Well, I am finally back. By the time the boards started working about I was too busy and stressed for any posting. We've bought a house, moved into and finally have internet access again. Finnegan is built as a switch hitter, but he's not really a front-line type - more a supplemental melee combatant when he can't do archery. Having a more dedicated fighter-type would be very useful.

Perhaps we should look into 'caches' of undead skeletons that we can use for defense? Just pop a coin in a slot and out comes one as guard/attacker

If you use bloody skeletons, they'll even automatically regenerate themselves.

Hello all! I am very excited at the opportunity to play this unique twist on a classic adventure. I've been involved in a few Kingmaker games in the past but none of them got particularly far.
I welcome any and all questions/comments/concerns about my character, both with fluff and crunch.
As for joining up with the party, I have a neatly written tie-in to the story. Marcus is the leader of a group of mercenaries and has decided to enlist himself and his men as members of the Raven's Guard for the kingdom of Zandanak. If you want they could already be established as members of these elite knights and some sort of event brings Marcus to the attention of the party (perhaps his hidden heritage as an Orlovsky, perhaps he performs some sort of appraise-worthy feat, perhaps he saves a party member from an assassination attempt, etc.). Alternatively, the Raven's Guards were already founded and Marcus has just arrived recently to bolster their ranks and try to gain employment. Of course all the party would see is a contingent of armed mercenaries walking up to their kingdom, which may stoke tensions before they can explain their purpose their.
