Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Unable to see the map again so just move me up to attack the snake please.. If possible she will go for a flank..
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 +2 if flanking
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

GM Void Dragon |

After Gloradir fires off his acid dart the snake once again tries to bite Nau.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d4 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
But the snake is too scared of the acid that just went over its head to follow through with its strike.
Damage to snake so far 2

GM Void Dragon |

Nau could 5 ft. step on his turn, but the others who couldn't get to the snake on their turns could hold their actions, and go after Nau does.

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Oh dam i didnt even realize i couldnt get to it.. She would have acid rayed it first round and this round..
Acid Splash into Melee: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 3
Acid Splash into Melee: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2
Looks like the first one hit for 3 acid damage..

Thorst Worten |

Looks like the crossbow didnt hit it on a 17 so that 12 is definately a miss. I can double move to it if you guys want but that cuts off everyone else?

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

He listed its Touch AC at 11, Acid splash is a ranged touch attack.. I have +4 to ranged touch attacks.. -4 due to firing into melee, so what the die rolls is what i hit.. It rolled a 12 which hits its ranged touch ac for 3 acid damage.. The 17 missed because it was fired into melee so its actually a 13, which misses its 14 ac.. As far as moving to it your our heavy hitter atm, probably best you lead lol..

Halara |

Halara waits for the right moment and then looses a bolt at the creature.
[dice=Light Crossbow]1d20+3-4! [dice=Damage]1d8
I did substracted the -4 from the melee penalty. It would not hit if there was cover, which I don't think it's the case seeing my position.

GM Void Dragon |

Round recap
After Golradir missed the snake with an acid dart the creature lunged out at Nau, but missed him due to recoiling from the acid. Seeing an opening Halara hit the creature with a crossbow bolt. Valkyrie continuing to attack it hit the creature with a small orb of acid, and Nau stepped away from the creature.
Damage done to creature so far 7.
@Thorst are you just holding currently?
Round 2
AC 14, Touch 11, Flat-Footed 13
Golradir; Snake; Halara; Valkyrie; Horgus; Nau; Thorst; Avarshinal; Anevia

Nau Invishi |

Nau will take another 5' step to be behind the snake and thus provide flanking for someone directly in front of it.
Again his foot flashes down at the snake whose fangs had already stung his heel.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
damage: 1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Thorst Worten |

Dangit thought I had posted. In round 1 I wanted to get as close as I could. Then perhaps round two get closer and attack.
Thorst stops when the commotion ahead mentions a snake. Not knowing how big the snake was he drew his falchion and moved towards it.

Golradir Elanessë |

Golradir curses under his breath and looks back at the wizard behind him, "Just a miscalculation that is all, nothing to worry yet. May your mind be at ease." He follows his statement by clasping his hand together and chanting again. His motions fluid and the incantations precise. He let loose another acidic dart.
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 4 = 2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
He cursed under his breath.

Thorst Worten |

On his next turn...
Thorst swings at the head of the snake.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 2d4 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7

GM Void Dragon |

The snake lunges out at Nau for a final strike.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage: 1d4 - 2 ⇒ (1) - 2 = -1
The snake misses Nau due to his superior training, and reflexes.

GM Void Dragon |

After Nau's strike the snake curls up and dies.
Was just waiting to see who exactly would take the thing down.
As Nau goes even further into the passageway he can see that it is going to be a very long trip of walking.

Thorst Worten |

Thorst sheaths his sword and walks back to Anevia, carrying her once again, explaining all the fuss was over a measly snake. "No one has been hurt."

Golradir Elanessë |

Golradir grasps the hand resting on his shoulder and leads the man trailing him through the small craggy passage up to where the pious Nau resided. His robe caught onto the rocks jutting out from the side of the wall. Initially he worried profusely about the state of his robes, but soon after he quickly came to realize that the predicament that they were in was hardly the time to worry about such things.
He looked to Nau on his left. "Do you suppose that these caverns were here from before? Old underwater lakes. Do you think that they could also be tunnels either newly created or forgotten by time?"

Nau Invishi |

"I know little of geology or stone-cutting, but I would hazard that it might be a little of both. Cities are built on the bones of previous instantiations of that or former cities. The closer to the surface we get the more man-made construction we are like to see. But these seems like uncut earth. I believe that we are here for a purpose. How great are the chances that such tunnels would be below us when disaster struck? In this, I hear the footsteps of the gods."

