Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

I also have Treat Injury as a battlefield support droid.

Male Duros Scoundrel 4 | Init: +11 | Perception: +8 | Threshold: 15; HP: 33/33 | Fort: 15, Ref: 20, Will: 16 | Condition: Normal | Speed 30' (6 squares) | Force Points Used: 3 (of 7) | Favored Attack: Heavy Blaster Pistol, +7 ranged, 3d8 +2 energy damage (+1/+1 attack/damage to 30', +1 attack when aiming [2 swift actions)

3000 credits? Nice! Spending 1k on a flight suit (because... well... pilot!), another 1k on a couple blocks of detonite and 250 for a timer (just in case!), 500 for a wrist-sized long-range comlink and most of his remaining credits on a pocket scrambler and a power recharger.

Also, can we figure Sebbik used his free time to repair that hoversled? It's a fun vehicle to fly around in, and it was pretty badly damaged on that last mission. :)

Doh! My brain needs reprogramming.

I have taken Force Focus.

On Insight of the Force, there are 7 knowledge skills [KS]. For 1 talent you can make a Use the Force check for all 7.

To take all 7 KS would take seven feats, skill training x7. To get them as good as Galatea's Use the Force you would need to take Skill Focus x7 and Exceptional Skill x7. I know Jedi are supposed to be good, but that is 1 talent for a Jedi Knight, 21 feats for anyone else. I want some of the drug whoever wrote the rule was on. And this from someone who has been known to power game a little bit, sometimes, playing a Jedi.

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Hey gang, just a head's up that I'm going to Philadelphia for a few days for work, (Sunday through Wednesday) and may not have much availability. Feel free to bot (teehee) me as necessary!

Safe travels! Have you been to Philly before?

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Yes, but not in ~13 years so it'll be cool to go back! It's a pretty short trip and short notice trip so I'm not sure I'll have a lot of time to explore, though.

Well, get yourself a good, proper Philly cheesesteak at least.

And avoid bars on the same nights as Phillies games. Seriously.

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Haha I'm from Boston, I know all about avoiding bars when there's sports happening. You better believe I'm gonna get a proper cheesesteak, that's priority #1.

Everyone, I will be on vacation starting tomorrow through Wednesday. Due to the difficulties of running the game from my phone, as well as time limitations, we will take a short hiatus until Thursday.

Hey everyone, I'm back, but I'm gonna give Sebbik, Galatea, and Callum another day to RP. I'll move us along tomorrow.

Shadow's Status

Sorry for the silence, RL has been super busy. Will be able to update once more on Thursday.

I think Scuttle is going to get this party in SO much trouble.

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Trouble or VICTORY?

[EDIT]

For real, though, in case anyone is worried - he's a soldier, with a primary function of protecting and supporting the team, he'll listen to your orders on the mission.

But also maybe kill Imperials. :D

Shadow's Status

Just an FYI, my move will be finalized this Sunday, till then I will be spotty online. By Monday I will be back to checking in every day or at the worst every other day.

Could I get a sound off of who's still checking?

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Still here! Just figure Scuttle should currently be keeping his lips a little buttoned.

Male Human

Here despite a bit of intermittent real life swamping. Mostly waiting to see what information Galatea's and Sebbik's information gathering gets us.

Shadow's Status

Checking in RL has just been impossible lately, please BOT me. Hope to be back next week.

Hey guys, I'll get things moved forward this week. Sorry for the delay. Got some house-related things I'm working on.

Male Human

No worries. :-)

Male Duros Scoundrel 4 | Init: +11 | Perception: +8 | Threshold: 15; HP: 33/33 | Fort: 15, Ref: 20, Will: 16 | Condition: Normal | Speed 30' (6 squares) | Force Points Used: 3 (of 7) | Favored Attack: Heavy Blaster Pistol, +7 ranged, 3d8 +2 energy damage (+1/+1 attack/damage to 30', +1 attack when aiming [2 swift actions)

No problem!

