Gleam

Gleam moves up, forcing his way through the curtain before negotiating with kobold using a huge overhand strike.
power falcata: 1d20 + 14 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 14 - 2 = 17
damage: 2d6 + 20 ⇒ (3, 4) + 20 = 27

My bad, Kaye, I somehow completely glossed over your bomb, don't ask me how. You did hit the dragon.... for what it matters, heh. Reflex save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 And Kibizax took full splash. As a side note, you're maybe doing your bombs slightly incorrectly (or you're just phrasing it slightly ambiguously) On a direct hit, the (primary) target doesn't get any save for half damage. The only save allowed is for the splash damage-ees. To me your text has been reading like you are assuming the primary target gets a Reflex save for half; they do not. If I'm just misinterpreting your wording, then please ignore this!
?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Kaye was certain his bomb had impacted the dragon directly and dealt it some pain, at least, shortly before the dragon faded from sight.
Now for this round!
Orin hurries forward, while Osten, Navoreal, and Gleam converge on the kobold chief and strike. Gleam's powerful strike fails to connect by a hair. Osten's is accurate, but he feels the blow rebounding up his arms as if he'd struck stone, and not a scrawny reptile's flesh. Navoreal's sword strikes both accurately AND hard-- enough that he feels it getting past those very stony scales.
Rogzul still up for this round
Kaye Ginzel

Huh, I did read the bomb damage wrong, there is no save on a direct hit. Thanks for telling me.
Rogzul the Whisperer
|
Looks like my post got eaten!
Rogzul, now a little healthier stands up and begins hustling toward the stage, currently too far to assist anyone but Orin.
Stand up from prone and move action.

Teeth bared, the kobold eyes Navoreal and his order with a little gleam in one milky, aged eye. He moves around Navoreal, trying to keep the elf between himself and the burlier other Pathfinders. "Manling, you do not understand the value of a good performance," he rasps, before his hands sketch a shape in air.
Concentration: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
Vs Navoreal's Touch AC: 1d20 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 1 + 3 = 19
He reaches out and grabs Navoreal's hand near the hilt of his sword, and Navoreal finds the experience shocking.
Shocking Grasp damage to Navoreal: 5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 5, 5) = 18
Round 4 - bold may post
Kibizax (-18)
Osten (-19)
Kaye (-1 hp)
Rogzul (-11 hp)
Navoreal (-18)
Gleam (-19)
Orin (-1)

The kobold doesn't bother to take a swipe with his claws at Gleam, and the massive warrior's big falcata hits like a guillotine swipe. The blow is blunted by some protective magic, but lot of pain still goes through. The kobold weaves on his feet, his eyes gleaming...
Rest of party still up!
Kaye Ginzel

Kaye moves onto the stage and points his finger accusingly. "You are in no position to bargain! Your dragon has left you, and my friends are ready to beat you to a pulp. It's best you surrender now so you may live to rule another day! Otherwise we may have a succession crisis at hand!"
Intimidate: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Unlikely to have changed the chief's opinion, Kaye gets his short spear ready...
Orin Arkhein

Orin moves up closer to the stage. double move
Osten Grimhelm
|
Wide-eyed, the barbarian stares at his trusted weapon and spews a shout before moving along side Navoreal and swinging again.

Navoreal's slice hacks into flesh, and the kobold gurgles and drops... and something unusual happens. Kibizax's body begins to convulse with blue, electric sparks.
Lightning bolts strike from the stage ceiling, over and over, into Kibizax's corpse! The electric energy builds and erupts into the shape of an azure dragon, swelling larger than even Gleam, obscuring the body of Kibizax.... . The sounds of the kobolds on the balcony above drift into stunned, respectful silence as the dragon formed of pure electricity roars and takes to the air above the Pathfinders on stage.
A familiar, blue-cloaked kobold emerges from stage doors to the north-- Yiddlepode, as you saw her at the theatre. She points up at the hovering dragon.
"BEHOLD! MIGHTY LIROVELIX! MY FATHER KIBIZAX HAS ASSUMED HIS TRUE FORM AS AN AVATAR OF LIROVELIX, AND SHALL GUIDE US ON IN THE FUTURE THROUGH HIS VICTORY OVER THESE PATHFINDERS! Now, outsiders, surrender to the power of the Sewer Dragons, and we shall then treat you generously, as worthy foes who at last saw sense!" Yiddlepode intones, looking at the Pathfinders intently and clearing her throat.
"Well? What do you say, outsiders?"

