Dot...If we have the time, I would like to buy a few things before we head out.

![]() |

Would it be possible to hold off on starting until tomorrow night? My local lodge is running a scenario I'm unlikely to get Grym into again (I played the second two thirds of Destiny of the Sands with a now-dead character).
Also, dot.

Here are the things I would like to buy before beginning the next scenario.
(MW) Repeating light crossbow -550gp
(Cold iron) Repeating crossbow bolts x50 -20gp
(Silver) Weapon blanch x2 -10gp
Beginning gold 1,512gp
Ending gold 932gp

Are we looking to add anyone else, or are we ready to head out with four?

With my sincere apologies for the delay ... I missed the link for this adventure for some reason. Ready to go ...

Sorry for the extended absence; I needed longer to grade a stack of papers than I expected.
Grym sold his original short sword and purchased a mithral blade on the last Chronicle.

Not sure if you saw my post or not.
GM ShadowLord wrote:I didn't forget about it. Does a 13 touch attack hit? I don't think he has cover from me. If I pick my best corner I can draw a line to all 4 of his corners without going through a square. I don't believe a line going along a square is considered passing through a square.
Don't forget about the cover bonus too Nym.

Yep ... best I could do right now though.

It hit, I had posted that in my response to you.
Quote:Nym's attack lands on the armored man this time, freezing him. Apparently the tongue direction matters.
I was referring to the attack before that one that rolled a 13 touch for 6 dmg. The 13 included a -4 for the target engaged with an enemy and I didn't think he had cover.
I am not overly concerned about the damage, I just want to make sure I understand the rule for cover and drawing lines, as it will probably come up again.

Thats why I am asking if he has cover, I don't think he does. It says for range I draw lines from my best corner to all of his corners which I can if I use my sw corner.
To determine whether your target has cover from your ranged attack, choose a corner of your square. If any line from this corner to any corner of the target's square passes through a square or border that blocks line of effect or provides cover, or through a square occupied by a creature, the target has cover (+4 to AC).
If he currently has cover, then if just him and Nym where in a tunnel 5 ft wide with nothing in between us he would also have cover, which I don't think is right.

I think Nym is inquiring about using his southwest corner as the starting point of his spell. Assuming there is no environmental obstructions, you could feasible draw a line from that corner to any of the bad guys four corners without passing through anyone. The question of cover comes in when we consider the south west wall and it's relevance. In this particular case I have read differences in opinions, and I have seen GM's rule differently on it.
The best thing to do in a situation like this, would be to ask the GM and role with his ruling on it.

I am going to be out of town for 3-5 days. If necessary GM can post in my absence.

I am not sure, but I kind of have a feeling the scenario didn't really expect the pcs to worry about the slaves or take the prisoners well being in consideration after the mission. Its possible I just found a plot hole and poked at it >.>
So its fun to role play it out I guess, but I don't know if we want to put tons of effort in to if there is no real solution. I could be wrong though!

I'll be honest -- when I wrote Grym's last post, I hadn't noticed that we'd explored most of the map. I see no reason not to go ahead and replace the statue at this point.
Also, I like the role-play aspect of figuring out what to do with the slaves. I'm not seeing many more opportunities for inter-party banter in this scenario.

I will be rebuilding Missy (as an unchained summoner) ... the new name on the journal will be Pan Dhur ...
TIA

I don't want to seem pushy, but do we have any word on when we should get Chronicles? I'll be attending a convention soon and am hoping to have all my characters available should I need them.

I am in the same boat as Grym. I was hoping to attend an up coming table game with Saphera.