Thorst Worten |

"Hmmph. Gods are not so all powerful. They leave our own choices to us. Perhaps the Dragon knew of these caves and tunnels, and hoped we would be able to escape." Thorst speaks from behind. Though he is a devoted worshipper, he has his own opinions about some things.

Golradir Elanessë |

"It's their knowledge that is one of the things that create power in a god. Being omniscient has it's benefits. There is also a good chance that the Lady knew of the tunnels as well and the gods are yet only spectating?"
He tugs at a stray thread frayed from his cloak.
"Only speculation at all, and it's not as though I speak from experience. My knowledge has come mainly from studies."
Having dealt with the unruly silk thread he raised his gaze back to the corridor in front of them. Politly layed his hand out in a low bow.
"After you sir's"

Nau Invishi |

"I agree, sir Thorst: the gods leave us our choices. Yet, it is also my belief that they prepare the ground upon which we walk. They provide opportunities for us to make choices, " Nau observes in is oddly accented voice.
The young priest continues to walk deeper into the tunnels lighting their way.

Halara |

Halara shakes her head. She realizes that at the moment there is only one thing they have to worry about.
"The only think I'm sure is that we need to get out of here. Gods, demons, spirits or just fate. A lot of forces could be involved in such a devastating attack into Kenabres. I think the Demon, the Balor, opened the pit for us to fall in and get killed, but as much as I could see the Dragon saved us from the fall. Most of us came unharmed, at least." She looks at Anevia, wondering for a moment. "Weren't you affected by that spell?"

Halara |

Halara gets suspicious about this woman. An idea is taking roots in her mind.
"Wait, you mean there were others falling into the darkness? There were no bodies back there, right?"
SM to check what is wrong with this woman: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Anevia Tirabade NPC |

Anevia shrugs.
"I don't know if any other fell near us or not. I just remember falling for a long time. Maybe they hit something before they reached the bottom. I know I nicked myself before finally reaching the bottom. Before my leg got crushed that is."
She seems to believe what she's saying.

Valkyrie Stormseeker |

Val stays silent as the talk of gods and what not goes around..
As Nau leads the party she will stop him.. "Perhaps its wise to let me scout ahead.. I can see in darkness and am decently quite.." Without waiting for a response she stalks off..
Stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Perc: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

GM Void Dragon |

It takes about 25 minutes of travel before anything changes. The walk is long and quiet with almost no sound whatsoever. Then you can see that the path diverges. One path leads to the right, and the other goes to the left.
EDIT: Sorry re-read encounter table, and I may have been a bit hasty on how quickly you have a chance to encounter something so if you read this post when it had the perception DC ignore that.
@Nau the left tunnel seems to be humid.

Halara |

Halara looks confused. She takes a quick look at both ways before addressing the ones leading.
"I would say we need to go up, but none of them seem to be doing that, and who knows if there is really a way out of here... You can choose anyone, I believe."

GM Void Dragon |

Alright I think I have this map correctly proportioned, but tell me if it's off.
After traveling for another 10 minutes you can see a single sizable 20 foot-tall building in the center of this 30-foot-high cave, a bunkerlike structure with no windows and walls of worked stone blocks. A 10-foot-long carving of a hammer decorates the building’s facade. The ruins of collapsed outbuildings stand to either side.

Thorst Worten |

"It may be inhabited, careful." Thorst moves to the cave wall and helps Anevia rest on her good leg, "Rest here, I'm going to search for tracks." Thorst looks around to see if there are any recent tracks leading to the building.
Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Golradir Elanessë |

Golradir leads his blind friend to the wall next to Anevia, to rest for a second. "Take a rest for a second next to Anevia. We have found a curious building of sorts."
Looking back up at the remainder of the group, "Interesting, could this be the remainder of a forgotten time? Possibly a forgotten temple of sorts? So many questions and only one solution, to look inside"
He mind raced with possibilities of what could be inside this structure.
"Best to be careful for sure, but also make sure not to disturb anything unless necessary."

GM Void Dragon |

As Nau approaches the building he can see that there is a door to the side of the building. It is a thick stone door that has seen better days. It appears set into the doorway, and would require some strength to move out of its original place.
Door will need a DC 13 strength check to move it.

GM Void Dragon |

As Halara walks around the building she cannot see much in the way of windows.
The building gives off a residual amount of magic, but now it just seems to be fading away.