"Wh-wh-what?" Kaye stammers. "The dragon is real...no way can we compete!"
How can this be? I've run through multiple calculations...this was most improbable!
"I don't know about you, fellow Pathfinders, but we won't last long against this dragon. Perhaps we can listen to reason for once."

Orin stops where he is and stares at the new dragon with Yiddlepode's voice. Well that doesn't make sense... must be another illusion, but this time hers, not her father's. Maybe we should just go along with it? Kaye seems to think so.

Under a hush voice..
"What are you talking about Kaye? It is clearly Yiddlepode's doing although I'm not sure why."
Nav stands at the ready, his sword not lowered.
With neither check made im not sure why Kaye is going along is what I was getting at..

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Rogzul runs down the stretch of hallway leading to the stage, as he nears the the theatrical display of "Lirovelix" does not escape his notice but he sees Yiddlepode winking and reads the goblins body language.
"Yes! We surrender!" He grunts, taking a knee. "You are clearly too powerful! Everyone surrender!" The Orc's acting isn't great but apparently it doesn't have to be to convince Kobolds.
Kaye Ginzel
|
"Uh, oh. Yes, we surrender under your might, oh great dragon?" Kaye is all too ready to falls to his knees and grovel.
| GM Dien |
Haha, thank gosh Rogzul made it. On the nose...
The kobolds cheer wildly, and Yiddlepode bows to the balcony full of 'audience.' Those of you standing adjacent to the chief's dead body notice a trap door popping open in the stage, and the chief's body drops through it, seconds before the dragon of lightning flies up into the rafters and disappears....
Yiddlepode says, "Very well, we will adjourn to my new lair as chief to negotiate your surrender...."
Hurriedly, the kobold beckons you into the back-stage.
"--I'm so sorry about that!" she says at normal volume, fanning her reptilian face. "Of course you haven't actually surrendered, ahahahaha. But it was how my father wanted to go out. Thank you for playing along. With Tok... out of the picture...." Yiddlepode smiles slightly, "...and Kibizax gone to an honorable death that will live on in the memory of the tribe... I am now in the position to actually conduct the business with you that wanted."
The kobold smiles, clicking her little clawed hands together. "So. Business. The Sewer Dragons need access to things that you would consider mundane-- surface foodstuffs, tools, raw materials like cloth and lumber... And I trust your Society has a use for a tribe of clever, sneaky people such as us, who know the sewers like the back of our hands. I'm sure we can come to an agreement we'll all find agreeable...?"
(The scenario is effectively complete, though feel free to roleplay out any followup you might wish. I'll try and get Chronicle sheets out tonight but it might be tomorrow.)
Gleam
|
Gleam scratches his head as sweat drips from the inside of his armor "Gleam not really understand why surrendering means winning, but Gleam will take it."
Kaye Ginzel
|
"Ah, pride. The downfall of many." Kaye shakes his head. "Normally I'd apologize about killing your brother and father, but you seem alright with it."
The dull feeling on the back Kaye's mind weighs down. "I wish I had an hour or so to wear things off, but it's best we make this deal and then leave. You can say we were expelled by your great dragon."
Orin Arkhein
|
"Yiddlepode, I wish you well in your new role among your people... You obviously have the smarts to lead them well, and their support too. May your reign know nothing but success!"
| GM Dien |
Yiddlepode nods. "Oh yes. I want the Society on my side." The little kobold smiles-- it seems that as far as she's concerned, everything went off just fine... even the death of her sibling.
"To a profitable business arrangment, yes? The Sewer Dragons and the Society, we will be best friends."
And thus concludes this adventure! If you haven't yet, you might consider playing True Dragons of Absalom as a loose sequel to this adventure-- you get to play kobolds of the Sewer Dragons tribe, taking place somewhat after this adventure. Hope you all had fun, glad nobody died.
