Hadjii |

Sheeba looks to Hadjii for direction (i.e. holds initiative until right after the Hadj). Hadjii uses a Mythic Point to cast Atavism on the freshly hasten wolf:
"Nixon!"
Then the big she-wolf attempts to chomp a lizard -- trying to flip it for a shot at it's 'nads:
Sheeba's bite attack: 1d20 + 13 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 13 + 3 = 31
if AC 31 hits, then 2d6 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (5, 6) + 10 + 2 = 23 points of damage
...*and* Sheeba'S TRIP attempt: 1d20 + 14 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 14 + 3 = 29 vs CMD once again, just a formality with all them legs...
with Atavism & Haste, Sheeba's AC is 35...

GM Pox |

Sheeba hits but is unable to trip the four legged beast.. Non the less it takes a big bite.
Calla is up!

Calla Voni |

K.Arcana: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 20 = 23 Calla would like to know any elemental resistances or vulnerabilities the things might have.
Seeing one dead and another on the way, Calla just spread some damage on the monsters, being careful not to hit Sheba the undead wolf.
"****Ball!!" Regular fireball, or with a different element in case they have resistance to fire or vulnerability to something else.
Damage: 10d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3, 6, 3, 1, 4, 3, 1, 1) = 32 [ooc]Reflex 23 for half.
She takes some steps back. +30ft away.

GM Pox |

These are Basilisks.. None and None..
1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Calla's fireball is well placed as she enevelops 4 of the 5 remaining beasts..
4d20 ⇒ (6, 14, 10, 8) = 38 all fail..
Scorched but still alive 2 of the beasts unleash there terrible gaze attack.. 2 DC 17 Fort or get turned to stone
The other 3 move to attack!
Logos: 1d20 ⇒ 9 miss
Hemket: 1d20 ⇒ 12 hit
Sheeba: 1d20 ⇒ 8 miss
Dam Hemket: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Logos The Mad |

Fort 1: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Fort 2: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14

Hadjii |

SHEEBA'S Fortitude save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
SHEEBA'S Fortitude save: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
does Hadjii need to save as well, even though he's not specifically attacking them? If so:
Hadjii's Fortitude save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Hadjii's Fortitude save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
if he must make these saves, Hadjii will have to try a Mythic Surge on the first roll:
added Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 2
which works!

Hadjii |

Pox: please let me know if Hadjii had to roll that saving throw and use that Mythic Surge...
averting his eyes, the Hadj will check to see if he knows how to un-petrify his poor stony companion:
Hadjii's Knowledge:Arcana check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
does that work? is there actually a bit of obscure knowledge that Hadjii knows?

Calla Voni |

Fortitude Save 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Fortitude Save 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
"Turn to stone? One word for you: AR-CA-NIST!" BUt of course she underestimated the creatures, thinking they would be an easy prey. They are dangerous, and now because of that half of the party is stone. Well, at least she wouldn't need to worry about hurting them with her full power, right?
So she unleashed everything she got, hoping to kill as many as she could without hitting her flesh allies. Empowered Fireball. Empowered by reservoir too.
Fireball: 10d6 + 20 ⇒ (6, 3, 6, 6, 1, 4, 4, 5, 3, 3) + 20 = 61 DC 25 Reflex to take half.
She tries to avert her eyes from the remaining creatures, since she doesn't need to hit them with precision.

Logos The Mad |

Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Surge: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Surge doesn't help when the dicebot has decreed you are stone

GM Pox |

Sheeba turns to stone as well, but Hadjii and Calla seem to shrug it off.. From each round on you can shoose to avert your eyes and basically give them concealment towards your attacks..
1d2 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Still blows up 4..
4d20 ⇒ (15, 3, 2, 20) = 40 1 save
Turning up the heat Calla manages to bbq 3 of the basilisks.. 2 remain..
Hadjii and Calla both know you can unstone people if fresh basilisk blood is rubbed on the statues..
Hadjii is up!

Marius Bergan |

Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
And then the cleric turned to stone.

Calla Voni |

Calla would have passed in all of them. She is an Arcanist.

Hadjii |

averting his eyes from basilisks, Hadjii casts Ice Storm just in front of Sheeba's position -- figuring the lizards are within 20' of that location...
BLUDGEONING damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5) = 10
COLD damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
he'll land about 50' from the battle, knowing it is only a matter of time before he too becomes stone -- and not wanting to shatter into a million pieces after falling from 60' up!

Calla Voni |

Calla has Feather Fall, in case you need it. That is, unless she turns into stone ^_^

Marius Bergan |

Hadjii, if you are more than 30 ft. from the basiliks then their gaze attack can't affect you, so being 60 ft. in the air really is the best defense as they won't be able to touch you.

GM Pox |

Hadjii's ice spell takes out another of the beasts as it turns to a block of ice.
The remaining one focuses it stone gaze at Calla.. DC 17 Fort of Flesh to Stone..
After that yall 2 remaining fleshy's are up..

