Ugh, probably not enough -_- I was excited to roll an 18, but that 1 on damage isn't likely going to cut it.
Rumble Craterkin
|
I think I missed something: why does Rumble have a pending fort save?
| GM Ladile |
He took a bite from Gurva during that same round that he wound up grappled.
(Unless you already rolled it and I missed it, somewhere >.>)
Rumble Craterkin

I haven't rolled it! He hasn't had the chance to "go" until now :) Editing it in now. Jk, well past the limit!

Follow-up on my earlier mention of running a 2E Adventure Path, I've decided to run the Extinction Curse (the premise seems fun and I find the enemies more engaging than those in Age of Ashes, which I probably will run eventually).
I'll be recruiting for Session 0 + 2e Boot Camp in a couple weeks with the intent to start the AP sometime after mid-August. If anyone's interested, I'll happily reserve you a spot.

I'm just about at my bandwidth, but thank you! When it comes time for it though, would you mind posting the link to your 2e boot camp? I'd love to just watch the thread if that's ok!
EDIT: Thanks for the healing Parison! Related to your IC joke: Fun Fact - I have three Dwarven characters. All have risked death due to something trying to eat them. One vs a Gibbering Mouther, One vs a giant Venus Fly Trap (which he is about to succumb to), and now Rumble! Want to know how many of my other characters in PF have ever had this happen to them? Of course you do! :D ZERO. XD
| GM Ladile |
Hey folks, your GM has been on the busy side the last couple of days but I'm aiming for an update later this evening~
@Zith - I'm down, especially since a couple of my other player games should be done or close to done by then.
| GM Ladile |
Happy July 4th to those of you in/from the US and Happy Saturday to those of you elsewhere or those that opt not to celebrate!
This is my weekend off (yay!) but otherwise no special plans on my end except maybe trying to enjoy the sunshine a little bit when it's not too terribly hot :)

Cannot express how glad I am that manacles are cheap and without encumbrance in PF2...
| GM Ladile |
So we've still got a bit more to go with our current scenario but I wanted to double-check that everyone is still good to play the next scenario on our list:
Mysteries Under Moonlight Pt. 1 - Testament of Souls
I ask because I know our pace isn't the swiftest and it can be easy to forget what scenarios we have planned without checking the list. Provided everyone's still good to go with the above, I'll start doing some prep work :)
| GM Ladile |
Hmm. In that case I can swap in Six Seconds to Midnight (3-7) - which it doesn't look like any of you have played, according to PFS Tracker - for one of the scenarios but we'll need to come up with a replacement for the second.
On the bright side, I've GMed Six Seconds to Midnight once before so I won't need a ton of prep time :)
Maria Kuerlara
|
Swapping works for me, that saves me burning a replay.
That new scenario also looks like one Maria will enjoy quite a bit.
Effie Gee
|
I'm really keen to play Six Seconds to Midnight with my inquisitor from Uringen. But he is level 5. Whilst that's still in tier there's a substantial power difference.
I could play it with Effie and replay later with Janus. Or maybe I could bring in Janus and catch Effie up with a GM xp.
Zithembe of the Six Paths
|
I’m fine with being shown up if that doesn’t push us into high tier and you’re OK with low tier items.
| GM Ladile |
Hmm. Accounting for five 3rd levels and one 5th level, we have an APL of 3.33 so we round down to 3. So we'd definitely be playing low-tier.
Which is a good thing because the other table was playing up with the 4-player adjustment and they struggled a bit with some of the fights.
Regarding the second replacement scenario we could either play #4-21 Way of the Kirin (back to Tian Xia) or #5-02 The Wardstone Patrol (Worldwound) *or* shuffle the original scenario order a bit to bump a later scenario further up and then just swap something else in for that when the time comes - since the higher level we go, the more scenario options available.
Zithembe of the Six Paths
|
I'd probably go for 5-02 between the two. Or move one of the later ones forward and replace that.
Maria Kuerlara
|
Oh yes, Maria has no love for demons. Wardstone Patrol would be more than an acceptable scenario.

Example SOP Document - something like this is what I'm thinking of. We can do as basic or as detailed ('I'll use <X> ability in <Y> circumstances while scouting') as the group prefers.
Did we ever get a base one of these set up for our group to fill in? I went back to see what had been done so far and can't find anything.
| GM Ladile |
^No but I can whip something up a bit later and set it to where all of you guys can add to it.
Zithembe of the Six Paths

Did Zithembe miss a ranged touch attack vs. a creature suffering a temporary Dexterity of 0? I think the 7 might have hid barring a +3 deflection bonus, but reroll was a 16.
| GM Ladile |
No. I sure thought I said that Zith threw the net over him in my earlier post but it sure looks like I didn't.
He's netted.

I am on holiday now for the next 9 days. I expect we'll have wi-fi but it could be patchy and I'll be doing a bit of traveling too, so my posting rate may drop a little.

By the way...that's no mistake on the damage. Kibizax is nastier than he might first appear.