Shadow's Status

Apologies for the absence, I am checking into the Gameplay thread now.

Okay, that took more out of me than I though, so things aren't advancing until today. Sorry, guys.

Speaking of delays, I have an announcement. My wife will be giving birth to our first child in about five weeks or so. While this is a happy event, it would be foolish to assume nothing will change going forward. To that end, I'd like to specify the following:

First, I will NOT be ending this campaign. I fully intend to see this through to the end, and have some other games I'm a player in I'll drop out of first.

Second, while our current pace does seem to be slow enough it shouldn't be affected, there may be interruptions. I'll do my best to keep everyone informed.

Finally, I may need a little more from you guys for pushing things along story-wise, just in case I end up unable to do so. Letting me know specifically what you want to do would be the best option, so I can resolve accordingly or let you know what to roll.

EDIT: Another thing that would make this easier is if everyone could mimic their quick stat lines off of Callum's, for ease of reference.

Shadow's Status

Congrats and thanks for the updates. I certainly cannot complain about the pace as I was essentially unavailable for the last three months dealing with my own RL issues.

Droid Scout 2 / Soldier 1

Oh that's awesome, congrats!

Will update my stat line.

Male Duros Scoundrel 4 | Init: +11 | Perception: +8 | Threshold: 15; HP: 33/33 | Fort: 15, Ref: 20, Will: 16 | Condition: Normal | Speed 30' (6 squares) | Force Points Used: 3 (of 7) | Favored Attack: Heavy Blaster Pistol, +7 ranged, 3d8 +2 energy damage (+1/+1 attack/damage to 30', +1 attack when aiming [2 swift actions)

Congrats on the new arrival!!

Quick question for you... If Sebbik flies around in the repulsor sled while in this combat, does he have to use the vehicle weapon? Or can he fire his blaster instead? I'm presuming he can't do both, but wasn't sure if he had a choice (or if there is a penalty for firing a blaster while piloting.)

The reason I ask is that I think he has a better attack bonus with his blaster pistol, but I'd like to be piloting the vehicle during this combat to make good use of my Vehicular Combat feat, which allows me to negate a hit with a Pilot check.

Am I doing the math correctly for the repulsor sled, though? I'm showing my attack bonus is only +3 for the blaster cannon according to the stats block I copied to my character sheet - but I'm not sure that's right. Sebbik's BAB is +2 (though the vehicle is +1), and the INT of the vehicle is 14 (+2). Are those the values that make up the attack roll? Do I use the vehicle's BAB instead of my own? If I get to use my own BAB I guess I'd get +4 instead of +3, which is a little better anyway...

Thanks!

Male Human

Congratulations! And things will indeed change (trust me, I know), but it is going to be a fun ride! :-)

For sure, my daughter just started First Grade today. Time really does fly :-)

Use your base attack bonus and the Vehicle's Int bonus if you fire the blaster cannon. You can choose to attack with either the blaster cannon or the pistol, since the repulsor sled doesn't have an enclosed cockpit.

Okay, we are in the hospital with baby soon to be on the way. I’ll try to pick things back up by Monday.

Great to hear about the impending delivery! Hope mom, dad and baby all get plenty of rest!! See you in the Star Wars universe whenever you're ready to roll. :)

Sorry for the delay. Baby brain kicked in. I'm updating now.

No worries at all! There will be times when you are far too busy and/or exhausted to post - and other times when you will be eager to 'get away' for a bit! Believe me, I've been there!!

Shadow's Status

Will try and post tonight, super busy weekend, apologies for the delay.

GM Phntm 888- How is fatherhood treating you. My guess, well deduction maybe, is you are getting used to a lot less sleep.

Fatherhood is treating me very well, and I am getting used to less sleep. Fortunately, she hasn't been too fussy at night. She does need to be changed and fed, though, which is where the main interruptions to my sleep schedule are - especially as I can't always get back to sleep right away.

