Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
As the rest speak with the woman an audible snort is heard from Brewslee. Looking over at him the tan man's head is rolled back, his eyes closed. He seems to be sleeping standing up as he mumbles to himself.

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20 Dang, close but no cigar. I don't suppose this is something that can be helped by aid another?
Kishara gives the woman a suspicious look but only says, "So the dragons are meant to be some kind of cover? How has he come to command such powerful creatures?"

![]() |

"Alright. You've given your information, and so you'll keep your life. But if what you say is true and you feel the fellow has gone too far here, you'll be inclined to do what you can to help us stop him, before things go yet further, yes? Before you go on your way, that is." She sheathes her swords and holds one hand out expectantly with the other on her hip.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Kish is attempting to make a request for aid in the form of potions, items, or maybe even buff spells if the woman has such things to give.

![]() |

Sense Motive: 1d20 ⇒ 10
Realizing they plan to interrogate the woman, the wizard applies a spell to the questions.
"Waiting what thing out? How long do you expect you will be waiting? What else is in Zythrustianax's flights? Are their others of your faith in this?" her fingers spark as her feathers go red. "And be fast about it." Intimidate: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19.
Aikio agrees with Sickly' these questions are just slowing as much as the fight did.

![]() |

And onwards!
By collaborative across tables, does that mean everyone's assisting everyone else? Sickly can do strength checks to bash them open, or just use his adamantine hammer, or he can assist in disable device checks.
And a climb skill! Can we just climb over it? How hard does it look?

![]() |

"I can offer a knock with a little bit of time or I can grow wings and fly. Beyond that all I can offer is fire or damage for bashing."
It was seek thoughts, one of my 3rd level spells. Anything useful? Climbing may not help everyone get through.
"We can get some rope up there easily enough," the tengu offers.

![]() |

Kishara quickly sorts through her bag and pulls out two bundles. One a 50 ft rope and the smaller one 50 ft of twine. Then she fishes a grappling arrow out of her quiver and hands it to Auric as he seems the best with a bow. "Here, see what you can do with that and I'll try the lock."
Then she pulls out her thieves tools and sets to work quickly.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27
Text says this is collabarative so maybe that will work better as an Aid Another to someone else?

![]() |

I think aid anothers is how it will be determined. Just how many do what at each table, and see if we reach some goal amount?
Imagine it will probably be trying to burst it open, given everyone can help on that, and only a smaller subset can attempt the disable
Sickly shies away from the mass of Pathfinders trying to burst open the gates That's how pathogens get spread! and instead goes to help Kishara.
Disable Device: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 2 = 22

![]() |

"I can help with the locks as well."
Disable Device, heroism: 1d20 + 22 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 22 + 2 = 42
Modifier details: 6 ranks +3 class +1 trait +5 dex +3 clever explorer +2 shard of pride +2 tools +2 heroism = +24

![]() |

Oh boy, that's a helluva nice disable roll! Sickly and I can boost that up to a 46. Or I guess we can provide 3 aids to someone at the higher tables?

![]() |

Most likely the collective tables need to get X successes, but that is based on later shared multi-table events, and this might be before that mechanic was introduced.
With fast study and one minute I should be able to cast knock. I don't know how much time happens. It may also not have any actual bonus, but if it does I would like to send it to a lower tier table as it looks like we won't need it here.
Is it one option for the whole table? If the above isn't possible, and we can do different actions. I will work on the ropes for climbing route and we can open (or attempt to) it from the other side.

![]() |

"I may depend too much on my sorcerous ways!"
"Knock opens stuck, barred, or locked doors, as well as..." On a collaborative encounter such as this, it is what I can offer (if I have the time to prepare it :). caster level check: 1d20 + 6 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 6 + 10 = 23 (in case I do)

Shifty |

Some nice rolls there :)

OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT
***************
One group of more mechanically minded pathfinders move to the locking mechanism and start tinkering with it aided by a liberal application of grease, a number of ropes are thrown to the top and people begin clambering up the walls. In another location, another group try brute force and trying to smash their way through. A stone bridge appears out of nowhere, then the flap of wings as a giant roc arrives to pluck people up and drop them on the far side - allowing them to form a defensive perimeter….
Within a minute, the outer gates give way to the small army of ninety highly motivated Pathfinders and their sheer brute force, magic, and mechanical knowledge.
GM take over :)

![]() |

Whoo hoo!
"Alright! Good job guys!" Kish grins and slaps her fellow lock disablers heartily on the back. Then she quickly gathers up her items and gets ready to move onward.

![]() |

Heh, I imagined it more as disassembling the gate then trying to pick a broken lock. Perhaps knocking out some hinge pins or the like =)
Wonder what the DC was.
Sickly doesn't seem that excited, as the gate is finally bypassed. Instead he seems fixated on some rust smears on his hands, muttering to himself something about tetanus.

