With the sun behind him, Mog rides towards the Cathedral at a leisurely pace, his musket slung across his back.

The Goblin sits atop some sort of horrible, gaunt, rat-dog crossbreed monstrosity. The beast's only redeeming features is that it doesn't smell and that it appears to be the perfect size for its small rider.

Arriving at the Cathedral, Mog looks around for Gruul and the two Adventurers.

Ahh great, he's brought the 'dog' again... Gruul thinks as he approaches the cathedral and spots Mog already waiting.

The ranger approaches his friend with a greeting ignoring the mount sniffing at his hand, searching for any scrap of breakfast that might be hidden.

"How goes, friend? Still waiting on the others?" he says.

"Sure am," says Mog, turning to face his Half-Orc friend. "Haven't spotted them yet fough. Fough I do figure they won't 'ave much trouble findin' me, not wile I'm up 'ere anyway." He pats the Goblin Dog beneath him, scratching behind its ear. The Goblin never did bother to check if it was a he or a she...

Weilday, morning (day 4 of the adventure)

Moq and Grull meet on Canal Street (so named because it follows a canal through the city for several blocks, but the canal in question turned north a few blocks before the cathedral). They are on the South side of the Cathedral, near the Southwest corner, a part of the Cathedral known as “Law Makers Corner” because there are five statues on the Cathedral wall of famous historical men and women (three men, two women) that were known for bringing great laws to their people.

Krevek and Surana have met just around the corner, to the north, on North Market Street.

The main entrance to the cathedral is off North market Street, about fifty feet north of where Krevek and Surana wait.

Krevek and Surana are on the east side of North Market Street.
Gruul and Moq are on the North side of Canal Street.

As Grull and Moq round the corner, they see Surana and Krevek. There are a few other people on the east side of the street here, mainly people admiring the cathedral, and three people talking to a merchant selling fine leather hand bags.

On the west side of North Market Street there are two strange looking men, walking southward. The men look straight ahead, and do not acknowledge anyone, until Moq rounds the corner just behind Grull.
One of the men raises a small black box to his mouth and whispers a few words.

From the southwest corner of the intersection of North market Street and Canal Street, three more men, all who look identical to the first two, come out of a café, and point pistols at Moq and Gruul, while just to the north of Surana and Krevek, four other men step out from the cover of a large column of the cathedral façade and point pistols at Surana and Krevek.

Each of you is fired upon twice, except Gruul who is only subjected to one attack.
Pistol Attack #1 Surana: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Pistol Attack #2 Surana: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Pistol Attack #1 Krevek: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Pistol Attack #2 Krevek: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Pistol Attack #1 Moq: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Pistol Attack #2 Moq: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Pistol Attack #1 Gruul: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
all of the attacks are against your Flat Footed AC. The projectiles are darts, about three inches long. If you are hit, you need to make a Fortitude Save, DC 14. If you fail you become Sickened and Dazed. If you fail by 5 or more you are also rendered unconscious. If you make the save, you are Staggered for one round, and then can act normally.An encounter map will be up tonight.

Rounding the corner on Chewy Bite'Ems, Mog points out Krevek and Surana to Gruul.

"Ah, see! There they are Gruul! I told yer I'd find them."

The Goblin smiles, only to be smacked by two darts. One happening to hit his buckler, the other piercing his shoulder.

Fortitude Save (DC 14): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Mog is staggered until next round

Letting out a small shriek of pain, Mog angrily pulls the dart from his flesh, before shouting.

"Ambush! Oi!"

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Krevek, hit by the first of the two darts. looks around for the assailants as he pulls his sword.

Krevek feels something warm spreading from the dart, and he immediately feels nauseous, his eyes cannot focus, he staggers, and falls to the ground.

There is a map fixed in a link at the top of the page, in the short campaign description. Since this is a large encounter area it may be that the tokens for each character are hard to see. Moq is in square G,3; Gruul is in square F,2; Surana is in square A,0; and Krevek will stagger a bit, then fall unconscious at his initiative count in square -A,-1

As Gruul hears the cries of ambush, something flies past his head at incredible speed.

"Get out of here! Get help!" he yells to the people who had been milling in the street, admiring the sights.

The ranger readies his longbow, preparing the fire back at the trio who shot at Mog and himself.

Weilday, morning, day 4 (round 1)

Mog is up first, then Gruul, and then the Ambushers will go

When Gruul shouts out a warning, the reaction from the people standing around is not what he is expecting.

The merchant selling bags, gathers his wares and runs off to the south, but the customers he was entertaining look around curiously as to what it might be that is making Gruul shout.

Two elves standing in the middle of the intersection give Gruul very angry looks, but move off, slowly to the west.

Other people nearby actually begin to move closer to the intersection to “see” what is going on.
