What clothes are you buying? Your starting outfit is free, per regular rules; and your courtier's outfit (and jewelry) are free, per AP rules.

We'll wait until I've read all six books before starting the AP, but will play #9-08: Birthright Betrayed to help fill the time. My guess is that we are still at least 2-4 weeks away from starting that, though.

PS: Valeria spends days at the tailor in preparation for her dress. Extensive measurements are taken so that the dress hugs her studded armor perfectly. Her handbag's exterior side is cleverly reinforced with a buckler. The final result is to her satisfaction.

The handbag would provide a +2 circumstance bonus to a Sleight of Hand check to conceal your buckler.

PS: I've played Birthright Betrayed. I can use a replay for it if need be. Are we playing that with a PFS character or with the WftC character for credit to an existing PFS PC?

Well, I got the Noble's outfit, as she's really trying to hold on to her remains of status. The rules said that the difference between courtier and noble outfit must be paid by the character.

It is a vision, rather than a visitation--that's a big difference. Write up the vision as part of your backstory, and if I like it, you're good to go.

Moving in with the girlfriend has changed life more than expected. I probably won't get much done until Ladile's game and the special finish.

At a practical level, that means we won't be running the PFS scenario first. I am still hoping to start shortly after the release of book six, though.

No problem. Been married for over 10,000 days so I totally understand how that living with someone can affect your availability.

It doesn't help that I'm 40, and this if the first time living with a partner. I'd gotten very settled in my bachelor ways!

If you haven't already, please ninja-dot the Gameplay thread with your actual character. Once everybody has done that, I will undot the player names.

I'm going to start looking through character profiles, hopefully one character every day or two. To start, here are a couple things that were wrong/missing on the template, and will probably need to be changed on all profiles:

• For your AC stats, include the breakdown in parentheses, i.e. "(+4 armor, +1 Dex, +1 size)".
  
• Attack bonuses should be after the weapon name. Magical enhancements go before.
  
• Please copy the text for all non-core and/or non-simple abilities into a "Special Abilities" section. Basically, if you don't have the exact details of an ability memorized--or think I might not--then its text should be in the profile. I've started including all abilities for my own characters; since I'm not actually printing out the character sheets anymore, why not include more text to be on the safe side?

The player can hide a campaign, but not leave it. Only the GM can do that part.

A couple of days ago, I messaged the GMs I'm playing with and let them know that I need to back out of all my player obligations. I have been completely neglecting my GM obligations to this game and you guys, so I was forced to admit that even playing 2-3 games is now beyond my bandwidth.

And then the floor disappeared today. The girlfriend and I moved in together ~6 weeks ago AND she changed jobs the following week. So she missed a paycheck while we had increased expenses, and I loaned her a credit card that I wasn't using. (Yes, you may all groan now.)

Well, I finally looked at the bill today. I thought she was using it for one week for a few necessary expenses, until her first paycheck from the new job. Instead, she maxed it out, and neither of us has the money to pay it off.

So on top of this rather large and unexpected financial burden, our relationship is going to need some serious energy and attention. And I do not have tons to spare, so other things have to go. As horrible as I feel about this, I need to put this game--and Pathfinder entirely--on indefinite hold.

Wow. Sorry about all those problems! I understand that you need to put things on hold. Just let me know when/if you're ready to start again. No hurry. RL takes precedence.

No, no. The whole point (for me) is to play with the people I like best as much as possible.

There will be some changes to creation rules, which may necessitate some character adjustments. Working on typing it all out now . . .

Absolutely. Hiyami and Blake might have completely different creation rules.

Same here. Blake's AP will probably be my first PF2 game.

I expect by the time I'm ready to start, PF2 will have an online PRD (in case anyone was worried about buying books).

I'm good for three AP's. When I get some time (likely Friday/this weekend), I'll go through my character again and see what needs to change.

@Tiber: Remind me, did you take an archetype that trades out the mount class features? I finally finished the AP a couple days ago, and there are not many opportunities for mounted combat.
