"Animal.... Friend... I can'not speak for al o' you, but I think Bugginton is more o' a curse. Seems that any goblin tha catches a glimpse o' him goes crazy... wel crazier than usual. An' if they seem him get even a scratch..." Ebonwolf trails off and winces at the thought of what had happened in the past. "les jus' say it ain't pretty."

With a haughty tone, Catherine declares "Goblins are never pretty. Even their shade of green is disgusting!"

"Hazzah Lady!!! Tha waz a gud one." Evonwilf begins ti slur his words a little more. "Care fer a drin' me lady?" he finishes by pointing a full pint her way.

Kaya giggles at this new development - honestly, this group was perhaps the most lively she'd encountered yet. "Princess Tiffany, perhaps you should be kind to the poor GM - he can't have known he was, um. Being rude?"

Corona looks up at the sky, momentarily startled by the disembodied voice, but then relaxes and waves. "It's another Gee-Em! They're like ghosts but way more uh...what's the word? Oh! Capricious, that's the word. Waaaaaay more capricious. But even so, they're mostly harmless - so I wouldn't worry too much, New Friends."

Turning her attention back to the others, she looks at Buggington with great curiosity. "He has some sort of maddening effect on goblins? That's neat! I thought only dogs and horses could do that."

Larry, Tiffany was only staying in character/smashing that fifth wall, my apologies if you took offense to her snootiness!

Tiffany drops her chin as Kaya reasons with her. "Well, I guess I'll let it slide just this once. It does seem like he's reconsidered now anyway!" She finds a chair, dusts it off with her hand a few times and takes a seat. She pulls out a metal stick and begins dragging it across her would be nails had it not been for her keratin-free genetics, yet the stick appears less like a rough file and more of a buffer. Her bulbous green digits appear both smoother and brighter as she drags it across them. "Hey Ebonwolf, how did you meet Buggington? Bebop and I go way back!"

Not at all offended. I'm having fun.

"Ha Tiffany tha was the story. You see I was head'n up ta Sandpoint to... make a 'delivery' of me good stuff." He grins and nods towards the pony keg on the table. "While make'n me way up there I stopped at a little farm outside o' the marsh. The man who owned the farmstead told me some strange stories about the local goblin tribe... frogkiss. No... hindlick... O wait they were called Licktoads. One story he says was snit how they crashed a halfling wedding." laughing a bit as he remembered the story "Tha cake never new what was gonna happen too it tha day. I went ta bed with a smile from laughing so much. Tha next morning while finishing my travels i came across a goblin that was crazed i tell you. I had to put it down. When I pulled me fadders Waraxe from the nice hole I left in its skull that's when I saw'm. Buggington pulled himself the folds of its clothes and hopped on me shoulder. He had'n left me side since."

I am very pleased to announce that as of this weekend it is now officially The Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

I am still trying to decide, but it will most likely be of House Arpadors.

"Sigh. I wish we could just, like, get going already. Gosh. I've been sitting here for what, weeks? Look at the oily sheen on my face!" Tiffany drags a finger across her chin, and notices a bump. She runs over to a mirror and gawks at a freshly formed bright red pimple smiling out of her face. "O-M-G. What is THAT?! GAHH!! Corona, get me my concealer! I can't be seen like this! Oh, I'm done for... I might as well be Bebop's sister at this point!"

"I've found it to be convenient," Kaya says, rubbing at the back of her neck, perhaps a bit sheepish. "I've been using the time to try to catch up! You've still got rather a lot more experience than me." The Tien woman sighs and shakes her head. "Well, I suppose I'll keep working at it!"

Humming under her breath a bit, she tends to her fur, carefully combing it in some places with her fingers, getting out mats and the like. The rest of the party looks nice, after all - why shouldn't she?

Starting Early?

Let me know if you're interested in starting early. I've finished running #6-10 Wounded Wisp, and I could start this scenario earlier than planned. We'd only do that if the whole party agreed, but I'd love to try.

There will be a couple of slow periods for me during Phase II of PbP Gameday VI.

October 8-19 my wife and I will be in Ireland for business and to celebrate our 34th anniversary. I should still be able to post once a day, but the posts might be a little thinner than I'd like. I think this group will provide plenty of hilarity to make that impact negligible.

At the end of October, we'll be in Nepal on business. I was a soldier there 2005-2007, and we've been invited to a ceremony expanding their Ranger battalion to a full-sized regiment. They're a pet project of mine and the US military's biggest partner in Nepal. We'll be traveling only about a week, but internet will be very unreliable.

That being said, I commit to providing you all a great experience and bringing all my GM skills to bear, while continuing to support Hmm with the reporting of sessions and processing GM and player boons.

Please don't be nervous about the GM leaving you in the lurch. Ain't gonna happen.

I'll be out from September 29th-October 8th for family reasons. @_@ I'll be trying to post, but we'll be at sea, so, uh... Might be sporadic at best? o:

I hit submit too soon. The trip to Nepal is a bust, so I won't be gone for the last week of October.

Alas, Corona's tied up in the Solstice Scar special until it finishes or I'd be fine with starting early :(

As far as absences and outages go, I've got an out-of-town wedding to attend on October 7th so I'll probably be absent for most the day - might have enough time to post that morning though.

Do any of you have the time, energy, and interest to join a Tier 4-5 table of #2-11 The Penumbral Accords I'll be running for GMG/Magabeus, Red, and GM Sapphire Fox in Phase 2? Looking for one, maybe two, players. I'd like to avoid oxygen thieves.
I had a couple of players drop out, and another player probably ought to start with a lower-tier scenario for his first PbP experience.
If you know someone else who'd be a good fit, please let me know.

We're good. Eric Collins - France came with an excellent recommendation (Hmm), and has taken the empty spot.

I've finished my slides for the most part, but I need to add Initiative and Perception modifiers.

@Lady Catherine: PC and mount will each have his or her own initiative roll. If you don't object, I can just automatically delay the better initiative roll until the worse one.

Automatically delaying should be fine.

A couple of questions on how you do things:
* Can I use the ride check from Mounted Combat to prevent a hit if I’m not flatfoooted but the mount is?
* Charging and reach weapons: I found out there is a lot of table variation on this. What happens if I am using a reach weapon and the mount doesn’t have reach? Can both rider and mount attack, or does the mount stop at the point I would attack?

Let me know if you want any changes to the taglines on either character.

This will be my first time playing the character. It is a combination of GM and playing a module in campaign mode. I've been going through the chronicles trying to make sure everything is in order.

We raise and train the most ferocious, combat trained mounts in all of Taldor. It does not matter if you need a horse, pony, boar or some other creature — we will find and train a suitable mount to your specifications.

If you can act, you can use your Mounted Combat feat.

As the rider and mount approach the opponent, the rider with the reach weapon strikes first, then the mount closes (carrying the rider in the saddle) and makes its attack(s). In subsequent rounds, the mount could attack, then take a 5-ft. step away from the opponent, enabling the rider to use his or her reach weapon.
