Illenara
Sorry about that, I'm back now though. Should I post something something Illenara being awkward at Ranky and Cloud-wannabe, or would it be easier if I just let Rova's skirmish run its course without interruption so that we can get this train rollin'?
Duboris
You should post at any and all times you feel it necessary for your character to do something. And even then, if you don't, you should post your character's apathy towards the situation.
I should also mention that tomorrow after work, I'll be heading us off and starting this journey something fierce after a small bit of roleplay between everyone. That is, to say, if Deylarr posts before then.
Duboris
Alright so, Illenara is alive, Deylarr is too, I believe. Rova is going strong with a hole in his arm (and B I believe max health after the channel) and Aviz is most certainly alive. But the question on my mind is, is Rose still here? This is about that time that everyone starts taking a bow.
If anyone wants to jump ship, now would be the time. If not, you're in this for the run of it. The party isn't going to be split again for a long, long time.
Although I must make a recommendation for the future. I'm well aware that your characters have just met, and that the only one amongst you with substantial social skills (Or a care for appearances) is Illenara.
I savor role play. Lots of it. Not having a DM based NPC to speak to isn't a reason to not post, and I'd highly recommend your characters get a good bit of interaction amongst each other rather than with the surroundings in this next bit. It's a 3 day ride to Ostenso, and while there are a good number of NPCs to meet on the ship, I'd still suggest the first day you get to know each other as a group.
I try to post as often as I can, and daily, if possible, but sometimes I can't. I'm drafting this AP, after all, and working 7:30 to 4:00 (Not to mention I have to spend gas money on driving an entire hour to the work place, so you may as well say 6:30 to 5:00 with 2 hours of no pay) so exhaustion plays a key role.
We're fortunate at the moment because my work has me just restoring computers to factory settings, but that won't last long.
Basically enjoy yourselves! You're going to be stuck together for quite some time.
Also Rose, if you could check in, that'd be divine. Changing your profile picture on that character actually has me a little worried.
Rose Fury
Changing the picture was purely a matter of taste, never meant to worry. XD
I've been trying to check in while Rose was more or less waiting so you didn't figure I dropped, but hey. Since you posted things moving on, I've been rather busy between work and other things. You can expect quite a catch up post from me in a few hours though.
Call it... Inconvenient timing.
Rose Fury
Hey Duboris, I have a strange question. I know you overhauled traits (which I likeactually), but can we take the extra traits feat to snag Paizo traits in the future? There's one that's kind of a deal for my build overall. Just curious.
Duboris
Just those 2 lines of character interplay made me clap my hands together and laugh a bit, lol. That said, I'm gonna be moving us into the ship after my next post, so this next one will be another longwinded bit of chitter chatter from Alexander, and the next one will put you on the ship. It'll be a few hours from now so enjoy the interplay for now.
Duboris
I'd like to take this moment to point out that the campaign info tab is ever updating, and it's going so far as to list your experience, when you start gaining it. Mind you, Oswald was a CR 7 and the lot of you got full experience from that.
Deylarr
Illenara
Rova
Aviz
Jahl'ra
Rose
Sometimes I forget there are 6 of you... The general agreement, for me, at the moment is that if 4 of you post, I'll move us along very shortly unless your actions are completely required, and I'm about to make good on that fact.
If I remember correctly, Deylarr is the one that has posted the least, and I'm not shy about pointing that out. It doesn't really mean anything at the moment, but I love seeing you all post, as character interplay is something I literally live for as a world-crafting DM.
That said, I'm posting for Alexander right as we speak.
Oh, and sometime in the near future I'll be drawing your characters, as well as my own NPCs very soon and posting their linked Flickr images in the Campaign setting, though I'll notify the lot of you here.
All I can say is make your characters live up to the images they're going to have carved into this, why won't you? Here's to a potential year of roleplay. Cheers folks.
Rova the Strong
Yay! I'm looking forward to this, and I really want to stress to my fellow players, the nature of my character as Rova.
