Born to a Cleric father, Lord Pethorn was destined to follow in his footsteps. That was until his father was murdered in a skirmish with Goblins right in front of Pethorn's eyes (and in front of the whole village). As an Aristocrat, the young man had training with swords. He picked up his father's and went toe-to-toe with the Goblin hordes. In that moment Lord Pethorn Shieldheart became a Samurai.
He joined the Order of the Blue Rose, whose Samurai promote peace throughout the lands (something Pethorn dearly wished could be brought to him). A female one, Epona, stole his heart. They married soon after meeting.
She was murdered by a group of bandits. He vowed revenge and it came by his blade. Now Pethorn's dreams are haunted by the memories of her and his father.
To focus on something else he wishes the ranks of the Pathfinders.
Now he serves the people, not just his own ambitions, as evil foes fall before his terrible might.
