(Ashana is allowed a Surprise Round. Everyone roll for initiative. Where is Ashana? I don't see her on the map.)
Upon closer inspection, Ashana realized that many of the piles of bones were not piles - they were skeletons, fallen in place yet somehow still linked together! Digits tightened upon scimitars, not longswords, and with a growing horror she knew the skeletons would animate themselves like the ones before.
For everyone else...
The three seagulls gave a start, noisily flapping away in a burst of off-white feathers. All round you on the deck, piles of bones suddenly stirred, rising up to take on human shapes.
Ashana Blacktail
"More skeletons" Ashana will cry out and then prepare for the skeleton in K6 to animate before attacking it with her claws.
Claw attack:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 51d4 + 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (1) = 3
[ooc]Placed my self on the map last time but it didn't save for some reason...so hopefully I'm on there now.

"Remember that flank maneuver, Ashy-cat?" Shevan said loudly, smiling, unhooking his flail as he stepped in front of Adriano. (5-foot step from M5 to L6 on the map.) The man swung his right arm in a sharp arc, trying to get speed with the chained ball at the end of his weapon as he attacked the skeleton.
Attack:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
The animated bones easily ducked the flail.
Adriano Fierro
Adriano holds up his holy symbol of the Dawnflower thanking her for her power to harm hard these undead abominations with his faith in her.
Adriano moves Between Shevan and Phillip hoping to get a large amount of these abominations in this wave of faith. As Adriano prays rays of sunlight come down from the heavens each one hitting a skeleton within the range of Adriano(30 ft radius centered on him)
Channel Positive Energy 1d6 ⇒ 2
DC 12 will save
A good cleric (or one who worships a good deity) channels positive energy and can choose to deal damage to undead creatures or to heal living creatures. An evil cleric (or one who worships an evil deity) channels negative energy and can choose to deal damage to living creatures or to heal undead creatures. A neutral cleric who worships a neutral deity (or one who is not devoted to a particular deity) must choose whether she channels positive or negative energy. Once this choice is made, it cannot be reversed. This decision also determines whether the cleric casts spontaneous cure or inflict spells (see spontaneous casting).
Channeling energy causes a burst that affects all creatures of one type (either undead or living) in a 30-foot radius centered on the cleric. The amount of damage dealt or healed is equal to 1d6 points of damage plus 1d6 points of damage for every two cleric levels beyond 1st (2d6 at 3rd, 3d6 at 5th, and so on). Creatures that take damage from channeled energy receive a Will save to halve the damage. The DC of this save is equal to 10 + 1/2 the cleric's level + the cleric's Charisma modifier. Creatures healed by channeled energy cannot exceed their maximum hit point total—all excess healing is lost. A cleric may channel energy a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma modifier. This is a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. A cleric can choose whether or not to include herself in this effect. A cleric must be able to present her holy symbol to use this ability.

Phillip's rapier hit the skeleton (at O6), cutting it diagonally such that it fell into a heap of dried-out bones. (Skeleton at O6 destroyed)

Also, it doesn't look like the skellies who made their saves took half damage like they should have.
GM_Pace
(And Pazio just ate my post. Channel saves corrected for half damage.)
(In order to play faster - if you are avoiding AOOs or trying to cast spells or drink potions or whatnot, try rolling the to-hit from the enemy yourself. The nature of a PbP game makes that possible, and there's no ambiguity about these enemies if I've put a link to the PRD on their name(s).)
(For instance, on the map, Adriano cannot make a 5-foot step anywhere from M7 and quaff a potion without provoking an AOO. So he would look up skeletons, find out their to-hit is 1d20+0 with a scimitar (no secondary attacks, my call), and roll to see if one skeleton got lucky. If it rolls more than his AC, he fails at the AOO, and takes damage for the potion drinking.)
(But Channel Energy does not provoke AOOs, so blast away, Adriano!)

