In spite of his fear he moved next to Bupkis, opened and readied his beartrap, and waited.

Menrozzar finds it easy to slam with his large hammer into the mess of brambles and does an impressive amount of damage to it.

As it can't reach Menrozzar, the Brambleblight rages at Ivan. Which makes Ivan look like he got pulled through the thorny bush. At least the parts that are not covered in iron.
Slam: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 2 = 302d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 4) + 7 = 14
Slam: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 13 + 2 = 292d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 4) + 7 = 16

The animated bramble goes for Menrozzar, but he is lucky and evades the attack.
Slam: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d6 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Grab: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