Hadjii |

Hadjii will hit the last one with his prepared Flame Strike -- figuring rapid heating (Calla's Fireball) followed by rapid chilling (Ice Storm) and another rapid heating cycle should shatter the thing:
Flame Strike damage: 8d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 1, 3, 5, 5, 6, 1) = 32 (Reflex save DC=22)
then the small air elemental will take to the air again, arcing 50' up over the target...

GM Pox |

1d20 ⇒ 9 With a strong display of firepower Calla and Hadjii reduce the last lizard to smoking meat..
Just need Calla's save now..

Hadjii |

after scanning the area for further threats, Hadjii will set about collecting basilisk blood, whilst having his Unseen Servant smear it all over his companions -- starting with the Mystic Theurge.

Calla Voni |

Calla fails her save spontaneously, just to know how it feels to be turned to stone.

GM Pox |

Lol ok.. Good thing Hadjii made his check to know what to do!
And all is quite as the self proclaimed Arcanist turns to stone as well.. Hadjii is the last man standing among an art museum in the desert.. It takes some time and its messy but with 6 dead lizards you have plenty of fresh blood to turn everyone back to flesh..
After searching the lizards lair you find several broken statue remains and 2 that are still whole.. It appears to be female human and the other a male human.. There is also considerable loot in the place strowed everywhere..

Marius Bergan |

As Marius feels the coldness of being stone recedes from him he sees Hadjii and claps him on the back. "Thank you friend, I won't forget your assistance here. Let's start helping the others" And Marius will do just that helping Hadjii get more blood to save his companions.
As they enter and find the statues Marius will go back and bring some of the blood over to the two people and rub it on them to try and bring them back from being stone as well.

Hadjii |

Calla is 2nd to be restored, as Hadjii moves extra quickly to thoroughly lather the beast's blood around, and bring the ArchMage back to life -- even before Sheeba!
"Oh, my apologies for touching you inappropriately, ma'am: it was necessary!"
Hadjii will examine the found items with an eye towards learning their origin as much as determining their value -- does any of this stuff look like the kind of thing tomb-makers might have carried? Is there anything that appears to be from the time of Chisisek? Are the statues wearing anything that's a clue to the people's origin?

Logos The Mad |

You might want to check your clothes for hand prints Calla, to see just where you were inappropriately touched. :)

Logos The Mad |

Logos snorts. "Calla? Prestidigitation all around? And why are there hand prints on your chest?"

Hadjii |

"Oh! Sir, it was necessary! Especially in lumpy areas!"
once again, Hadjii must avert his eyes -- but this time from Calla (who may notice a bit of extra smudge in the chest area...
"Yes! Yes -- Prestidigitation for everyone, please! Right away if you would, please!"

Calla Voni |

Calla seems happy to have passed by the experience of being turned to stone, but it vanishes as soon as she realizes what Hadjii just made the terrible joke of the druid. "My flesh was harder than stone. I don't think it would be a great experience, but did you enjoy it? I didn't feel anything, probably your power is not relevant enough, Hadjii... You will starve to death being such a bad gigolo.."
Seriously, you are disgusting.
She starts to check the lair and loot right away. "So, how rich are we?"

Hadjii |

embarrased by his faux pas, Hadjii will avoid Calla for a while...
Hadjii still reviews each item found for any connection to the current mission:
Hadjii's Knowledge:History check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Hadjii's Knowledge:Local check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
but we already know Hadjii ditched a lot of school...
he'll also examine any major magic item found:
Hadjii's Spellcraft check: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
evidently the dice don't consider that a knowledge check!

GM Pox |

As you rub blood on the female she turns to flesh and comes too.. She wears leathers and carries a nice looking rapier. She takes a seat still not knowing what exactly is going on..
The fella passes out on the ground as he is awakened. The sudden shock of being unstoned is to much to bare. He wears a breatplate made of mithril has a bow strapped across his back. In his hand though he carries a metal cylinder about a foot long..
In and around the cave you all find as follows:
+2 punching dagger
Gloves of arrow snaring
a copper wind chime decorated with gold jackal heads worth 200 gp,
a sack of caltrops,
113 pp, 1298 gp, 1,090 sp, and 203 cp.
If yall are taking the peoples gear let me know..

Hadjii |

the Hadj will have his unseen servant apply the blood on the two statues -- less chance of a perceived faux pas that way...
can I apply that Spellcraft check result of 30 (above) to the rod in the guy's hand? That item would tend to get Hadjii's attention right away...
so none of this stuff is any kind of clue for our mission?
(Perhaps someone who paid attention in school should try a few Knowledge checks...)

Logos The Mad |

School? What is... school? You keep using that word, but I don't think it means what you think it means...
Kn(Arcana): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Kn(Local): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (17) + 12 = 29

Marius Bergan |

Marius takes the weapons away from the two of them including the rod, and looks them over.
"So happy to meet the two of you. My name is Marius and we all decided to save your lives. No need to thank us, but if you don't mind handing over your armor and gear."