![]() |

Brewslee wakes up as gate crashes to the ground. He raises a flask high into the air. Yesh good job all! Letsh clear thish out so we can get back to important thingsh.... like drinking!

GM FedoraFerret |
Defending Skyreach, a valiant group of Pathfinders line the towers and stations along the fortress’s exterior. On the grounds in front, a large black dragon lies in a crumpled heap, its corpse riddled with arrows and leaking acid and ichor.
As you pass by Skyreach, you come across a group of goblins literally stumbling over each other, trying to get out of here as quickly as they can. When they see you, though, they panic and go into an attack. The leaders are slower to react, but their underlings quickly pull out shortbows and fire a barrage of arrows, mostly targeted at Brewslee but one errant one striking Ariana.
Brewslee takes 10 damage, Ariana takes 3. Turn order is goblins->Aikio->Ariana->goblin leaders->Kishara->Brewslee->Auric->Sickly

![]() |

Ariana moves, and attacks the goblin in front of her with a powerful attack. "Yeck more goblins.

GM FedoraFerret |
It has not, so Ariana is fine. The goblins, however...
Aikio's fireball incinerates most of the goblins, leaving only one of the mooks, face scorched, and both leaders, barely on their feet. The rest, there's no trace left.
The two leaders stop, look at each other, then take off in different directions, screaming obscenities in Goblin as they run.
Aaaaand combat over.
“Come quickly!” a voice from the shadows calls out. Wedged into one of Skyreach’s darkened doorways is the enigmatic Pathfinder, Osprey. He’s paler than usual, several arrows pierce his skin, and his hands are smeared with blood. “I have little time to speak; however, I must now burden you with a suspicion that is now a reality.” Lowering his voice to a soft hiss he whispers, “The Shadow Lodge is real.”

![]() |

"Shiny!" the tengu admires her work as her feathers lose the red tint.
We will need to count Ariana's fire reservoir. She also should add d6 of fire to melee attacks.
Upon seeing the wounded pathfinder she pulls out her wand and helps to close some of his wounds.
"Shadow Lodge you say? her eyes widening in worry. "How can we help?"

![]() |

@Aikio Do I need to do the reflex save to see if my fire reservoir is reduced by that amount? This is the first time I've been buffed with anything like this.
Ariana follow Sickly keeping her sword drawn.

![]() |

"Mausoleum. Check. Any idea what he might be after? Do you need more help? Where will you be?" though the questions seem to rush out, the wizard is mindful of the wounded Pathfinder's health.
Taking the offered aid Aikio the Red then follows the coughing dwarf. As she moves she takes a closer look at the deck of cards. "Shiny," she almost smiles, but she has no lips so it doesn't translate quite correctly.
?skill check?: 1d20 ⇒ 8 Appraise +9?, Perception +7?, Spellcraft +14?, most Knowledges +8? (no geography or nature)

"My last mission was to Galt. As a dead mage. I nearly died there too. Suppose we will run into undead there? Anyone have special strategies against them if we do?" The wizard consults a book she is composing called "Thingstoddard@uidaho.edu That Burn" and snaps her fingers and a flame appears. Her strategies are the same.
What can we remember of the mausoleum? Is the deck full?

![]() |

"Here, let me warm that for you," the tengu nods at the latte and snaps her fingers for a flame.

Shifty |

OK, Ariana got back from Starstonebucks and your lattes are finished

KN (arcana): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23 How big? SR likely? is this another multi-table encounter (can we aid other tables)?
"Wow, because three our size weren't enough," the tengu squawks. She takes a mental inventory of her options and whispers, "I only have a few offensive spells left, but those should work like hitting the broad side of a barn v touch. It is probably really dangerous, but if you think you can damage it I am willing to attempt to kill the thing and wand some healing while you do. I can get three of us invisible though, if getting to the mausoleum sooner rather than later is preferred, and we have the magic Osprey gave us."
"Don't. Line. Up," she warns again.
For 'creative solutions' we can try and distract it or pull a broken wing gambit with illusions/invisibility. Thoughts? My vote is 1/4 attack, 3/4 stealth but even that 1/4 relies heavily on the rest of you being able to deal excessive amounts of damage.
"hmmm... does invisible even matter to a dragon?" Aikio tries to remember the story of a lone hobbit halfling robbing a dragon.

![]() |

Ariana looks at the dragon perched atop the mausoleum. "I can probably hit it, but not lots of damage each hit. If we all work together with the other pathfinders we might be able to bring it down."
Looks like ranged damage would be the best bet if it's sitting on top of the building.
