A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-5.
Less than a decade ago, the Pathfinder Society established a lodge in Nirmathas, an act that infuriated the nation's expansionist rival Molthune. The latter outlawed the Society soon after, and ever since Pathfinders have relied on smugglers like the Varisian entrepreneur Guaril Karela to slip supplies past the Molthuni blockade for both the lodge and the Society's war-torn neighbors. Something has intercepted those shipments. Can the PCs uncover the culprit and save the Society's reputation in Nirmathas?
Content in "Trouble in Tamran" also ties into a special metaplot element from Pathfinder Society Special #6–98: Serpents Rise. Players who have completed that special event are encouraged to bring its Chronicle sheet when playing this adventure.

I still do not have complete information on what happens when you play a game and the GM quits. Are disposables still expended? Am I still unable to apply a GM chronicle that was earned while the character was in a scenario that didn't happen?

I would not expend any consumables.
As for applying a gm chronicle to a character locked in game, that is a grey area but i believe it was Compton who posted a non-binding opinion that you can attach a gm chronicle to the characters in play and apply the credit at the end of the game. I agree with that interpretation - even without the gm quitting part, you should apply it if you want to.

First of all, Don't criticize the other players - you don't like the situation, you are welcome to bring it up with me.
So let's recap the situation. A team of pathfinders, working for a smuggling kingpin who is the equivalent of a drug lord are confronting a low level dealer during a discreet investigation. After various inconsistent attempts at parlay - the guy gives up the info you need. You demand he buy from your drug lord instead of the rival gang he's buying the same merchandise from and he has no ability to comply, nor would he want to as the product is cheaper.
You've pushed him to the point of fearing for his life, and then acosted him in broad daylight. In a town that he is a local known merchant and you are a group of misfit foreigners... pathfinders no less in a town that has many people disliking pathfinders already as they are rumored to consort with the country they are at war with.
And you are wanting to arrest him on charges of criminal conspiracy.. which by the nature of the mission you also are guilty of? None of which you have evidence, and even if you did somehow convince the law enforcement to arrest him.. he can give you up on the same criminal charges.
Let me be clear - you can still get out of this. We are not in combat yet and there is no initiative... we are however in a timed situation now.

Does Prizm allow Zavra to study his notes and spell book? What does he have in his spell book that would be on the Alchemist list? By PFS rules, I can't pay you and you can't copy my spells, but I am happy to allow you the use of some alchemical items during this scenario.

That's one thing in Pathfinder I've never agreed with sorry I don't share my spell book. In the days of old, D&D Wizards guarded their books and they're like prized possessions
