Kaye Ginzel |
Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Kaye snorts and runs up the stairs before throwing another bomb at Tok.
Ranged Touch, Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 26
Electric Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + (1) + 3 + 1 = 11
Miss Direction: 1d8 ⇒ 2
Kaye's Reflex Save if he missed and blew himself up: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
If that hit, Reflex Save DC 14 for half damage. If it missed, the bomb deals 5 damage. Thanks to his Precise Bombs discovery, Kaye can exclude 3 squares (like his own square) from the blast. The extra d6 damage is not multiplied on a crit.
Shock Bombs: If the target fails the save, they are dazzled for 1d4 rounds.
Dazzled Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Rogzul the Whisperer |
Rogzul rushes up the stairs where Navoreal and Kaye are fighting the trapmaker to offer any assistance if he can.
Double move.
Gleam |
"Ow." Gleam deadpans, more out of expected commentary than real pain. His sweating does seem to intensify though.
Gleam than pulls out another chakram and steps forward as he throws it up again ignoring the nearby crossbow wielding kobold.
thrown chakram: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
comfirm?: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
extra crit damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
Orin Arkhein |
reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10 6 pts it is
"Quit it. That hurts" Orin says in a flat, unimpressed voice with a slight tinge of sarcasm.
He readies to shoot Tok if he moves to a non-threatened square...
GM Dien |
Tok is not currently threatened, Orin-- he's 15 feet up on the wall. So your current readied condition is currently in effect if you just wish to shoot at him?
Orin Arkhein |
sorry, didn't realize that
to hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
dmg if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 1
swing and a miss! lol
GM Dien |
Osten tears after the blue-skinned kobold, but the fates unfairly continue to deny him his vengeance...
Kaye continues his accurate bombardment of the enemy alchemist (Tok's reflex save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31, not re-dazzled), while Rogzul hurries to assist with positioning. Gleam hurls a very accurate chakram, though it doesn't strike a vital spot on the golden-skinned Tok. Orin discovers that aiming a crossbow after he just got blasted with fire is painful, and his bolt goes wide... as wide as Navoreal's arrow.
The blue-hide kobold backs away from Osten with huge eyes, slots a crossbow bolt, and twangs it at the big man from just a few feet away.
Vs Osten: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 6 + 2 = 28
Confirm?: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 6 + 2 = 23
Apparently, that little kobold really did want to make that one hit.
Critical damage to Osten: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (3, 2) + 4 = 9
Tok surveys the battlefield, seeing that his topsider foes are spreading out and no longer bunching up. He bares his teeth at Kaye, seeing the rival alchemist's bombs as the biggest threat. He spider-crawls along the wall, maintaining his altitude, and chucks an icy bomb at Kaye.
vs Kaye, dazzled: 1d20 + 11 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 11 - 1 = 21
Damage: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3, 2) + 3 = 13
Pathfinder down! As ice erupts around him, Kaye drops at the top of the stairs... Tok chuckles. "I win your challenge, human."
End Round 4/Start 5 - bold may act
Navoreal
Rogzul
Orin -6 damage
Osten -23 damage
Blue -3 damage
Tok -43 damage has been dealt... you think.
Kaye -29 (unconscious, dying)
Gleam -14 damage
Bless is on the party
Kaye Ginzel |
Stabilization: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Kaye tries to think of something witty to say, but the pain overwhelms him. "Don't read my Secrets to sales! Internal Use Only..."
Orin Arkhein |
don't see Kaye on the map to go heal him.. so can't tell if i can get to him or not... if Orin can get to him, he will and use his wand of cure light on him...
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
if he can't get to him in one round and use wand, he'll move to within 30' and cast stabilize on Kaye instead
Navoreal Starseeker |
Just a question GM, but would Tok have to make an Acro check to move out of the grease? Making the initial save doesn't make you immune to the movement clause.
Nav knocks another arrow and tries again.
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 but just can't seem to get right..
