Sure! ;)
Just getting a list of who and what we are (thanks to Aviari's profile for some of this!):
Teraldan - Male Halfling Paladin (and Thunder the warpony)
Denlin Longarm - Male Human Barbarian
Aviari Kyras - Female Half-Elf Druid (and Tarn the mule)
Malthor Goldbottom - Male Dwarf Cleric
Maldor Brock - Male Human Wizard (Abjurer)
Arya Muir - Female Human Bard
Ni-Cu - Female Human Monk
Lindell - Male Elf Rogue

Yep. Definitely feeling the 1e feel. ;)
Not very impressed with my first ever monk. And likely why I never played one in ADnD. Too. Damned. Squishy.
As long as we can roll up two characters each next time, y'know, after we all dead, and are allowed to come back.
Back in the day, when it was just me and my bro playing we always had very large 12+ parties - two or three henchman for a few characters etc. There were some very big parties in the 1e Rogues Gallery….
Not sure that would work for PbP...

Hey, if we burn all our bad rolls on the trogs, then the orcs have got something else coming to them entirely!
To Ni Cu; nice party list above! ; ) I'm thinking about adding a journal tab to keep track of our encounters, as these PbPs can get quite long...
And...
Well, that will put me back to 3, but being unarmored and still not in the protective ward is not a good strategy. That's why my question about being able to be in two ranks ;). Thanks Aviari...
No problem! I designed Aviari to be someone not used to working with a group, because I am not used to PbP. I figured I might have trouble with tactics in an on line game. We'll definitely have to deliberate a bit more on formation next time.
Aviari is flustered that these smelly lizards managed to ambush her! From now on, she's gonna be looking out for ambushes 'round every corner with her crazy perception. And she'll have her whistle ready to alert the party!

Seriously! ~_^ And we're still out in the woods.
Seems to me this was a clear case everyone saying, 'look at that incredible iron castle,' and then, 'ooh no! We forgot to look around at our immediate surroundings!' Gah! ;)

Whelp, at least I beat Maldor's initiative, so I hit(hopefully) one of the trogs before I got color sprayed. Jeez this fight is turning into a comedy of errors. :)
Edit: Actually, since I moved down to G4, and maldor moved up to G5, wouldn't that actually put me just to the side of the spray if he's aiming for the other trog?

I'm kind of confused... did Ni Cu get knocked down again during round 2? Because I did heal her on round 1, allowing her to get up again, if I'm reading the sequence of actions right...

People, just a heads up.
My girls' Summer vacations have began this week, so my posting may become sparse at times. My apologies in advance if it happens.
I will be usually around, and can probably keep up, but kids + Summer + Vacations = Mostly unpredictable ;)

Hey GM, I'm a bit confused. Are you saying my first set of rolls are used after Ni-Cu was healed, and was her striking from prone?
So if I do the same again, I use the second set of rolls, which also miss? I thought the first set were just dispensed with. If that's what you want to do, that's fine - Nee will stay down and miss with her strikes in Round 2.

Here is the 'default etiquette' that seems to exist on the PbP boards. A good set of rolls occurs must be used at the first opportunity. To be consistent, I try to not make people reroll as that makes them very upset--but it also applies to bad rolls. I also learned rolling dice for people on the boards can make them even more upset. So after three years, it is what seems to work.

Ok - that makes sense. Thanks for the heads up. Though this will likely result in me waiting until I am absolutely clear it is my action!!! Which is a good thing, if a little annoying for folks seeing me get OCD... ;)

Man I forgot how... swing-y low level combat is. In under 2 rounds we went from half the party getting mauled down to healing/stabilizing people and being one good hit away from winning. You never know how it's going to go!

FYI, potions are one of the few items that can be identified through non-magical means.
Identifying Potions: In addition to the standard methods of identification, PCs can sample from each container they find to attempt to determine the nature of the liquid inside with a Perception check. The DC of this check is equal to 15 + the spell level of the potion (although this DC might be higher for rare or unusual potions).

Apparently moving house is one of the highest ranked stressful activities of modern life. I actually enjoy the thrill of a new place, but I am a glutton for punishment. I moved rentals four times in four years but have been lucky to be in the same place now for the third year in a row. I don't look forward to moving now. Hope it all goes as smooth as possible!!! :)

There is a major relocation possibly coming up in my life in the next few months, and I am dreading it. >.>
I wish you the best of luck with your current move and hope that you end up being comfortable in your new place!! ^_^

Apologies for the delay people - last couple of days have been really busy with job hunting.
On a side note, I will be travelling tomorrow with the family, and until about midday Tuesday - internet access will be limited to phone, so posting will probably be irregular.
But I will still post today ;)

I take things slow a bit as this where the honeymoon is over and there are typically one or two drops. Post within forty eight hours to keep your spot. I call this a save versus Death where the DC is a post. Fallout is about 25% at this point, so statistically we would have one more drop after our earlier attrition.
Teraldan has been through this before. This is where we cull the herd a little before getting into a dungeon and finding out we have no mage.

I am here - got back yesterday from the weekend out with the family, and was kinda wasted to post much.
And my girls are still on summer vacations, so posting can get spotty sometimes. But I am game ;)
