Ntanga looks at the Paladin and sneers What is evil in your society has nothing to do with Jungle law, I admit roughting up the Librain may have been out line. You all can tell that Ntanga is sincere in his voice
The Librain looks at the Ape and says I will not give you the Tome despite the law
[ooc]Kest can tell the man is sincerep[/occ]
We paid in rubbies and diamonds human about 20,000 in gold by your standards Ntanga responds. All ask is that the Tome be given to me and I will pay the Librarian for his damages, does that sound fair?
Desidera Tahn
Desidera looked back and forth at the discussions going on and frowned slightly as things got closer and closer to an ultimatum. Considering the options, before them, she could think of no clear way of settling things. Politely, she looked towards the paladin, and smiled. "We appear to be mediating this dispute, sir paladin. There are no deals that have been made, save for what has already occurred."
Recalling something, she asked Arwen directly. "Are either of these individuals involved in this dispute evil, sir?"
Arwen McLyntier
The Ape are indeed Evil he looks straight in their leader's eye as a Challenge Mortal law, like your jungle law has nothing to do with what is Evil or if Good. It is not even God's Law. Selfishness, greed, or extreme vanity do not make one Evil North theives or even assasin of small Nature. Evil implies hurting, oppressing, and killing others. Some evil creatures simply have no compassion for others and kill without qualms if doing so is convenient. Others actively pursue evil, killing for sport or out of duty to some evil deity or master. But these things are hard to Explain. i do not Necessarily comprehend all the Moral compass of what is and what is not Evil. I Know you are Evil. It is not by something or someone. You are and I do know of it. And that is enough for me. he clearly says for all to hear

"Since it seems both parties are willing to accept our arbitration, we should begin," I begin, kneeling half-protective, half-restraining, across the librarian's wounded form. [b]"It seems to me that both the Librarian and my esteemed Tiefling colleague of Abadar - who makes a strong point -" I concede, "are concerned as to the purpose behind your seeking to obtain this book, concerns substantiated both by the excessive price paid for the book, and my compatriot's" I nod in Arwen's direction, "sensation of your wickedness," I open my hand, admitting the point, "by our standards. Can you offer some explanation."
For your part," I continue, addressing the librarian without taking my attention from Ntanga, "I do not understand how the decision to part with the book came to be reversed - nor how you justify failing to return Ntanga's people's handsome fee when it was."
Wes Roberts
Not sure which one to roll, so I just rolled both.

"Well now, I know nothing about good or evil- I find it all a bit fuzzy in the end- but gold is something I understand very clearly. I have to say, our furry mates do seem to have the high ground on this one lads." He pats Ntanga on the shoulder and turns around to the rest of the party and stands beside Ntanga. When he is pretty sure that none of the gorillas are looking, he winks at Desidera and mouths to Aodheil 'Say the word' as he rests his hand on the hilt of his sword as casually as he can.
DM Ashman
Ntanga eases his presence and the other apes relax a bit. I will be willing to explain, the Tome is a book that will lead us to understanding. One of the Shory flying cities is in our land. It has a magic that we don't understand. The magic is preventing us from stoping our enemies in the fallen city. Those enemies are more "evil" by your standards Paladin. They seek to open a rift like the "World Wound" they also see to device called the Kreedrak. This device location is found in the pages in the Tome.
Jaden looks at the Ape That is a likely story Ape. How do we know your kind won't try to fly the city over the world. The Tome also says the Kreedrak is not only a power source but a device to teach how to make a Flying City engine. I can see your god king trying to learn the magic to rule us.
Jaden looks at the group Will you all allow this?
Aodhiel
"I have concerns in every direction," I admit. "Not least," I address Jaden, "that you'd chose to sell such dangerous knowledge, or leave it freely available upon your lending-shelves." I sigh, and turn to Ntanga. "The path Ragathiel has set before us is now clear to me. We must accompany you to your homeland, and there we must defeat your enemies, prevent their opening the Worldwound, and secure this Kreedrak to some place of safety. Doubtless their searches are already well advanced, or mayhap they already possess a copy of the book."
Wes Roberts
I feel like we should be called The Fellowship Of The Tome.
Wes claps his hands together, "Alas! Finally an idea that I agree with! Just a motley crew of adventurers, and a band of talking apes! Wadya say Des, sound like the start of an adventure to you?
Kayla - Black scorpion
stealth: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28
Kayla slipped into a position to see if any of the Apes were going to double cross her lord. being observant of the other apes that could be a threat.