Round Three - midway
Map of the upper decks of the ship
Adriano's Channel caused two more skeletons to shatter and fall into a pile of bones and rusted metal. The last skeleton raised its' jagged scimitar, attacking the black-haired archer.
(L8) Attack on Shevan: 1d20 ⇒ 20 (Possible crit.) 1d20 ⇒ 6 (Does not confirm.) Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Phillip stepped around the cleric and tore through the skeleton with his rapier, finishing it.
(Ya'll are out of melee now.)
Everyone stood, ready for more animated skeletons, but no more of the bones moved. The battle had been less than a minute.
GMP-Shevan Risa
"Appleblight!" Shevan swore, holding his side where the skeleton had sliced him. He let his flail droop, as he stopped the rotation of the metal ball. Shevan looked at Ashana's wounds, then his own, before turning to Adriano. "If you could, Adriano, check our wounds? I think Ashana took the worst of it, but that last undead got lucky on me." Shevan asked.
GMP-Shevan Risa
"My flail works, but only one at a time. A heavy mace would be good as well." Shevan grunted, keeping an eye out. He poked at the pile of bones in front of him with a booted toe. "Huh. I guess I could Detect Evil, I was taught it back...where I come from." he stated, changing his tone halfway through the sentence. "Well, I see two doors and a hatch. Which do we pick?" he asked.
Phillip Conti
Phillip nods to Shevan. "I think the flail's a bit heavy for me, though. I think something lighter and faster would be better. Maybe a club of some sort. I don't know. I'll figure something out." He shrugs nonchalantly. "Any of the choices given sound fine. It doesn't really matter to me."
Adriano Fierro
Adriano head around to everyone checking to see how damaged the party is. Calling on the power of healing of the Dawnflower to heal his friends.
Channel Positive Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Adriano looks at the door and wonders what is behind them. "Phillip, you might want to see if we can break a piece of board off the deck to use off the club."
Phillip Conti
Phillip nods. "That'll work for now, but I'll start making myself something with scraps back at camp, I think."
I've got Craft(Weapons), why not use it? Incidentally, I was thinking of making a cestus, so Phillip will keep an eye out for metal plates/spikes that he could use in the construction of one, GMP.
GM_Pace
Sifting through the piles of bone chips and ash, you manage to scavenge 13 broken, rusty scimitars, and what could be 9 sets of ordinary chainmail, with 3 more chain shirts.
Prying open the hatch, a familiar stench of shellfish assaults the noses of three of you. It's the same as on the Tattooed Lady. You suspect there's little more than crab swarms down there.
That leaves either door on the worm-eaten ship.
Phillip Conti
Phillip tries to hack away a small bit of board off the deck with his handaxe, preferrably something small enough to finesse.
Once he's done so or failed miserably, he examines the loot. This is all very good stuff. Even if we don't use it as what it is, we can utilize this stuff in other ways. If we can't carry it all out of here, we may need to come back again, maybe with the rowboat.
Sorry about the lack of posting. I didn't see thhis message, either. I'll have Swag Bag take care of this stuff, even if only noting quantities and location. I doubt we'll be able to take all of this out of here in one trip.
GM_Pace
Both doors are warped such that they will not swing open. In addition, give me a STR check if you do try to open them.
Map of the cabins - new!
GMP-Shevan Risa
"Fine craftsmanship, to last this long." Shevan agreed. He went to the aft door, where the seagulls had perched. Trying the door, he grunted when the wood would not give. The raven-haired man backed up and gave the door a good shove.
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Cracking open, dust drifted down from the chamber. A ship's galley with tables and a cast-iron stove at the far end was the only contents of the room. Bird droppings littered the open hatch and one of the tables. "Nothing here!" Shevan called back to the others. "Somebody try the other door."
GM_Pace
The cat-woman's first attempt is as lackluster as you might expect, but her second attempt easily forced the door open. What met her eyes, as well as her companions when they came over, was a dark corridor.
In the middle of the passageway two door stood opposite each other. The door to starboard was torn apart; dust motes drifted in a ray of sunlight from outside. The port door was different. A pile of bones was at the edge of the door, which was scratched heavily, as if something was trying to get through repeatedly.
The door does not budge when you try the clasp. It is not only wedged, but something heavy is behind it. (You'll need another high-STR or assisted-STR roll to open it.)
GM_Pace
With great effort, the door was forced open. A bookcase filled with lumber pieces crashed to the floor, billowing dust everywhere. You discover a small cabin. The single window has been boarded tight, and most of the room is ruined, weathered trash. What met your eyes was the mummified figure on the single bed against the wall, a white-haired skeleton clad in rotting robes. It clutched a single wooden wand in one hand, while the other held a dagger. The skeleton was missing its' right leg below the knee, with a leather strap loosely bound around the withered limb. A torch mounted upright on the floor flickered with a suspiciously active but soundless flame. Inked on the wooden wall next to the bed are several sentences in Common, the sentences jagged and curving down at the ends. You can barely make out the Chelaxian words.
Run away as fast as you can
The dead become undead, the dead become undead
Oh Aroden, why have you abandoned me?

My friend s knock at the doo r, w an ting en tran ce to j o in the m

Several items lay scattered within reach of the dried-out corpse, including a heavy pendant on a chain on bony chest and papers lying on the bed. Dust continued to settle in the room.
Ashana Blacktail
Ashana will search the room and the mummified man for anything valuable. If she can do it with out her party members noticing she will try and grab the pendant off the bony chest of the man.

Shevan stared at the writing on the wall. "Not a good omen." he said soberly. He looked at the body on the bed, then at the torch on the floor, his gaze moving to the fallen books and parchments. "What do you think, Adriano?" he asked the cleric. "I didn't study books where I grew up, so I have no idea who this person worshiped in the past. Was this a holy man, or a scholar?"
Adriano Fierro
Silently Adriano walks toward the fallen books, treating this room like a tomb, looking at titles for the books if they have lasted the ravages of time.

You successfully hide the heavy gold necklace with the large winged eye pendant on your person.
You see Ashana's hands move quickly across the body as she leans over it to look at the corpse, and the necklace on its chest is no longer there. The necklace had a large pendant of a winged eye symbol.
(You can do a Knowledge: History check or Knowledge: Religion check on the image of the winged eye pendant, or other items in the room.)
Searching the room, you find:
wooden wand with skulls on it
wooden wand with grooves
wooden wand of half-raised runes - the body was clutching this
healer's kit (2 uses left)
several worthless books that have disintegrated over time
two candles
inkpen
empty ink vial
case, map or scroll (wood and pitch - waterproof)
6 blank parchments that can still be used to write on; they are the type used to write spells onto
2 divine-looking scrolls
ruined robes, backpack, belt pouch, bedroll, waterskin - not usable
enough worm-eaten lumber to count as two days of firewood
everburning torch
3 gp, 6 sp, 10 cp
All of you get the sense that this was the person's last holdout from the skeletons outside; the man died alone, and in terror.
(If anyone can do Knowledge: History check or Knowledge: Religion, you can try to learn more about the Golden Bow and its' religious passenger.)
