nothing more to ask. I will head to the others if i know where they went, otherwise I would head to RHC and see if i could check myself in to psych.
Johnathan Eli Holbrook |
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Johnathan shows his RHC ID. "Constable Holbrook. This is Constable Escheus. I'm using a tracking spell to follow a trail of energy and it lead right here by these powder burns. We would appreciate any information that could help us in our investigation," he smiles apologetically.

"therein lies the issue. People call me by the Professor's name, i carry his belongings, i see his skin on my hands but i am clearly Sarya."

I'm sorry... I'm really confused why we're at the governor's place. Weren't we going to meet with the others at the university, or have they already changed locations and we're playing catch up?

"Our current state was gained in service to Flint. Flint can help return us to fighting shape so we can continue to serve." Asher says, trying to control the growl in his voice as the governor hedges.
"We'll take what we can get WHEN we can get it, and not a moment later. Duty calls, governor, and Flint will be best served with us healed and healthy. You can bill ACI Stover Delft at the RHC HQ."
'And if the RHC can't cover the costs, Delft can charge us for serving...' - he thinks, grimly.

Johnathan + Falko
Johnathan Eli Holbrook |
Johnathan is exceptionally diplomatic and charming today, like an entirely different Johnathan surfaced just for this occasion. He instantly bonds with each person he questions.
He smiles to Falko, then speaks in a slightly higher voice... "Whence the birds take flight across billowing clouds. Trees stretching towards them between the planes. I wonder where it's going, our wayward shell," then walks off in the direction of the Port Authority.
Once there, he presents his RHC badge. "We need to see the ship manifests from yesterday up to the present," he asks, with authority and bluntness.

Falko Escheus |
Falko is all smiles with the dockers, finding energy in their good will and in his friend's lifting demeanour. He clasps some of them on the shoulder and laughs with them.
As they tell of a ship, he frowns, then curses: "A ship! Of course! The map John! The map! She's going to that island!"

I think I probably meant to say Risur instead of Flint. I keep getting those two mixed. No worries.
As for the caster. Technically Angus could attempt to cast it himself I think, but with his lower class level there is a chance for mishap which should probably be avoided, but maybe a fall-back idea of getting a caster is overly difficult?
Would any faction be more likely to have an appropriately powerful divine caster? Clergy maybe?
Falko Escheus |
Falko asks the foreman: "In your opinion, how long will that ship take to reach its destination?" then turns to Johnathan.
"Yes, and quickly. I'm tired of being one step behind. Now that we know where this thing is heading, I say we try for the fastest mean of transport the RHC can muster. You hold Delft down while I sweet-talk him into submission!" Falko replies to his friend with a wink as he tries to find a hackney.
LeMond Asher |
Asher's vote would be to request someone hopefully trustworthy from Risur/RHC.
Angus, looks like only one of us will get a scroll to start with. How do you want to handle who gets the first cast? I'd be up for you taking it, but I'm pretty nervous about Asher's low HP

i missed the conclusion to my thing after i made a save roll?
Falko Escheus |
@ Chretien, you feel a little more like yourself but Sarya comes up only about 5% of the time.
@Falko, you would need to check in with Delft to get a ship. She does have an 18 or so headstart. You could go back to Professor Weber to get an idea or something.
Falko never got an answer to his question. That might help him decide whether to try and get a transport tonight or tomorrow.
Falko Escheus |
Falko is of the opinion that the group should get Delft to charter the fastest ship in the best of time. My unanswered question is how long should the journey take for her ship. If Xambria has an 18-hour head start on a 19-hour journey, then there is little to do but arrive afterwards...
Are we all back together?
Angus McCormick |
we should indeed regroup at some point during the day/afternoon/evening. in order to get our info around. And yes DM we would indeed like to do the scrolls if possible. here are the rolls in advance
Caster Level check DC 7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 for Lemond
Caster Level check DC 7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 for Angus
Falko Escheus |
Once Falko joins with his colleagues, he tells them of missing Xambria and of the map. "She- It took a ship. We know where it's going. A few days from here. Now, she has a bead start, but if we can requisition a fast ship, may be we can get there before it! We need to gang up on Delft if we wish to get a ship fast. What do you say?" he asks, visibly excited.
Cretien Dufrene |
"Excellent." the Professor says, visibly feeling better after a night of true rest.
ACI Stover Delft AKA GM |
Lemond and Angus can eliminate one of their negative levels and are cured of the mental illnesses they have been suffering from since the ziggurat.
It is late afternoon, when you all meet up back at HQ and you knock on Delft's office door and he says, "Come in."
Standing inside is Delft wearing a uniform remniscient of the Yerasol War adjusting the sash of a beautiful red headed woman in her mid-forties also wearing a costume from the period. He then says, "Asher, you should be preparing for this evening, no?"
He then stops helping the woman and spits a load of chaw into the spittoon and says, "This is my wife, Konstanze Delft."
