Homebrew AP: Mercenaries (Inactive)

Game Master Duboris

Chul'Galbrann, the sky city of heroes, is the home to many mercenaries and great men and women. Join our handful of heroes as they discover great mysteries, fell legends, and defeat unparallelled odds.

They might also do some plumbing.

Iron Arm Ranky:

Guild Leader; Iron Arm Ranky - At first glance, and from his good side, Ranky appears to be nothing more than an old fighter but his eyes betray a long, deep sense of experience. He seems confident about just about everything he talks about and has displayed multiple occasions where he's used to tactics the PC's have used, insinuating that he was an adventurer quite some time ago, and quite a major one at that.

He is, however, retired now from the looks of it. That said, his key feature, and the reason for his namesake, is a wondrous metal arm that's displayed no small amount of magical abilities. There's certainly more to it than meets the eye. So far it's electrocuted, changed shape, heated up, and done many other things. Surely, it's a potent form of magic that seems to be built into his breastplate.

From the sounds of things he lost his arm to a traitor in the guild, and doesn't take kindly to talks of treachory.

Swordlord Cid:

Guildsmate: Swordlord Cid - Cid is a very learned adventurer with more than a few tales on his record. He's engraved his name suspiciously into history and carries himself as a conduit of pure boredom most of the time. He's taken an interest in Aviz and his weapon, and has made it a point to reveal his rather exquisitely crafted drying pole, an ancient weapon in every right.

He seems to be a rather important person in the guild and has lots of tips to offer as far as experience is concerned, and according to Ranky himself might be one of the strongest people in the guild, though why has yet to be revealed.

One potent story that Cid is the most famous for is his single-handed slaying of an Adult Green Dragon just outside the city of Sandpoint some years ago. Save for the corrosion of his coat, he came out almost completely unscathed.

Zarthid Gravolski:

City Founder: Zarthid - Zarthid is a long-dead wizard who founded the city of Chul'Galbrann. Save for the fact that he did that, as well as created the monstrous, unique variant of Linnorm that guards the city greedily not much is known about him, save that he and his fellow adventurers founded the city.

Dauglin:

Guildmate: Dauglin of the Fray - Dauglin is a Dwarf with a fancy Crossbow that was first met on the ship, the "New Blood" upon losing his marbles and getting electrocuted by a short-tempered Ranky. Deylarr made it a point to heal him, and as thanks for helping him gave the Cleric a potion as thanks. He seems indebted to the Cleric, but at the same time seems far too into it.

Alexander:

Guild Leader: Alexander of Wyvern's Soul - Alexander is referred to as a powerful Eldritch Knight. His specific class of interest isn't mentioned just yet, but he's certainly the most capable person within the guild. To make matters even more interesting his adventuring days still aren't over, and he makes frequent forays out into various places to further his own goals.

Arcturus:

Guildmate: Simple Arcturus - With his only defining feature being his long red hair, Arcturus, nicknamed "Archie" is probably the weakest person to ever grace the halls of Wyvern's Soul. He's currently missing after just his first mission and has been described as "A rather mundane individual." He's been believed to have been abducted by Goblins near a place named "Fort Gibraltar" just north of Ostenso. Rescuing him is the group's first mission upon arrival.[/b]