Calla Voni |

I think he means the regular school, the one we went to when we were children... Isn't it?
Calla thinks that Marius is becoming a nice Bully. She opens her mouth to say anything, but does not do so, since she doesn't want to turn into the bullied one. She examines the magical artifacts from afar, detecting magic, and gets ready to cast Charm Person on the woman if she tries to harm them in some way.
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 20 = 30
Why are you rolling K.Local, btw?

Logos The Mad |

What school? Logos never went to school. And I was told to roll Knowledges. If nothing else, Kn(Local) can help with identifying the stoned couple.

GM Pox |

The man is passed out so relieving him of his gear isnt a problem..
+2 Mithril Breastplate
+2 Comp LB(+3 str)
Mwk Battleaxe
Potion of Cure Serious
After staring at the cylinder for quite some time Hadjii and Calla are able to toss some ideas around and finally think they know what it is.. With a click of a very hidden button the cylinder instantly transforms into a silvery metal bow with crescent moons on each end as string holders. There are elvish runes enscribed along the length of the bow.. It's very light for being made of metal, which you think might be mithril.. The bow is not strung.
The Moon Bow
CL 15th
Worth?
This spectacular work of art is actually a very powerful weapon. It is a +3 Mithirl Comp Longbow that auto adjusts to the weilders strength bonus and creates its own arrows. The bow is not strung and when a pulling motion is applied the string forms and looks like a golden string of light. The arrows the bow creates will bypass any material alignment DR. It also has the following abilities:
3/day Penetrating Strike - As a free action your next attack will bypass any DR or Hardness.
1/day Aspect of the Wolf
The chick seems hesitant but starts removing her gear as she repsonds.. "My name is Ashmenak. Me and my partner their were, um.. Treasure seekers.. We stumbled upon this cave system and its inhabitants and the rest is self explanatory.. Can you tell me what year it is?" The year doesnt matter, you can make up one. What is important is that its been 1200 years since they were stoned, by the basilisks yall killed ancestors..
+1 shocking burst rapier
+3 studded leather
+1 light crossbow
Potion of Cure Serious
If on eof yall speak elvish let me know.

Hadjii |

"I am just wondering: were you looking for something in particular here in these sandy wastes?"
Hadjii tries to determine the character of these strangers:
Hadjii's Sense Motive check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
do they seem like good guys or bad guys?

Calla Voni |

Of course Calla speaks Elvish, or Elven, or whatever they call that language, as she was born with an innate ability for languages, magic and mythicness.
"So yes, you've been stoned for about 1200 years... It must be very weird to return to the world of the living after such a long time... I wonders what happens to the soul of the person during all this time. It must be very boring..." She has her head on the clouds for a second, then return to speak with the VIP information from Djejeret's time.
"Forgive my companion, Ashmenak. We are also treasure hunters, our group is called the Obsidian Eye, and we are used to acquiring treasure we find, so he was a little harsh with his words, and acts, of course. Listen, why don't you help each other? We already saved you two, but we can also tell you how is Osirion these days, indicate where you could go to rest, or even protect you during that. In exchange, you tell us what exactly were you searching here, and what do you know about this cursed desert." She smiles with such a proposal.

Marius Bergan |

Marius shakes his head at Hemket's comment thinking that he is being completely serious. "I am sorry to disappoint you Hemket, but I am not the soul of compassion. I will save people, but then I must obviously charge them for the saving. Their most valuable gear will be the best payment I think."
Marius then sniffs at Calla calling him harsh. "Hey I saved them the least we could ask for thanks would be some compensation in the form of their gear."

GM Pox |

Eventually the guy comes around and both are shocked by how long they've been stoned. They tell you a story them traveling looking for the very thing you found on them, the Moon Bow.. After reading the writing and listening to the story its apparently a very potent artifact dedicated to the God Ketephys. Which is the God of forestry, hunting, and the moon. An elvish diety obviously.. I forgot to add that the male was an elf btw..
So apparently this item had been stolen by some desert raider king and these peeps were paid to steal it back. They achieved their goal only to take rest in the not so empty cavern system.. They have no issue giving over the Moonbow, but ask that you not take their other items as they will need them to escape the desert. Assuming you all fill them in on why your here.. "I seem to remember coming across some weird pyramids way somewhere north of here. If you get us out of the desert we will do our best to lead you to it.."

Hadjii |

do these two seem to be a couple of OK folks? -- or do they seem to be evil? (see Sense Motive check above)
Hadjii is inclined to let 'em keep their stuff if they're not evil -- and apologize for Marius' brutishness in that case -- but if they are bad guys, he'll go with Marius' plan to just take it all!

GM Pox |

Although noone used any alignment detection spells they seem to be of the "neutral" alignment..
