Assuming you take 20 to search the head.

This large chamber appears to have recently undergone a renovation. A broken wall partially blocks a dark alcove to the northwest, surrounded by broken bricks and scattered debris. A circular niche on the opposite side of the room to the southeast holds a raised table. In the center of the room, three beds have been crammed together beneath a single huge bearskin bedspread. South of the beds, a massive floor-to-ceiling mirror stands against the wall, and a large dust-covered armoire hunkers between two sets of doors along the northeast wall. And some large corpses lie around throughout the room, surrounded by flies.

You find a bricked-up wall with a 3-foot-diameter hole punched through it. Aside from thick cobwebs and hundreds of harmless spiders, the dark alcove behind the wall appears empty, but a closer look reveals a curious human skull lying forgotten beneath the cobwebs and broken masonry.

Daseem stared at the hole long after Menrozzar removed the skull. Eventually he turned with a quizzical look on his face, "Why was it t-there?"

Not that it matters. Anyway let's go back to the chapel and destroy the remains on the altar?

Menrozzar stops, sighs, and then sits down in front of the hole in the wall, leaving the skull where it was.

Bupkis sees Menrozzar give up his attempt and asks, "What happens?"

He looks into the hole, and tries to discern if there's a trap that needs to be disabled.

Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

If Bupkis notices a trap, he will try to disarm it (Disable Device +15); he can disable mechanical traps, but not magical ones. He can disarm traps at a distance, using Telekinetic Finesse.
If he doesn't see any traps, he will try to retrieve the skull using Basic Telekinesis; it works like Mage Hand, except it can move magical items, with a maximum weight of 30 lbs at his current level.

”What’s the point? There’s a bunch of orcs and giants and whatnot here that are probably going to eat us. Then they’ll probably join this Storm Tyrant or whoever he is and kill all the humans and other races like us. We might as well just give up.”

Menrozzar seems incredibly sad and melancholy - most unusual.

Menrozzar allows the Dwarf to drag him to his feet, sighing, and says, "Okay. I guess there's as much point in wandering around aimlessly as there is sitting here. Where do you want to walk to?"

As Bupkis suggested, going back to the chapel is the obvios next step. Bupkis drags the sack with the skull and Ivan drags Menrozzar.

The ghost in the chapel is very excited, as you enter again. "You found it!"

Bupkis reaches up and puts the sack onto the alter, then floats the skull out.

The intention was to also bring the skeleton from the ritual room (I think we left it there).

"Now we need to smash?", he asks, wanting to be sure what they had to do.

Menrozzar allows himself to be drug along - there was no point in resisting, after all. Once back in the chapel, he stood there and sighed, staring at nothing.


"You could put a blanket over the skeleton." Droja suggests.

Bupkis agrees with Droja, "Fabric over skeleton stops pieces flying." He takes out his goblin-sized blanket, and does his best to cover the bones. "Ivan uses Aggrimosh hammer?"

Daseem shrugged and with Bupkis's blanked wrapping the bones he started trying to smash them with the pommel of his hammer. Probably not the most effective strategy but it pleased him. Still he glanced at Ivan as if to say, you're welcome to try with your hammer...

Ivan glances up to the ghostly figure, waving for Daseem to stop for a moment.

He quietly whispers Are ye sure we can be trustin' this ghost? It seems more angry than relieved. Jus wait a moment.

Ivan will act as if he was setting things up while asking.
So, what's ye name? An what were ye brothers names? An, how did ye manage to be bound ta' this place? Did tha' inheritor not accept ye? While he does he tries to get a feel for this ghost.

Daseem paused momentarily and considered, this was a temple of Iomadae and as such he doubted a malignant spirit would be able to appear here. Still...
