Ridley Disable Take 20: 20 + 6 + 2 = 28
Ridley tries the door and finds it remains locked. Grunting, he sets up to try again. Taking his time, he fiddles with the lock. After a few minutes he feels the tumbler fall into place.
As the door swings open with a loud CrrrrK, you spy two stone altars, one black and the other white placed at either end of the large chamber. The massive room takes up two wings of this level of the tower. The crumbling remains of wooden benches sag in front of each alter beneath rotting ceiling tapestries. Carved symbols and writings snake along the walls. The burnt corpses of two troglodytes lie on the floor in the center of the room.
Suddenly two piles of bones burst into flames as they stand and move towards you.

Izabelle grits her teeth in frustration. If Rögna attacks them he'll get burned, and he's been pretty beat up already...
"Rögna won't be much help here, but I can assist another one of you instead!"
I too would like to delay my action if possible, and wait for an opportunity to use Aid Another with someone who can safely attack.

GM RePete |

Unsure of how to handle the burning corpses, Eoshli, Ridley, and Izabelle hold back. Each with their own reasons, they try to determine the best course of action to combat this new threat.

Then he will ready an action to take a 5-foot step back and to the right if someone tells him they want to go hit the skeleton.

Rögna looks at the Flaming Skeletons, his face hidden behind his mask. "It may be our only option, friend Eòshli. If you believe your magic can assist me, I will trust you."

Seriously, I just didn't want to move and let it get in and burn everybody. I readied to move if anyone wants to step up. We killed 1 already. Maybe everyone with range weapons just ready to shoot, then I'll open the door and everyone can hit it at once?

I'm fine with that plan
"Ok, so Ridley, you open the door and we all shoot it?"
Rowan will ready an attack to shoot the skeleton after the door is open (presumably we can arrange things such that nobody is actually standing in the way, which should help avoid cover penalties).

As you scour the room, Ridley and Rowan notice one of the banners has a breezing come from behind it...through the wall. On further inspection, it seems quite obvious to the two a door is hidden here, though it seems locked. Taking his time, Ridley manages to unlock it without incident. There do not appear to be any other doors in this spacious room aside from the one to the stairwell.
Finish up anything you wish to here, like healing Ridley. When ready, look at the next spoiler.
A living, moving fabric seems to cover the ceiling of this half-collapsed chamber, which stretches northwest into darkness. The pungent smell of ammonia rises from the droppings that litter the floor.

Ah, that burns. Ouch ouch ouch. Maybe next time one of you stand in front of the big burning skeletons? I'm not cut out for that kind of work... oooh hey whats that...
Ridley walks over to the altars and examines them.
These altars are dedicated to Nethys. Maybe we'll find some fun magic items in this fortress.
Picking up the scrolls, he takes a few moments to examine each one.
Bah, whoever wrote this scroll was drunk. It's illegible! This second one is a scroll of shield though. Wonder what other sort of things...
Ridley suddenly stops talking and walks swiftly over to one of the banners, pulling it back with a dramatic flourish.
Aha! Our way forward presents itself! Let me see here... this shouldn't be any problem...
He once again pulls out his thieve's tools and sets to unlocking the door. The whole time, he speaks with a sense of frenetic urgency for no discernible reason, and as he moves about the room ignoring the rest of the party, you are unsure of if he is speaking mainly to himself or addressing the rest of the party. After popping the door open, he takes two steps through before turning to look at the rest of the group.
Well, you guys coming? Or do I have to clear the rest of these ruins myself? Get the lead out, there's rooms to explore! What's that smell... smells familiar... ammonia maybe? But what could be making that smell...
