The Winds of Fate
Given the ease you dispatched the other spiders and your ranged attacks versus those of the remaining spider, I think we can forgo rounds and narrate your elemental burning the webbing to get clear shots att he cowering arachnids.
There are a number of bodies in dangling cocoons. Some of them turn out to be various animals, a black bear, a couple wolves and a cougar. Two appear to be humans, both male. The first is the one you already partially discovered in the leather armor, the other is wearing some sort of hide armor. From both bodies you can scavenge 179 gp and assuming you cast detect magic, you find gloves and a wand that both glow. (The gloves are of Swimming and Climbing and the wand is a partially used wand of cure light wounds with 27 charges remaining.)

In addition, assorted coins worth 112 gp can besalvaged from the owlbear’s nest.

”That or from one of the River Kingdoms. Mivon, Daggermark, Pitax - or somewhere else. I imagine that one of them would have coveted this land, and not be too pleased to find us here.”
Finnegan keeps watch while the others search the room.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Alexander points out the magic items, but isn't quite sure what the chain shirt and ring do.
Othniel Laurentius
"I do like the idea of dragging it back, perhaps we could mount its skull in a public place, to show the villeins that we have saved them from the threat, and show travelers how mighty this land's rulers are. But before we leave, we should search the rest of these caverns, so far as we are able. Who knows what else might be lurking herein?"
The Winds of Fate
You backtrack into the cavern that contained the already dead Owlbear and look about. The most obvious thing in the cavern is the giant carcass what is likely the body of the owlbear’s mate, slain by what appear to be bandits. Two smaller owlbears, cubs, lay dead beside her and a third owlbear cub, bedraggled, wounded and struggling to live gently nudges it's mother's corpse as it lets out pitiful little hoots. It ignores anyone who approaches is and seems interested only in it's mother.
The corpses of the bandits still wear their gear, consisting of six suits
of studded leather armor, six light wooden shields, six daggers, six longswords, six shortbows, 84 arrows, and a total 96 gp.
Now you have gone through the only two entrances to this cavern. The cavern you fought the enraged Owlbear in had three entrances. One you have gone through, the other you can see though and that it leads into the first cavern that you entered and a third, 5 foot wide tunnel that is on the other side of the water in the cavern. If you want to go back into the main, entrance cavern, there is the cavern on the south side that you have not gone through yet.
Alexander Orlovsky
Loot updated.
Agreed, the skull will make a fine trophy.
Entering the next cave, Alexander notes the young owlbear. Before moving in he looks over the gear with detect magic. Once finished he cautiously he approaches the cub.
Handle Animal: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33
Eduard Petrov
Eduard will observe the ring and mithril for a few moments as Alexander looks around.
Taking 10 on Spellcraft
Sorry, was thinking about other things. But that ring is of Animal Friendship, and I believe that the chainmail has a fairly substantial protective enchantment.
Othniel Laurentius
"Let's." Othniel says, as he tests out his new chain shirt and sword. Going to have to figure out a new spell, I guess. No use for Mage Armor while I'm wearing this.
The Winds of Fate
The little Owlbear cub seems to respond to Alexander and will toddle after him and the rest of your group when you move on to the next cavern.
Your group goes up the wide tunnel that would have been used by the Owlbear and enters the fungus cavern again. Now you take the remaining unexplored tunnel from this area and look into the cavern it leads too.
Rotting leaves and other vegetation fill this small, irregular cavern. Water drips from slimy vines and roots that hang from the ceiling, collecting into puddles on the uneven floor. Three small openings, little more than wide cracks in the stone, lead to the northwest, southeast, and south.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
Shambling mounds are strange creatures, more akin to animate tangles of creeping parasitic vines than single rooted plants. They are omnivorous, able to draw their sustenance from nearly anything, wrapping their creepers around living trees to draw forth the sap, sending rootlets into the soil to absorb raw nutrients, or consuming flesh and bone from crushed prey.
Othniel Laurentius
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Othniel gestures with a sword. "That big heap of vegetation in the middle of the room...was that there before? I could swear it's moved. Like it's aware of us."