Kaye Ginzel |
Orin, I'm on the top of the right hand stairs on the second floor. This room is so high the map was split into two parts, check the right side.
Orin Arkhein |
still don't see you- there's an empty red circle at the top of the stairs on the right, is that you? anyway = I guess it's stabilize for now then and get to you in 2 rounds to do a cure.. orin only moves at 20
GM Dien |
Navoreal - he can't fail the DC 10 Acro check. Orin: the map may be being weird for you, but the red circle is indeed where Kaye is.
Gleam |
Gleam draws another chakram I've got 10 of these spends a moment to aim and tosses it up at the climbing kobold.
chakram remembering bless this time: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Osten Grimhelm |
I seemed to have forgotten that I have the Step Up feat. So, as he steps back I would slide up and his shot would provoke an AoO?
The barbarian repositions as if in synch with the crossbow wielding kobold. His swing is wild, exposing himself, resulting in a bolt buried deep into his side.
AoO?!: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 1 = 17 for Damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
However, the backswing finally results in some of Osten's frustration finally being vented on the kobold.
Enough!: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 8 + 1 = 25 for Your turn to bleed!: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Rogzul the Whisperer |
Rogzul rushes toward Kaye, drawing his wand as he does which he touches to the alchemist and heals him.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
"You will not fall to this lizard." He grunts angrily.
GM Dien |
Orin hurries to reach Kaye's prone form at the top of the stairs, and Navoreal looses an arrow that misses the well-prepared Tok. Gleam's chakram follows, but unfortunately has no better luck.
Fed up with his diminutive harasser, Osten takes a deft following step-- swings-- misses-- but then his backswing catches the blue kobold powerfully. Not quite powerfully enough to drop it... but powerfully.
Rogzul quickly hurries to aid the unconscious Kaye as well.
The blue kobold looks grievously injured and decides that standing toe-to-toe with the big human is going to end poorly for him. He turns and flees, dodging and twisting away from Osten towards the double doors at the far end of the shop.
Vs Osten's CMD: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Lol, No. AOO for you, Osten. I moved the blue kobold to where he'll be if he survives your AOO, but he may not. If he does, he runs to the door and opens it.
Tok studies his remaining foes with a toothy grin, and decides to hurl a bomb at the elf with the bow drawn, clearly contemptuous of Gleam beneath him. Perhaps it will be his mistake. Tok is clearly injured, but not so badly he's surrendering, it seems.
Vs Navoreal's touch, range penalty: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 11 - 2 = 23
Cold damage to Navoreal: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 4, 6) + 3 = 16 And fortitude save vs staggered
End Round 5/Start 6 - bold may act
Navoreal -16 damage, fort save DC 16 vs staggered
Rogzul
Orin -6 damage
Osten -23 damage, gets an AOO on Blue
Blue -17 damage
Tok -43 damage has been dealt... you think.
Kaye -26 (unconscious)
Gleam -14 damage
Bless is on the party
Kaye Ginzel |
Kaye dreams of his successful business empire smashing through the competition!
Osten Grimhelm |
AoO: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 1 = 14 for Damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
The barbarians rage leads to another wild strike. Seeing the open door, Osten races thorough to get in front of the kobold. "You and I ain't done yet, not be half!"
Gleam |
Gleam shouts up "Hey you!"
as he tosses another chakram.
the toss: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
the damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Orin Arkhein |
Orin double moves toward Kaye... damn that Oread speed.... almost there! lol
Rogzul the Whisperer |
"Help up here!" Rogzul shouts wondering when the rest of the party is going to get there.
CLW on Kaye: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 You're right Navoreal.
Kaye Ginzel |
We're fighting a very high AC enemy with lots of splash damage. I think I'm your best bet to counter him, but I'm gonna need more hit points!
GM Dien |
Kaye ain't wrong about his assessment of the enemy.
Tok merely sneers at Navoreal and Gleam's ranged attacks, the kobold's tail twitching. Osten has better luck with his foe-- he cuts down the kobold before it can actually complete its fleeing.
