Just a heads-up; in situations like this, when you don't have anything else you'd like to do in the current scene, you should feel free to tell me where your character is going next.
Transitioning the scene to whereever I think you should go next feels rail-roady to me, and I'd much rather have you tell me what you're up to.
Also, I'm not adverse to splitting the party, at least in pbp games. Do feel free to run if you get in combat, though.

I was just recently PMed by a prospective GM for our campaign. I checked his/her profile/posting history, and apparently s/he's a newcomer to the site--he/she has no prior posts/threads/what-have-you here.
I'll admit I'm a bit worried about this, but I'm inclined to give him/her a chance.

As it turns out, our possible new GM has prior experience in GMing over the tabletop and through Skype.

Just got a reply from our current prospective applicant.
S/He's been reading through the gameplay thread and figuring out what to change to make it fit with the concept of magic being readily available. However, s/he'll be unavailable until Wednesday, so if we do choose to go with him/her, it'll be until later that day or Thursday before we can pick things up again.
S/He's also given his/her blessing to the new applicant since s/he'll be a little slow to start.
I'm okay with waiting, but if you want to get started faster, you could see if the other potential GM is good to go. Honestly, though, either way I don't think we'll be going until after Wednesday anyway.
(Or to put it in less confusing terms. I'm fine either way.)

Question: Am I wrong in assuming 3 of you - if not all 4 - are locals of Sandpoint, either by growing up or moving in?
I think Lia and Pendrix are the only ones that have been in Sandpoint a while. Sesi just arrived the morning of the festival. I don't recall exactly how long Karst has been in Sandpoint, but I think it's less than a week or two.
