Swiftstab, who was just about to lift up the lid of the box, jumps up at the notion that everything is about to go sky-rocketing. "O-oh, not good.". He tumbles through to the drivers cabin and assess the situation. A chair, probably for the one steering the carriage. A round hand-grip with two levers, two pressure plates in the bottom, two bigger levers to the side. Those pressure plates probably must be pushed by who-ever sits in this chair. Fat chance, I can't reach those from in there. Livers probably power it. But wiggling them did nothing. Then he notices the keyhole at the side of the circular handgrip and with a grin he brings out Johnnies lockpick again and starts poking around with the tiny metal probes. disable device:lockpick: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20

Round 13

Jack positions the two boxes in such a way that it won't fall off, finding some rope to strap it down. Helping York put on his box as well.


York hears the claptrap over the intercom and raises his hand, saying, "God save the Quenn."

York has grabbed a few more crates in the last few rounds helping Jack.

Lucky for you Swiftstab the keys are still in the ignition, though good luck at figuring out the mechanics of the vehicle considering your background, let alone reaching those pedals.

CL4P-TP:
The other service bot, points out a few things that you can do to help repair the shuttle, mostly reconnecting wires from fire damage. "Oh, and the goblin either needs to be smashed into goo or raise its hand or we all go boom."

okay, then no lockpick. And really, how hard can it be to drive a truck? Just pull and press everything that moves untill it responds! The hard thing isnt to figure out how to get it moving, but rather how to pull it back out of those trees your heading straight for.

round 14

Swiftstab turn around the key as far as it goes, expecting it to open a secret hatch or something. Instead the carriage springs to life, roaring like some kind of feral beast. A constant shuddering goes through the contraption, as if humming with arcane power. "Woohohoho! Now which of these levers makes this beast go forward?"
He pulls both handles on the side of the big circular handhold. Lights start flashing and thin metal sticks begin swiping across the window.
"Ack! Something is attacking the window! Grab it Jack! Johnny, get your lazy but in here! I cant reach those steering-pads down there while standing on this chair!"

Round 14

Jack's spells run out, he is reduced in size and his damage boon wears off. However seeing they are in danger yet again he decides to throw caution to the wind and buff up again. Spending 1 power point as a standard action, 7/11 left.

Jack regrows in size and moves closer to the creature attacking the Truck, unable to reach it for now. Ready to charge it soon.

If there is nothing.

"I don't see anything Swift.. just get this thing moving the whole place is about to blow." Jack says as he grabs a hold of the side of the truck.

***Round 14***

Johnny comes through the window that Swiftstab did, he goes down and starts pressing pedals. 1d8 ⇒ 6 low is reverse.

Between the two of you the large mechanical beast comes fully alive. It charges forward, good think Jack could not get fully around, the truck goes straight into the shuttle, though since it is at an angle the truck grinds against the shuttle. 1d3 ⇒ 2 1 to right, 2 straight, 3 to left.

With Swiftstab's quick thinking and reflexes he turns the wheel and the truck swerves to the right. Though the truck does not respond as well as Swiftstab and after grinding for about 15 feet it moves into the joint and crunches to a stop.


***Round 15***

The service bot says, "When, when, when, now, now hit the button now!."

The Frozen One hits the button.

All the flashing red lights stop. The service bot tells C4AP-TP, "Self-Destruct aborted. Now we just need to stop the flames before they make the other engine explode."

"Owghay..." Swiftstab mumbles with his face pressed flat too the windshield "Pwesshuh pwate ain' f'r steewing." His headache had returned.
"Oi" it sounded from down below "That one makes it go forward."
Swiftstab pulls himself from the window and seats down on the circular handhold.
"Then what does the other plate(s) do?" He asks down to Johnny
"I dunno, let me try" Johnny crawls back to his position in front of the pressure plates, rather then behind them due to a very abrupt stop. He puts some weight on (one of) the other plate(s)

How many paddles does the truck have? I assumed only gas and break, perhaps even the clutch, but from your chance roll earlier I am now under the assumption that there is a reverse down there?! And is the engine still humming or did that crash kill it?

Round 15

Jack is holding on expecting the truck to take off. He gets off and walks round to the front tapping the window. "Hey swift, everything alright in there?" His size a lot smaller than it was before he fastens his tentacles to the side of the truck lifting himself up to see what the two small creatures are doing.

This is going to end well...


Shifter, considering its position was forward or back. Four paddles: gas, brake, E brake, and clutch. Engine is still humming though there is some squealing.
Jack, you would have at least an idea of how to drive if, not as proficient as a 16 year old. :)
Much better than the two that are fumbling through it right now.