Rogzul brings Kaye just conscious, but the human flutters on the verge between awake and not, feeling each one of his burns. Orin tries to hurry to assist. Orin, I moved you onto the right hand map since I'm pretty sure that's where you mean to be-- that's the second story, where Kaye is
"Tshhh, sstay away from him! I beat him! I won! Hisss knowledge is mine!" Tok screeches at Rogzul crouching to help the unconscious Kaye, and Orin running to help as well. He throws another of the bombs you're all getting thoroughly sick of towards Orin-- perhaps he fears that further fire might destroy Kaye's alchemical papers.
Vs Orin's touch, range penalty: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (15) + 11 - 2 = 24 It doesn't help y'all that I'm rolling pretty well. :(
Fire damage to Orin: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 5, 4) + 3 = 13
A painful blast of fire washes over Orin, catching Rogzul in the periphery. Reflex save from Rogzul, DC 16, 6 damage if failed, 3 damage if save
End Round 6/Start 7 - bold may act
Navoreal -16 damage
Rogzul -3/-6, Reflex DC 16
Orin -19 damage
Osten -23 damage
Blue
Tok -43 damage has been dealt... you think.
Kaye -24 (at 0 hp, prone)
Gleam -14 damage
Bless is on the party
Kaye Ginzel |
Kaye, now conscious yet in massive pain, remains prone and grabs his Wand of Cure Light Wounds. "No point in me standing up yet- that makes me a juicier target!"
I'll remain prone so I get the AC bonus against ranged attacks.
Osten Grimhelm |
Osten races back to the party, throwing a chakrum as he gets into range.
Enough is Enough: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 = 18 for Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Gleam |
Gleam says "I think you run out before I do."
Gleam then draws another Chakram at the wall climbing kobold.
the toss: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
the damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14
Rogzul the Whisperer |
Reflex: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
CLW on Kaye: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
"Stop talking." Rogzul grunts quietly as he finally gets a worthy heal out of his wand, taking the brunt of the damage as he stays in place and focuses on Kaye.
Orin Arkhein |
Orin grumbles and heals himself on the way to Kaye...
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
GM Dien |
Gleam's chakram buries itself in the wall next to Tok a few inches away ya, rly, but it was a very near thing. Navoreal's arrow and Osten's chakram fare no better. Rogzul strategically heals Kaye, while Orin works to stay alive himself.
Tok sneers down at Gleam. "Doesssn't matter if you can't hit me! My magicsss are ssstrong!"
That said, you do notice the kobold looks briefly worried as he snatches one of his very diminished supply of explosive vials. He bares his teeth at Kaye. "I BEAT YOU! YOU SSSURRENDER NOW! Tell your clan to ssstop! I win!"
Ranged attack vs Kaye's touch (+4 AC for prone), range penalty: 1d20 + 11 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 11 - 2 = 16
Miss direction, one range penalty: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Kaye's decision to remain prone turns out to be extraordinarily wise... the bomb misses a dead hit on him, bouncing off to land and hit a bookshelf on the back wall, catching only Rogzul in its flames. Tok screeches in fury. Reflex save for Rogzul, DC 16 for 3/6 damage
End Round 7/Start 8 - bold may act
Navoreal -16 damage
Rogzul -6 (existing), -3/-6 more depending on Reflex DC 16
Orin -14 damage
Osten -23 damage
Tok -43 damage has been dealt... you think.
Kaye -16 (prone)
Gleam -14 damage
Bless is on the party
Orin Arkhein |
Orin makes his way to Kaye finally and casts cure light on him.
clw: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
"Now get that little bastard, Kaye."
Kaye Ginzel |
Kaye stands up and prepares another alchemical bomb. "While it does hurt me to change the rules like this, the Pathfinder Society overrides my personal needs."
