I use a sort of block initiative. Before combat I will roll initiative for everyone under a spoiler tag (you make check it for accuracy if you wish). Based on rolls I will post a list going from highest initiative to lowest. Characters who's names are in bold are up and may post an action. Once all bold names have taken action I will post results and list the next block of characters in bold. Once I get to the bottom of the list I start the next round back at the top of the list.