""Attention citizens of Transport Shuttle 108-1! There is no cause for alarm. This Frozen Convict has resolved the problem! Now all that is left is to put out the fires and loot this big bird! Can I get a Whoop Whoop!!"

With that he gets off the intercom and heads down the middle of the ship, picking up the first fire extinguisher he finds.

"The other three paddle's don't do anything it seems. But the right one is for forward" Johnny proclaims
"Maybe rest is for turning left or right but only while going forward"
"You mean I'd have to press two at once to make a turn? Then if I am steering and making it go forward, what are you doing up there?"

He still doesnt know where all the numbers are for, but far more puzzling is the 'R' at the end... R... R... Ramming? nah, the machine already does that in '1' Roof? Roll over? Rock-climbing? RIGHT! That one had to be for turning Right!
He changes the lever from 1 to R
"Never mind Johnny, I think I figured out the turning right part! Can you hit the forward pressure plate again?"
"PADDLE! Stop calling it a pressure plate, you moron, its called a paddle!"
"Just press it already!"
Johnny complies.

The truck abruptly springs back alive but this time going straight backwards the way it came. Jack, hanging on to the side of the truck holds on for his dear life, less he not get run over or squeezed and smeared against the hull of the ship.
reflex to grab and hold the steering wheel: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Swiftstab just barely manages to hold on to the circular handgrip as he is once again launched towards the window. The 'steering right lever' is now out of his reach. He tries to match through the rear window but crates are blocking his view.
York looks up in surprise when he hears a bestial roaring, just in time to see a truck with side-jack sprinting straight at him.

Climb Check DC 20, to grab on and not be trampled by the cargo truck.
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
York takes 2d6 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4 damage from taking a glancing blow from the Cargo Truck. Though he grabs on to the back part that hit him. He tries to haul himself up, Climb Check DC 20 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26, and succeeds. He is now in the back of the Cargo Truck grabbing on for dear life. "Hey, who is driving this truck?!?"

We now have basically three groups going on. It will be a while before Five and those that went with him get back. We have the Cargo Truck, trucking it away, due to Swiftstab's failure to hear the whole message. Finally we have Claptrap, Frozen One, and a burning shuttle.

CL4P-TP:
Moving things along. Claptrap and the Frozen One get to Section D, he begins to absorb the heat, not thinking it would affect the bot.

Fortitude DC 18 or fatigue and 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 cold damage as the heat is drained from you. I am not for sure if that attack would affect you?

You start seeing that the fires are being put out from both sides and begin to see the giant from before. They continue to put out the fires, with or without your help. The extinguisher you have just has water in it and it freezes before it can be of any use. The two figures extinguish the last few flames. They look at each other, sizing each other up. Clap trap do you do anything?

Waiting for interactions between the individuals in the other groups as well.

By the ancients. Jack exclaims as he hangs on the now speeding truck. His tentacles tightening on each turn.

"Swift step on the brake. On the brake!!" Jack starts motioning towards one of them to roll down the window. "We don't need to be going this fast." Jack plants himself to the side of the truck in a wall climbing pose then unlatches one of his tentacles and feeds it through the open window. He will try to press the brake. If he fails at this he presses something else that might end terribly.

I'll use acrobatics for this as that makes some sense.

Elo nods to Five and hefts the body into the back of the truck before jumping aboard herself, scrabbling to hold onto her seat as the truck blasts off, eyes wide as she hears the claptrap. "What... what the hell kind of robot is that?!?"

Round 15-20

Elo lets out a long breath; that giant flaming hulk to the side is now slightly less terrifying.

Shaking her head, she grins. "Glad I gave that cold fellow the benefit of the doubt."

Attention somewhat eaten up by the odd apparition who looks absolutely terrifying with a steering wheel in his- it's? hands, Elo manages to scrape together enough brain power to turn to Five. "Oh- hi. Yeah, it's Elo. As to why I'm here..." looking between everyone, she thinks for a moment and then her expression darkens. Raising her hands, she shows the bow of bright blue energy. Pulling back on the string, a thick bolt of power manifests itself. "I'm here the f#%@ Atlas hard with one of these." Point made, she dismisses the bow and it vanishes. "As for why I was on that shuttle- my brain still feels like it's de-orbiting, once I hit the ground I'll let you know." She pauses for a moment as the truck sways to the side, gripping the door tightly. "And... you? Thanks for the lift, by the way."

I got no special immunities/resistances against cold :) apperently I can freeze solid, I am immune to fatigue however.

Balthe and Elo head into Section C, where they find the Frozen One in a crouched position as if meditating, then he looks up once you enter. He puts his arms down and ice forms sharp icicles in hand. Though he does not advance.
