Qadathra uses a wand to simulate divine guidance to everyone as Luisila swoops down and provides actual divine guidance to Aegis.
Marta moves up and smacks one of the cultists hard. Green B is still up, but very shaken.
Fendahl hits the one held by Kirrah, knocking him unconscious. Red A is out on the first hit, so Fendahl actually has a move action remaining, and Kirrah has a full round.
Kirrah and Fendahl can finish their round! Red B is next closest and only 5' away, so no pounce, but Kirrah can 5' step and full attack anyway if so inclined.

So, fun story: Fendahl's second attack left Red B with 1hp ... so his third attack dropped him dead. Oops. Silly low-CON cultists.
Fendahl drops one cultist, then steps up and attacks the next ... only to realize that one was more hurt, and couldn't withstand the assault.
With no one else nearby, Kirrah just growls.

Myron fires off a brace of magic missiles, enhanced by the power of his toppling rod. All but one of his targets is knocked over, and one is knocked out! Green B manages to keep his feet, Green A is unconscious from combined lethal and nonlethal damage.
The Bralanis keep up their non-lethal assault, taking down more of the cultists! Red Bralani knocks out Orange A after the 2nd hit and applies the third to Orange B. Orange Bralani switches targets to Green B, as Green A was already out; the first hit drops Green B, so it takes a 5' step and continues on Orange B, finishing that one off. Yellow Bralani scores three hits on Blue B, who is still conscious.
By the time Aegis' turn comes up, both of the Oranges are down. Redirecting him to Yellow B.
Aegis swoops around to find a target that is still moving; he picks the giggling cultist and grabs hold of him.

Not knowing that Luisilla's taken the same tactic (unless that roll was good enough to spot the vegetation moving aside for her), Marta takes off like a shot down the tube of tunnel, her freedom of movement spell shoving the vines apart for her, and the haste spell making her a halo lit blur in the dim light.
She gets where I have her on the map in a single move action. She has a standard action left to use depending on what she sees.

Fendahl calls back Kirrah
”Kirrah.Halt. Enough has been done. Now we must ask these creatures who they serve and whence our quarry went. “
| GM Rinaldo |
Marta and Luisila each make their way across the room. Entering the tunnel, they note that the ceiling here is a bit lower (only 20' tall).
As Marta gets further in, she sees a vertical curtain of whirling blades covering the entrance to the chamber beyond.
Marta can take her second action, and Fendahl, Kirrah, Vladek, and Qadathra are still up.
Marta - A.K.A. Telmar So-Melnop
|
Though Marta is in really good shape, she hesitates to push through the barrier on her own and waits for backup.
If something attacks her she will counter attack, but otherwise she waits.
"We got a blade barrier over here with some spell caster causing mischief on the other side. Anyone care to join me?"
Luisila
|
“I’m close by, Marta.” comes Luisila’s voice from somewhere above and behind the minquisitor.
“I can try to dispel the blade barrier next time.”
She then calls back to the main chamber. “HEADS UP – demon-worshipping cleric in the house!”
“Beware of negative energy channels, but remember I’m here to heal you.”
Fendahl Silvermane
|
Fendahl and Kirrah will move up to Luisila and Marta
”Hrrmm. This seems most unlike our diminishing tribesmen. Were they deceived or actively protecting the escape?“
They will ready to advance if and when the steel curtain is dispelled.

Still waiting for Vladek; I'll give a little more time before botting.
Yeah, I haven't been sure what to do; Fendahl's decided to let the remaining cultists sit there and remain dangerous for some reason, and I'd provoke from them if I tried going past them to the tunnel (which is kind of what I want to do) unless I flew over them, but I don't want to waste my Flight (or the standard action it would take) at the moment.
Fendahl Silvermane

interestingly enough, Fendahl doesn’t consider the cultist dangerous at all and pities them. The true threat is the one escaping down the tunnel. The bralani seem more than capable to mop up the last ones:)

If 50ft is not enough, then they will double move to get into melee range, i.e. no standard attack. If the wall doesn't come down, they will ready action to attack whatever comes to melee range (using the same rolls in the spoiler). No more nonlethal.