Desidera Tahn
Desidera glanced towards Arwen, and then back to Wes with an expression that said that she was uncertain. "It does sound like an adventure.. I am just uncertain of who we are helping." There were things about this that did not sit well with her. "Uncle, the Paladin-- Lyntier?", she said cautiously, uncertain of his name. "He has said these apes are evil. I don't discount your passion for justice, but whatever good we would be doing, we would be helping evil. I don't like that idea..." She trailed off.
She loved her uncle, but his passion for justice was strong. "I understand that the first problem is that the Librarian took the money for an item that he did not deliver. That should be returned to make amends. Ntanga and his group are something separate, and I will not get into a moral debate right now", she said meaningfully. Her hands had not left the sword, but she did not look likely to raise it yet.
DM Ashman
Ntanga looks at the group then utters something as an ape. As he does the each ape looks up at him. Nothing threating to the group but it does catch everyone attention. Ntanga then says I will leave you to your bickering and sorting out your morals. I will find my tome With that all the apes vanish along with Ntanga.
Jaden looks worried and says You can't let them get the Tome
Arwen McLyntier
It is rather simple to me he says as Desidra looks at him I can not and will not associate with evil creatures. Getting the tome for ourselves comes firts. Then head over to this flying city and do battle with this Greater Evil and should those ape show themselves I will Do battle with them also as some point in time.
Kayla - Black scorpion
seeming to appear out of nowhere Kayla is standing beside Aodhiel, My Lord, to kill something just because on person says it is evil does not seem right.
we should obtain this tome, but I would advise against killing until we are certain of the other's intentions.
Jonahkan
I smile at Kayla, and the gentleness of her nature even in the direst of situations. "So honoured Ragathiel wills," I agree. "Nonetheless, every party to events thus far has agreed this book poses a significant and immediate threat to many lives. We should secure it, using peaceful means, so it does not endanger others - nor draw danger down upon those who currently possess it, should there have been some mistake as to the nature of the knowledge it contains."
Kayla - Black scorpion
if you check Kayla's back story, you might see why she is not to keen on killing just because some else says they are evil.
Desidera Tahn
With the departure of Ntanga and the other apes that were with him, Desidera sighed and frowned at the "Great" Librarian, shaking her head at the difficult situation that they found themselves in, along with the choices that they would have to make that lay ahead. She was curious about the direction they would be going, however. The words of her uncle and a Paladin were going to lead them in interesting directions.
Sheathing the sword, she folded her arms. "Well, we have our first order of business: Learning about this book and what it is related to." If everyone agreed, they were going to spend another day here, likely, before they headed out in pursuit.
Wes Roberts
"Sandpoint? I have family in Sandpoint! I say we set sail quickly! " then he waits for a second and calms down. "Okay a plan be might be handy. "

DM Ashman
Jaden looks at the Paladin and says Up north refers to Numeria and here is a letter from me. He then sits down to write a note to Nidra.
What I did not tell you till now is that the Tome is cannot be destroyed. There was an article in one of the lost of the Journals of the Pathfinder Society. I have heard of new strange weapons coming from Numeria and hoped one wold be able to destroy the Tome. I can tell you that others outside of Ntanag are after the Tome. So please destroy it or find this Kreedak before the Apes or anyone else can use it.He hand the note to the Paladin.
Aodhiel
"Sandpoint is naught but fifty miles east along the coast road," I remark. "We could easily walk in a few days," he sighs, "but our errand has no slight urgency. Mounts could cover the distance in a day, perhaps two, and would afford us freedom to pursue should the book have been seized already." I turn to the librarian. "My apologies for the necessity of this, but can your august organisation supply us the resources to complete this quest?" I pause. "No obligation will attach on our part, however. I am not yet convinced your intentions are the best, nor that you are the best guardian of the book even if they are."
Wes Roberts
"Lads-if I may- I would like two throw in me two coins. My heart lies with the sea, but a ship is a hard thing to come by, and a crew is even harder to come by. Unless there is one close at hand, a horse would be the fastest option." Quietly he thinks to himself, Not to mention that I don't know if a Kraken is lying in wait for me to set sail.
DM Ashman
Jaden then clears his throat Their maybe a better way of getting you all to Sandpoint. In one of the Library rooms here is a portal, it will come out by the ruins next to Sandpoint. I only offer it now because I did not know if you where going to go after the Tome or not He says to the group.
If you will follow me I will take you to it since time is of the essence.
Aodhiel
Sense Motive 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Assuming he is on the level... "That would hasten our pursuit considerably. May we return the same way?" I ask. "If so, I strongly suggest you guard this portal well, since you are already attacked once here."
DM Ashman
Jaden says Yes you can get your horses and there is a side room where we can bring them in. As far getting back I will give you a stone of opening that will allow you to travel back here. Now I must warn you that this portal is subject to some magical issuess but it has not happend in while. Considering your mission and the urgency I suggest we move on.
The group is escorted to the room and each person horses are there for them. Everyone has a mount.
Jaden then looks and says I will offer anyone who wants out now please speak up
Desidera Tahn
Desidera looked at her uncle, pretty certain that he was committed to this endeavor. That of course meant that she was going along. After all, if they had seen talking apes, the closer they got to the book, they could very likely see other talking animals. That thought was something that intrigued her greatly. "I wonder what we'll find in Sandpoint?", she mused aloud. Would this "king" have more lackeys?
Wes Roberts
Wes looks a Desidera and shrugs, Well there are no talking gorillas for one, but the sand is so sharp that it can poke right through your boot! Hence the name "Sandpoint."
Bluff: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Wes manages to keep a straight face the whole time.

"Perhaps we should consider thick-soled boots," I suggest. "Also... Desi, we should be cautious. These 'apes' wore collars, perhaps of intelligence, or perhaps..."[b] he gives her a moment, before continuing. [b]"Of control," he agrees. "If the putative villains of this piece are manipulating and controlling the minds of innocents, we must be mindful of their rescue and release, should matters turn unavoidable to violence. Bad enough with animals, worse, if such has been wrought on the souls of men."
Desi will be well aware - men, here, is broadly defined, encompassing all genders and races - the words is merely an affectation of his time as a circuit priest in human lands.
DM Ashman
As the group travels throught the portal, there is a feeling of nausa. Each of you feel as your being dropped from great height. As you come through there is a mist that hangs on the all around you. There giant fauna every and strange flora. There is a buzzing sound overhead and as each of you look up you see giant insects flying. Behind you is what appears to be rift closing. The mountains in the back and in front of you are Red. There is a shriek in the distance but is not close. The giant insects seem to pay no attention for moment as long no one attacks them or provokes them.
any one want to attempt rolls my do so.
Geo skill /Nature will do
Wes Roberts
I don't have either skill, but can I tell that it's at least not Sandpoint?