Remember that he, while adult for an Orc, is only 17 and has a very violent and close minded worldview, it may be possible to change him or at least get him to consider a different approach to his slaughter quest. Now of course this is my goal for the character and I in no way am trying to put that responsibility onto your characters, but if you want to help him along, feel free.
Rose Fury
It's undefined since there is no possible answer. For real fun, check out 0/0. Indeterminite. Instead of no possible answer, it is all possible answers at the same time. Now there's a fraction. XD
Aviz
Any number except for zero divided by zero is theoretically infinity, which is how you treat those numbers when integrating to find the limits of certain equations. Usually you use Lopital's rule to simplify it, but sometimes you can't. But I think if I saw i/0 I would just write "Nope" and move on to the next question lol.
Jahl'ra
L'hopital's rule is more of a Diff. Eq. than calculus. Yet with i/0, you can't really claim infinity as i ascribes the non-real aspect to the solution. A non-real (complex) infinity? Such a thing could exist on but one of the axes.
0/0 is sadly trivialized by its semantics. I do prefer the omnipresent identity postulate though.
Tosses mathcid on the GM to enhance burning.
Rose Fury
0/0=x is 0x=0. Nothing complicated, doesn't matter what x is, the equation works out. If x was 'lol the DM picked a bunch of math nerds', it would still come out 0.
With that said; lol, the DM picked a bunch of math nerds.
Aviz
Ah, but zero times anything equals zero, so you can literally insert any value for x and the function still works.
Anyways, let's stop rubbing salt in Duboris's wound lol.
Deylar Tiarshuro
It was my understanding there was to be no math in this debate?
Sorry for the lower posting rate - trying to balance the quiet shy guy with daily posts is proving harder than I expected. But Ive got some ideas on how to fix that, should be back on track now.
And while he'd never START a magic fight he wouldn't stand still and take it either.......
Aviz
A good way to balance a non-social person's posting rate is to have a lot of internal dialogue and their thoughts about the world around them.
Duboris
I do apologize sincerely for trying to force roleplay, but you guys might be the least group-interracting party I've ever had on these boards.
That said, I have some requests, if I may be so bold, but not before an apology.
I am completely incapable, most of the time, of posting large posts prior to 5:00 during the week days. That said, I am doing what I can. I haven't posted that many things, mind you, but I've been doing everything in my power to do so at a leisure pace, but I feel compelled to post more because, should I not, no one would.
That's my only complaint is that you guys don't really talk to each other, and playing your character up as "Antisocial" or "Quiet and Reserved" isn't the best of excuses, and I feel bad calling it that.
I'm just asking, but I get a little disappointed when I check in after a day or 2 and see 3 posts. You guys aren't producing any "Filler" between my posts and it's kind of stagnating the experience a little.
"Please, I beg of you, interract more."
I do apologize.
Duboris
I should also make it a point that later today I'm going to be going through the rather arduous task of updating the list of NPC names and giving quick synapses about them. The list has grown somewhat and I'm sure the number is somewhat overwhelming...
The most prominent are Cid, Oswald, Ranky, Alexander, Relveti, and a handful of others.
Not to mention Arcturus.
Jahl'ra
Illenara, if you were waiting for something to happen, you had a PC addressing you.
I guess I have the bad luck of asking direct questions which sit unanswered. In the future, I'll simply move on and assume they're a few chromosomes short of a karyotype.
Aviz
I just landed a solid job that gives me near daily 7-3 hours. My posting will be non-existent during those hours, but I wills till be active after that.
Duboris
Taken directly from the book itself.
"Hel is an odd Tiefling Rogue/Fighter with flowing red hair and prominent horns, as well as studded leather armor that does her mid-drift far too many favors. She is odd in the sense that she is attracted to those with lower charisma...
I will not be finishing that tidbit, as it contains spoilers.
That said, my sides. They hurt.