Ranged Touch, Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23
Electric Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (4) + (5) + 3 + 1 = 13
Miss Direction: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Kaye's Reflex Save if he missed and blew himself up: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
If that hit, Reflex Save DC 14 for half damage. If it missed, the bomb deals 5 damage. Thanks to his Precise Bombs discovery, Kaye can exclude 3 squares (like his own square) from the blast. The extra d6 damage is not multiplied on a crit.
Shock Bombs: If the target fails the save, they are dazzled for 1d4 rounds.
Dazzled Duration: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Kaye's electric bomb hits Tok square in the face. "Besides, you attacked us despite our request to parley. Perhaps YOU should stand down so we may discuss this further."
Navoreal Starseeker |
Im confused as to why you keep using electricity bombs when the GM told you 4 bombs ago he was resistant to it..
Navoreal slings another arrow at the alchemist in hopes of being accurate..
Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 but apparently his lack of use with the weapon has obviously affected his aim.
Rogzul the Whisperer |
Rogzul rolls his eyes as Orin arrives and takes credit for healing Kaye.
Now that the alchemist is up, the shaman moves forward and fires another gout of glames from his hands.
Burning Hands: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 4) = 9
DC 15 Reflex for half
GM Dien |
Navoreal misses with an arrow! Orin provides healing... Rogzul provides flaaaames.
Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
The kobold is only lightly singed from Rogzul's spell... but Kaye follows it a second later with one more well-thrown bomb. Reflex: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
The fires and the lightnings seem to be finally wearing on the gold-skinned kobold... though, impressively, he is still standing. (Well, clinging. To the wall.)
Osten and Gleam still up for this round, you think you've dealt 60 points of damage to Tok. And actually, Kaye's electricity seems to be going through fine on all bombs but the first one!
Orin Arkhein |
Orin turns to fire a crossbow bolt at the wall crawler.
to hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
dmg if hits: 1d8 ⇒ 1
Gleam |
another fancy spinny thing: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Gleam's sweaty fingers fail to get a good grip on the chakram for a nice spin.
GM Dien |
Orin, you already went in that round, but the crossbow bolt would have missed anyway.
Tok seems badly wounded now. He snarls at Kaye, "You cheated... Jussst what I exsspect from topsssidersss..." He snatches an extract from his belt and quickly downs it.
Glug glug: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (5, 1) + 6 = 12
A few of his wounds heal. That done, the kobold all but slithers down the wall, making sure to space his descent outside of Gleam's reach, though he can't entirely help passing Osten as he vaults the stairwell next to him and returns to the ground level. The golden kobold flips nimbly through the air, trying to avoid the big man's weapons... on his way to the door to the north.
Acrobatics vs Osten's CMD: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13 *fail buzzer noise
It's not enough to bypass the warrior. AOO from Osten. Also, Rogzul didn't roll his save for last round so I'll do it to keep us moving:Rogzul Reflex, DC 16: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9 (fail). Party's up.
End Round 8/Start 9 - bold may act
Navoreal -16 damage
Rogzul -12
Orin -14 damage
Osten -23 damage, may make an AOO
Tok -48 damage has been dealt... you think.
Kaye -16
Gleam -14 damage
Bless is on the party; note that Tok is now on ground level so people on the second story don't have line of sight to him unless they move.
Kaye Ginzel |
"Many thanks, everyone. We've got him on the run now."
Kaye pulls out his own wand and uses it.
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
"Now now, it can't be a proper duel if you're already crawling on the walls and I'm fumbling for my mutagen."
Osten Grimhelm |
AoO: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 8 + 1 = 28 for potion nullification damage: 1d12 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
The barbarian catches the alchemist's hip with his ax as he runs by. Osten pursues the kobold, but instead of taking another swipe, he positions himself in front of the fleeing troublemaker.
"Sorry, but we're not ready for daddy to know he's got company just yet!"
Gleam |
Gleam grunts and concentrates.
casting enlarge person as an SLA from giantslayer chronicle, will resolve at beginning of next turn.
Orin Arkhein |
Orin runs downstairs.... "Hold it right there, Lizard Lips!"
