Character Creation:
Please use a 20 point-buy build with maximum starting gold for your class.
You can use any of the following books for classes, archetypes, traits, feats, spells, etc:
- Core Rule Book
- Advanced Class Guide
- Advanced Player's Guide
- Pathfinder Unchained
- Ultimate Campaign
- Ultimate Combat
- Ultimate Intrigue
- Inner Sea Gods
- Inner Sea Races
- Inner Sea World Guide
Pick one trait from the Campaign Trait list on pages 9-10 of the Player's Guide.
I understand that one or two of you are building two characters for the game? That's fine. We'll need 4-6 PCs.
Any questions so far?

this is me Chris
For your campaign trait, you need to pick a poison for immunity: "...pick one type of poison listed below to be immune to, having undergone a long and painful process of building up an immunity to its effects: blue whinnis, giant wasp poison, medium spider venom, small centipede poison, or spider vine poison (a poison derived from a toxic plant native to the Mwangi Expanse)."
You would have boarded the Jenivere about 4-8 weeks ago, just so you know.

Fixed on both :) oh, the fey foundling feat is the difference on Whisper. I chose adopted as a trait, which gives me an added trait since she was adopted by humans. What I don't know is whether this means I put additional bonuses in the trait box or if I just put the word "human", which is what I did for now.

MWAH-HA-HA-HAAAA!
The "adopted" trait lets you pick a trait from another species that's not physically dependent. So you can pick a trait from the human racial list.
Humans are really pretty lame, racially. You might want to change out adopted for a different trait that gets you something better.
Might want to do it fast...

Yes, casting a spell would have been a standard action in place of an attack roll.
You need to make an attack roll (1d20+your quarterstaff attack modifier) to see if you hit. Going to your quarterstaff line under melee, that's 1d20+0. You can also put the -1 in the damage roll using (dice)1d4-1)(/dice) with the proper brackets.
You should still be able to edit your post to insert the attack roll. (dice=Quarterstaff atk)1d20+0(/dice) or something like. Actually, with the sickend condition, you are at 1d20-2 for the attack.

Quarterstaff (and other dual weapon) tutorial:
A weapon that has two sides, like a quarterstaff, can make either one or two attacks during a turn. If you make one attack, it is a standard action at your standard attack modifier.
If you opt to make two attacks, you must:
- Have and use a full round action
- Incur the penalties for two-weapon fighting.
A full-round attack means that you can do NOTHING else in that turn except take a 5' step and free action (like speaking). You don't have a move action to move across the battlefield, stand up, or retrieve/draw a weapon. The only thing you're really doing is making two attacks.
The penalties for fighting with two weapons are harsh. For the quarterstaff, you would be at -4 for your first attack and -8 for your second attack (without the two-weapon fighting feat, which Whisperleaf doesnt have). Those penalties are in addition to any situational penalties, like being sickened (-2, so attacks would be -6/-10!).

I'm back! For your spare time reading pleasure, I have posted a couple of links in the campaign information tab to play by post guides from other players and GM's. I hope you find them informative and useful.
I'm putting together the forward moving post right now. It will be up later this morning. Thank you for your patience. This has not been a fun couple of weeks to say the least.

OK, you guys have been throwing me with Empathic Link stuff, so I finally dug into it deeply.
Anything with a familiar has an Empathic Link with that familiar.
Druid has nothing about Empathic Link without an archetype. Pack Lord archetype says the druid finally gets Improved Empathic Link with all their companions. Oh really? When did they get the base link?
Hunter also gets Improved Empathic Link without having Empathic Link explicitly stated.
The only conclusion I can draw is that all familiars and formal animal companions (i.e., ones that come with the class feature, not purchased mounts and pets) are intended to have Empathic Link. I don't care what any formal rulings are, it doesn't make sense for a druid NOT to have that ability. So you can consider the base Empathic Link ability to be inherent with any familiar or animal companion that comes with your class.
Whew!
Bonnie said that there's a new patch or release or area or some such thing out now with WoW and you're all pretty busy. Let me know when you're ready to continue.