Hey folks! In case you've yet to see it, the official announcement for Gameday IX is here! GM some games or wait with bated breath for player sign-ups to open! Or both! :D

They're going to be running The Sky Key Solution multi-table special this year! I'm probably going to sign up and play that with Rhys, my 5th level bard if I sign up for anything.
Also, there's something I want to let you guys know about that I'm doing.
With Covid-19 forcing a lot of Organized Play to move online until things return to a degree of normalcy, I thought I'd maybe have a chance to play more scenarios. My work schedule is usually Tuesday-Saturdays and I work 2nd shift on top of that so I don't get to play a lot with the exception of Sundays at my home lodge, but I have been willing to take time off and travel as far as 250 miles from home on rare occasions to play that are not cons (usually its to either check out a new lodge and meet new people and/or play in a multi-table special, which I've done the latter three times). I do enjoy PbP, but I like having just our game here and a D&D 5E module I'm playing on the Paizo forums to keep up with along with the occasional scenario to play every now and then in terms of keeping a healthy PbP balance.
But with online games, I discovered that a lot of the online game schedules mirrored the same times I would see before Covid-19 shook things up and that there were very few games across both editions of Pathfinder and Starfinder that were available on Mondays to play, and usually those games were late times. As I thought about this, I started to think that I couldn't be the only person who had the same kind of work schedule that kept me from being able to play more.
Earlier this week, I talked with Amber, the VL for our local lodge about something I wanted to do. I asked her if she would schedule #0-01: Silent Tide for online play on our lodge Warhorn page for a 12PM CST start this coming Monday and that I would advertise it on the Org Play Server for Discord. I wanted to see if there was interest out there for the first 1E OP scenario and 1E scenarios in general and if there were others who could play around that time, would be a decent time here in America and evening/night time for people across the Atlantic in Europe.
The plan was to see if people would sign up to play. If I didn't have the sign-ups, I'd try again and offer to GM a 2E scenario. However, the table filled up within a day and a half of my posting it on the Org Play Server. We might have a person or two to drop before then, but I'm thrilled at the response I've gotten. It's also given me the motivation to want to GM the Season 0 scenarios on most Mondays going forward and I wanted to let you guys know about this because (I think I have this right) three of you are currently on the other side of the pond and if you do VTT, it might be something you'd want to do especially if there are some scenarios you haven't played from that inaugural season.
I've GMed Silent Tide once before person-to-person and I've played it, but it's been awhile since I ran it and it's the first time I've ran a full scenario online via Roll20 and Discord, so I'm going to be learning as well as running and I'm sure there's going to be some glitches and hiccups on Monday, but I'm excited to get to GM for the first time since earlier this year.
Ok, that's it from me. Now how do I turn this thing off?
| GM Ladile |
Silent Tide is great! You did a great job running it for me back, uh...gosh, was it in 2019 or 2018? It all kinda runs together after a while...
ANYHOO, I think offering older scenarios via online play is a great idea. There are still a lot of players out there who seem interested in finishing out what they can of their PFS1 experience but whose local lodges have shifted their focus to just PFS2 and/or SFS.
I'm actually looking at offering something early-season myself, for my Gameday IX game.

Hmm ... who else is running Sewer Dragons on the boards at the moment? Why it's ...
"Hi, Lady Ladile and her players! Long time, no play." ;)
This is just a drive-by 'hello to all' and to say how much I like your kobolds vs adventurer title page, GM Ladile.
Consider it yoinked!
Hopefully I get a chance to game with some of you during GameDay IX

I'm wondering whether I can squeeze in GM'ing a short scenario before Gameday begins, or just to list a scenario for Gameday, for Effie's catch up xp seeing as I'll be bringing Janus to Six Seconds to Midnight.
I do a little VTT Parison. I think if you're on CST then you're 8 hours behind me. But it's a struggle to find the 4-5 hours at a time I need for a VTT game right now, I'm primary carer for a toddler with additional medical needs. I manage it maybe once every other month, with my old UK lodge having moved online. That's a Sunday afternoon and the inlaws can babysit.
Fitting in PbP posts is much easier :)

Understandable, Effie. Real life comes first and I'm glad you're able to do PbP if anything when it comes to Pathfinder or Starfinder. Normally, I'd run VTT during evening hours my time, but that's when most folks across the pond are usually sleeping. Also, some folks in the lodge have started a home campaign of Tyrant's Grasp on Monday nights and I'm playing in that. With Sundays, I have church in the morning and then Organized Play scenarios/dinner gatherings with the local lodge in the afternoon and evening, so Monday afternoons are about the one block of free time that I have for VTT, running or playing.

little reminiscing here: when I was a teenager, I had my group of friends to play RPG with (mostly Dungeons&Dragons first and second edition, but other games too, like the french original In Nomine Satanis/Magna Veritas, known as In Nomine in USA. Yeah, I'm old, I know.)
Point is... for a time, we played RPGs in a small room under a church.
No human sacrifice was involved, rest assured.

The irony of playing demons right under a church hasn't escaped us.^^
And these were only rumors, Rumble, no one ever managed to prove anything.
INS/MV was a fun and quick good game, wbut some games aren't made for PBF, unfortunatly.

Assuming the answer is "no," but I'd be a liar if I said I've never forgotten about my own character's capabilities: Does anyone have anything they can do to deal with this damn fog?
No hate GM, he's a crafty foe! Just making sure we aren't getting led around by the nose if we don't have to :P
