Hi, folks.
Well, the best laid plans, and all that.
I am still alive, and I'm really trying to figure out how to get back onto a regular update schedule. In the past, I'd been relying on my lunch hour at work to do the lion's share of my daily gaming posts. Right now, I'm under some very serious time pressures for two projects that are seriously overdue, so I've been putting in 50-60 hour weeks, including working through my usual lunch break.
And, of course, this happened at exactly the same time that we'd started doing some renovations in our house. So, after putting in 10-hour days at work, I've been also trying to do 3-4 more hours of work into my house every day.
This hasn't left much time for gaming.
The home renovations are now at a point where we can live with them in the current state for the winter. I'll get back in the spring. Hopefully by then, my work schedule will have slowed to the normal level of insanity.
So for the next week or so, I'm going to try to get in updates catch-as-catch-can, and I hope to get this campaign back on track not long thereafter.
I am out of time for this afternoon, but I intend to finally update the Loot List, and let you all figure out who has what, and whether you want to do some shopping in town in the morning. Then, you can tell me if you want to return to Thistletop to possibly deal with Malfeshnakor and/or finish exploring the dungeon level... or of you want to do something else entirely! (You know there are ghouls stalking Pauper's Graves, for example.)
Anyway, thanks so much for bearing with me on this!

Glad you're still keeping on, mate! For my part, I've just been frustrated with the site, which got really screwy for me right after my illness cleared up (managed to get cellulitis in my strong arm from an insect bite, and could barely even use a mouse, let alone type!)

The US holiday of Thanksgiving is this week. I'm heading out tomorrow after work to spend several days at my in-laws' place. The wireless coverage from my carrier isn't great in their town, and I don't know the status of their wifi. Even if there is reliable service, I'm not sure what my posting schedule is going to be.
Long story short: I expect to be able to post tomorrow, but I'm not sure about my posting rate after that until next Monday (11/27).

My Christmas was wonderful, and New Year's Eve is shaping up to be a lot of fun, too. I'm tapping this update from my new Kindle Fire.
My December has been rather trying otherwise. I'll spare you the details, but some things beyond my control have been taking up practically all of my spare time.
I think that the worst is behind me now, and that I'll be able to return to regular posting after New Year's Day.

Yay! I finally updated Kyrian as a sleuth! He'd been ready for a while now, but the alias didn't reflect it, plus I had to figure out where he got that mithral chain. Took some time today to search our 56 page history and finally found that he picked it up in exchange in a deal involving the cold iron dagger. A long time ago. Which brought me to a conclusion. How much have we been actually tracking, not just as a plot, but as characters and our environment? Reason I ask is because we're finally at the end of book 1, and about to enter book 2, and we're 3 years into this. I know I've been talking recently about trying to get myself back into character because of my breaks from personal issues (which reminds me, I'm moving here in a few weeks fyi), but after going through 56 pages, it dawned on me that I've lost that track because I wasn't effectively keeping up on it. Now that I've figured out my error, I realized that since we've been back from Thistletop, we've hardly interacted with Sandpoint apart from the sheriff. Where do we stand with the rest of the town though, you know what I mean?
So in hoping to get a better view of things, here's what I'm picking up from Kyrian's history:
- Ven Vinder still hates him for shooting him in the leg.
- Shayliss Vinder is still (possibly?) a fling with him.
- He still owes Cerin about the horrid taste of the hangover "cure".
- He still doesn't like Aldern.
- He still hasn't quite come to terms with Orik (it's been what, 2 days?).
- Gwyn still has him curious about her stories, as well as trying to figure out if she's just a really big tease or is playing hard to get.
- He's still a jackwagon, one liner lovin, woman "lovin" man child that needs a constant head whacking to, despite the random pieces of intelligence and wisdom.
- And he's now got a pretty good sized character plot hook that should very well be discussed with Haladir at this point.
I'm sure there's still some more there that I'll actually have to fine comb, but either way, I think we should try and figure out what's going on with our characters and our environment so that things don't just get swept under the rug so to speak. Personally, I think selling some stuff from that massive list if possible would help in assisting that process, plus it'd probably help figure out where we financially stand as a party. Thoughts and opinions?

If you could shoot me a quick dialogue of what the contacts he's talked with off screen said (names as well if possible, so I can keep some better notes), that be awesome. As for everyone else, do we wanna take some time and compile notes? Time consuming, yeah, but I think it's worth it.
Honestly, Gwyn hasn't really had enough time to get to know anyone in Sandpoint yet. Her and Helena are best buds and we haven't really had a chance for you to get to know Gwyn all that well.
I still want Gwyn and Shalelu to have a talk about how she handles being around humans, unless I've forgotten that.
I do want Shayliss and Gwyn to cross paths. Depending on what's said and in what tone, it could get very interesting.
It could also get Vin to try and kill Gwyn, but that's another thing altogether.
Now that just makes things kinky lmao.

Gwyn can't use any of the bows. She's too noodly-armed.

Does Orik want to switch out his +1 Banded Mail +1 for the +1 Breastplate? He would still have AC:22, but his ACP would be only -2/-3 with shield and he would move at his normal 30ft speed.