After a few more shakes, the laughing cultist gets quite and falls limp, and Aegis drops him. Yellow B is out!
The last cultist also easily falls to his azata. Yellow Bralani takes down his cultist in one hit, and has a move action remaining. I've moved him up to join the party.
Myrdon flies up to get the blade barrier into view, and with a word dismisses it. This gives those in the lead a view into the chamber beyond.
The most noticeable and harrowing feature of this room is the 60-foot-tall statue of Angazhan carved into the west wall. At its feet stands a candle-laden altar, upon which a female human lies bound. Two giant murals flank the statue, painted with mud, blood, and more unmentionable substances. Like much of the rest of the cave, vines cover the ceiling, though these vines hang fifty feet or more above the ground.
The southern mural depicts a giant red ape standing atop a mound of corpses recognizable as the dozens of deities within Golarion’s pantheon. The northern mural depicts several humanlike apes emerging from a river of blood, driving throngs of enslaved humans before them.
In front of the altar is a huge armor-clad ape who stands facing you with a look of pure hatred. He holds a spear in one hand.
As directed, the two other Bralanis rush into the room and begin hacking at the gorilla, drawing first blood. Both attacks did hit.

Round #5: AC 25 (haste) DR 5/bludg, fly (7/12 mins), bless (4/10), prayer (3/5), haste (4/12)

“HEADS UP!”
*Blech* Is that like my new favorite saying?
“A second gorilla is hiding in the vines near the ceiling. This one is large not huge.”
Luisila climbs forward to ceiling height, becoming visible once she finishes ✨casting boneshatter at Huge monkey-boy.

Perception: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (12) + 26 = 38
"Bigger? There must be two. I see another one but it is not quite as big!"
Naturally Marta dashes towards the huge ape to engage. Human sacrifices are the bane of all diplomacy.

Knowledge Large Ape: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13, +1 local, +4 nature, +? other
If the knowledge is good enough to identify the basic type of the creature, she will activate bane on it. I'll assume either she or someone else is and include ban in her rolls.

Fort: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (4) + 20 = 24
Luisila casts a spell, gathering forces of life and death to shatter the gorilla's bones. The magic wreathes around the creature, reacting strangely before finally squeezing in on him. Half damage and fatigued ... and ...
Reflex #1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20Reflex #2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
Assuming DC 18 on this spell like your other spells at the same level.
Fendahl calls forth spears of ice from the ground under the giant gorilla. The spears elicit howls of pain as they open up gashes in its feet, but don't manage to knock it over before they melt back to the ground.
Marta moves up, sizing up the opponent, and concluding that despite its size and magic, it is fundamentally still a gorilla, as is the more normal looking one up on the wall. Despite this knowledge, she isn't able to get her spear's point through its thick hide, which might be magically enhanced.
Vladek and Qadathra are up!
Vladek Odradek
|
Perception, prayer: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (9) + 24 = 33
Knowledge (Religion), prayer: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28
"Did I just see...it can't be...wait, of course it can..."
Given the nature of Elven eyes, the others more feel Vladek's sidelong glance toward them than they do see him making it.
"...for those of you - myself included - who have never encountered a LICH before, allow me to introduce us to one."
"Also, there's someone else up in the corner there," He adds, pointing out the (relatively) smaller gorilla-beast up in the corner.
Qadathra
|
Qadathra alights on Vladek's shoulder, only to disappear (greater invisibility SLA) the moment he does so!
Vladek Odradek
|
Vladek imbues Qadathra with a nasty 'tribute' to deliver to the towering horror...decompose corpse - which, if I'm reading it correctly, shouldn't permit a saving throw since I'm not making it against an object, and I think would make sense from a balance/power standpoint, too.
| GM Rinaldo |
The way I read it, it will get a saving throw, but because the spell can be cast on objects, it is not immune to the spell per the standard undead trait. (That's actually the reason the boneshatter worked, also - that spell works on objects as well.)
Qadathra lands on Vladek's shoulder as the witch casts a spell and imbues its power into his familiar.
Chorkak spear attack #1 vs Marta: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (4) + 21 = 25
Chorkak spear attack #2 vs Marta: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
Chorkak spear attack #3 vs Marta: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Chorkak slam attack vs Marta: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
The giant gorilla jabs its spear repeatedly at Marta, missing every time. It even uses its free hand to try to smash her, but he just can't seem to connect. I really should have hit at least once! *sigh*
Garugu claw vs Orange bralani: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30 damage: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20
The smaller (though still impressive) gorilla leaps down and swipes at one of the bralani, hurting it despite its magical protection. 10 damage through DR.

Thoroughly invisible, Qadathra flies directly up to the monstrosity and stings it with his long tail, laden with Vladek's magic!

OMG, that was a mess. Can't say I mind though! Will post combat actions when I'm not at work.
Marta ducks and weaves and looks a bit surprised that her antics were so effective when none of the blows land.

Mrydon swoops in belatedly. "Wait, did someone say there is a gorilla lich? This I got to see." And indeed, he got an eyeful as he quickly pulls back before stumbling further into the cavern. (I'm so tempted to cast mad monkeys on the gorillich right now...)
