Hi everybody! I'm Andrew. I've gamed with some of you before, some I haven't yet had the pleasure. I'm looking forward to running your adventure!
We'll be starting as soon as folks are ready. Upkeep business:
1. If you haven't done so already, please put a few of your stats into your character subheading. Please include current/total hit points, armor class (all three), saving throw modifiers, initiative modifier, and perception modifier. Feel free to add other stuff, such as per diem spells or channels or other resources.
2. On your character's page, please include a stat block or link or some other arrangement so that I can find your character's stats in some fashion. Stat block is easiest for me but if you have a preferred arrangement, that's fine too.
3. Feel free to introduce yourselves and your characters in-character in the gameplay thread.
4. Help Gilthanis pick a character! (See above.)
Secondly, a few basic expectations (which I think everyone's familiar with anyway):
1. A quick-moving thread is more fun for everyone! Please try to post at least once per day, and the more the merrier. Take your time and roleplay your hearts out, but do post regularly and keep the game moving. I'll make sure to do the same. If you know you'll be unable to post for a while, please let us all know here and consider giving march orders to the party (especially if we're in combat) and know that the game will likely still keep moving.
2. I've gotten pretty familiar with the PFS/Pathfinder rules over the years, but obviously I haven't dealt regularly with every class or situation. So if you are concerned that I've messed up somewhere in a way that really impacts gameplay (which is entirely possible), please feel free to raise the issue in the Discussion thread or privately and I'll do my best to correct the issue. It's all about learning!
3. Please pay attention to text formatting and the thread tabs. Use Gameplay for gameplay and Discussion for non-gameplay discussion. Use the [b] tag and quotes for in-character speech and the [ooc] tag for out-of-character commentary. Use spoiler tags when necessary and open them
4. In combat, please add Round 1 or Round 2, etc., at the top of your post. That will make things much easier for me. Feel free to post if it is not yet your turn if (and only if) you are reasonably certain that your action will not impact others earlier in the initiative order.
5. Have fun and be the awesome Pathfinders you are!

Great, thanks!

Hey everybody:
The 3rd Play-by-Post Gameday has been announced. For those who haven't participated in previous ones, this is like a convention, except PbP. Basically that means that there's an opportunity for special convention boons, etc., during the session. You can read about the previous PbP Gameday 2 here.
I'm running two series as part of the Gameday, and any of you are welcome to sign up for one or both HERE. Both games will start October 5th and will be quick paced, so be prepared to post at least once per day and go the whole way.

GMTrex |

Sorry Trex, I'm tapped out. I'ave played both.
No worries, I figured that was the case. Let me know if you run one though!
where was PBP Gameday 3 announced?
Here. It's not up on the site yet, but I don't see any reason to suspect that the dates will change.

Gilthanis |

Okay, I have played devil I, but not II-VI, so is it possible I play I for no credit, but II-VI for credit? If you would prefer to keep everyone "fro credit" I understand.
I signed up for the "Strangers" series, so if I get into that game I will be happy to bow out of the "Devil" series to allow other the opportunity to play all the way for credit :)

GMTrex |

That'd probably be fine. Just throw your name on and we'll figure it out once we get closer.

GMTrex |

FYI: in the last 48 hours PbP Gameday has gone from "will definitely be October 5th and the announcement will be made within hours" to "we've decided to delay by a month and a survey will be announced Monday." My games for Gameday are still on but will start in November accordingly.

Is there anything i should look into or know concerning faction missions?
-Posted with Wayfinder

GMTrex |

Sort of. Beginning with Season 5, faction missions for each scenario went away and instead there are specific scenarios that advance the plot and/or are related to the goals of each individual factions. In this particular scenario, there is something of interest for the Silver Crusade faction.
You can read up on the various factions' goals for Season 6 here.

Once again: many thanks, Trex!

Can I attack the back row of baddies through the front with my Lance?

Yes, but they have cover from you (+4 to AC).

Roger that. Thanks!

Hey guys, just a heads up.
1. I have an away meet tomorrow after school, so I'll be out of posting.
2. This weekend I'm running 3 legs in a 208 mile relay race. That's correct, it's not a typo. 208 miles. My team of 12 will be running from Cannon mountain to Hampton Beach. We run through the night, nonstop. Needless to say, I'm going to be busy and tired until Sunday. So I'll be out of posting.
2b. My team is running for Alzheimer's research. I always say, it's not awareness and hopes that cure disease, it's scientists doing research. So, if you're so inclined, my fundraising page is here.
3. If I need to post, I hereby appoint Riegel as my PCbot. (I'll email you my sheets.

GMTrex |

You have three legs?!? How do you run? =)
Good luck in the races, thanks for the heads up. Do you want me to do the botting though, since Riegel isn't here?

That's awesome, Zosimos! Good luck and run hard!

Thank you
Ran 9 miles for my first leg. Not bad just about 8:45 minute miles the whole way. Pretty run through the white mountains, but heavy on the hills.
Its dark now. Not sure where I am, but this leg is just shy of 4 miles. Its cold and in the dark. I have no idea what pace to set. My last run is actually 10k even in the morning.

Off! Off these forums I say! Get thee back to running!
(Sounds like you guys are doing pretty well so far. Good luck with the rest!)

Hi everybody,
A heads up: I have just accepted a new position that will have me working an estimated 12 hours a day, seven days a week, for the next two months. My posting frequency is definitely going to drop but I'm gonna do my very, very best to make sure I am posting at least once per day. However, I will be traveling to my new location Monday through Wednesday and may be entirely unable to post during that time. (I'll try, but I can't make promises.)
Hopefully this won't slow the game down terribly; I apologize in advance if it does.
Cheers,
Andrew/GMTrex
PS: Congrats to Zosimos on finishing Reach the Beach!

I'm reasonably certain working 84 hours per week is not okay....
Thank you. I finished my legs yesterday having run 18 miles averaging 8:45ish. It sucked hardcore. 3 hours of sleep and 208 miles between us. No real meals, bed, or showers.
I'm already signed up for next year.

Well done, well done!
(Eh, it's a short term gig. And I signed up for it.)

GMTrex |

Yep, sorry. Worked over 30 hours this weekend and did not have time to post.

GMTrex |

And as for rule #3, you already pulled it! And it did what you wanted!

Hail! I'll be running a game for PbP Game Day #3. Fingerprints of the Fiend.. It's Tier 7-11 with subtier TBD. First come, first served.

I'm too much of a baby-got no characters up there yet. Thanks for the invite though, Zos!

I am happy to keep things moving, but I am not sure what to do. Please be advised that I am signed up to run this scenario on November 8th at Carnage on the Mountain. I am hoping we will be done before then so I can read up and prepare for the scenario.
Speaking of Carnage on the Mountain, are any of you fine Pathfinders coming up to Vermont's Premier Pathfinder Weekend on November 7 - 9 in Killington? I will be up there with a few others and I am happy to offer floor space in my hotel room.