It's worse for my wife, as the baby wants to be held when napping during the day. This means she can't take a nap when the baby does.

I am, however, glad we already had two dogs, as it gave me lots of experience cleaning up someone else's poop. She doesn't poop often, but when she does, there's a lot of it.

Shadow's Status

The poop gets worse, right before they are potty trained :-)

Lack of sleep was the worst part for me, part of the reason I am opting out of getting re-married to have another one.

My ex-wife had the early shift and I had the late shift so if my daughter woke after 11:30 PM I had to deal with it, she only went to sleep with white noise AND long car rides on the highway. Luckily I had the dog to keep me company, God rest his soul he was a good boy!

Glad to hear Fatherhood is treating you well, greatest thing that ever happened to me was having my daughter :-)

Male Duros Scoundrel 4 | Init: +11 | Perception: +8 | Threshold: 15; HP: 33/33 | Fort: 15, Ref: 20, Will: 16 | Condition: Normal | Speed 30' (6 squares) | Force Points Used: 3 (of 7) | Favored Attack: Heavy Blaster Pistol, +7 ranged, 3d8 +2 energy damage (+1/+1 attack/damage to 30', +1 attack when aiming [2 swift actions)

I had the same deal with a very fussy baby (actually, the first two were fussier than the last one) who were almost impossible to get to sleep at night. I also drove them around late at night so the white noise could do its trick!

So, last night was weird and concerning to me.

We went to bed at 10, but the baby was fussy, so she needed some soothing until about 10:30-10:45...and then apart from a couple noises at some time in the middle of the night, she didn't wake up until 5:30 am.

I mean, my alarm for work goes off at 6:00 am, so this was essentially her sleeping through the night, and at 6 weeks old, it's a little early for that. SO now I'm concerned. But I should be happy, because she slept through the night.

Do babies always make you feel contradictory emotions?

Sure do especially when you are tired :-)

I have heard of babies that slept through the night right out of the gate, rare but it happens.

Oh hells yes, GM! They sleep when you don't want them to and they don't when you do! It's crazy...

Keep an eye on her, but they can start sleeping through the night at any age. I just never got that lucky! Chances are good this was a one off, but if it isn't than thank your lucky stars! :)

Well, since her feeding before we went to bed was at 8:00 last night, I decided to get up at 2:00 if she hadn't woken up by then in order to make sure she ate frequently enough. Sure enough, she was still asleep when I got up to change feed her - although I think if I'd let it go for another half-hour, she might have woken up on her own.

The fact that she can go for 5-6 hours between meals means that if we feed her right before we go to bed, she might sleep through the night regularly. It'll be interesting to see if that's the case.

Sick today, update tomorrow.

Female Niemoidian Noble 2/ Jedi 1

Sympathies. Get well.

By the way, if anyone needs to check rules when they don't have their books available, I suggest this site. I use it when I need it.

Hey all,

So, with the holidays coming up, I wanted to schedule out a holiday break.

Due to events with family, I'm going to say we're on a holiday break from December 25 - January 1. I may get a post or two in there, but otherwise I will probably be too busy to do so. During that time, there will be no posting expectation, and we'll get things rolling again on January 2. Sound good?

Shadow's Status

OK :-)

Male Duros Scoundrel 4 | Init: +11 | Perception: +8 | Threshold: 15; HP: 33/33 | Fort: 15, Ref: 20, Will: 16 | Condition: Normal | Speed 30' (6 squares) | Force Points Used: 3 (of 7) | Favored Attack: Heavy Blaster Pistol, +7 ranged, 3d8 +2 energy damage (+1/+1 attack/damage to 30', +1 attack when aiming [2 swift actions)

Sounds great! I'll be away from the boards myself for that same time period.

Male Human

Sure. Sounds fine. :-)

Female Niemoidian Noble 2/ Jedi 1

I am less affected by the Xmas period due to being single. But the idea of a scheduled break seems very sensible and I hope everyone and their families has a fine time.
