The two guards look down and away and say, "You do know our boss is also your boss and she told us not to mention this to anyone and so this needs to stay between us, please my family needs this job. Here is what happened this pretty looking conservative lady with red hair came to call last night and she asked to come in and of course we told her that Inspectress Saxby was not in. The woman did not care and growled at us like an animal and attacked my colleague there with a pick and then some sort of ethereal whip like thing came at my head. I fired a shot and then we subdued her, our matron came home, looked her over and let let her go. As I recall, she went that way" and points in a northerly direction.

I have been the governor of FLint since King Kelland appointed me this title. I was with the other king when we stopped the witches on Cauldron Hill, so do not lecture me on service. Be that as it may, I am using Angus' rolls before hereI can however have one scroll sent to RHC HQ but the city needs to be reimbursed. Good Day!"

Two large security guards escort you out of the mansion.

Johnathan + Falko

Spoiler:
You start canvassing the Docks asking about a woman fitting the description and a few dock workers, a couple of them recognize Falko and gladly tell you they saw her here last night and that she left on a ship but they aren't sure which one. They do suggest that you check with the lists of the Port Authority to get the manifests.

Johnathan is exceptionally diplomatic and charming today, like an entirely different Johnathan surfaced just for this occasion. He instantly bonds with each person he questions.

He smiles to Falko, then speaks in a slightly higher voice... "Whence the birds take flight across billowing clouds. Trees stretching towards them between the planes. I wonder where it's going, our wayward shell," then walks off in the direction of the Port Authority.

Once there, he presents his RHC badge. "We need to see the ship manifests from yesterday up to the present," he asks, with authority and bluntness.

Falko is all smiles with the dockers, finding energy in their good will and in his friend's lifting demeanour. He clasps some of them on the shoulder and laughs with them.

As they tell of a ship, he frowns, then curses: "A ship! Of course! The map John! The map! She's going to that island!"

The rest

Spoiler:
The port authority foreman goes through the manifest and cross checks with the possible time of departure and says, "Yes the only ship to leave last night was called the Dagger heading towards... hrmmm let me check.... Seobriga. That's it. Yup."

AA

Spoiler:
Where did you want to request the caster from?

Claude Waithe M Human Sorcerer (6) AC 15+2/14t/13+2ff, HP 53/53, Fort+6, Ref+5, Will+6, Init+7, Perc+4

Spoiler:
Johnathan turns to Falko. "I suppose that's our next stop. Shall we return to the others?"

AA:

I think I probably meant to say Risur instead of Flint. I keep getting those two mixed. No worries.
As for the caster. Technically Angus could attempt to cast it himself I think, but with his lower class level there is a chance for mishap which should probably be avoided, but maybe a fall-back idea of getting a caster is overly difficult?
Would any faction be more likely to have an appropriately powerful divine caster? Clergy maybe?

Shot Putter Funkmeister

AA

Spoiler:
You have requested a scroll from Cippriano, who is a member of the Clergy in Flint

The Rest:

Falko asks the foreman: "In your opinion, how long will that ship take to reach its destination?" then turns to Johnathan.

"Yes, and quickly. I'm tired of being one step behind. Now that we know where this thing is heading, I say we try for the fastest mean of transport the RHC can muster. You hold Delft down while I sweet-talk him into submission!" Falko replies to his friend with a wink as he tries to find a hackney.

AA:

Asher's vote would be to request someone hopefully trustworthy from Risur/RHC.
Angus, looks like only one of us will get a scroll to start with. How do you want to handle who gets the first cast? I'd be up for you taking it, but I'm pretty nervous about Asher's low HP

Stephan DeWir (Black Market Arms Dealer) Hp 53/53 AC 25 (+7 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4)

AA:
Sure the first one is for you Lemond. And no need to goo look for a caster Agnus will do it

Shot Putter Funkmeister

AA

Spoiler:
Not to be negative, but there is a very high probability that the spell will be unsuccessful, if Angus attempts it. 3000 gp is not cheap, I would hate for you to have spent all of this time trying to get these two scroll and then have them fail.

Stephan DeWir (Black Market Arms Dealer) Hp 53/53 AC 25 (+7 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4)

AA:
not that much actually DM. Angus has to make a caster level check (DC = scroll's caster level + 1 [so here a DC8] Angus would succed on a roll of 4+) to cast the spell successfully. If Angus fails, he must make a DC 5 Wisdom check to avoid a scroll mishap. If the check is succefull the scroll isn't burned. (and so he can make others attemps)

Shot Putter Funkmeister

I guess we can skip to evening, Asher and Falko have appointments and Angus can also do one thing and John and Chretien. You can try to get info on other things. What do you want to do?

Tiefling map Armiger (Machinehead) 9/ Aristocrat 1 // AC 26/22/15 / HP 62/84 / F +10 R +11 W +9 / Init. +3 / Perc. +15 / Sense Motive +13

i missed the conclusion to my thing after i made a save roll?

I'm willing to forego tonight's meeting if I think we can arrive before her.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

@ Chretien, you feel a little more like yourself but Sarya comes up only about 5% of the time.
@Falko, you would need to check in with Delft to get a ship. She does have an 18 or so headstart. You could go back to Professor Weber to get an idea or something.

At some point I'd like to ask Delft who/what the Ragman is, and if it is anything we should be alert for.

Falko never got an answer to his question. That might help him decide whether to try and get a transport tonight or tomorrow.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

I meant 18 hours head start. Plus you would need to charter a ship or get one from the RHC.

Shot Putter Funkmeister

It is late afternoon now, so what does everyone want to do? Angus you and Asher can do the scrolls if you want.

Falko is of the opinion that the group should get Delft to charter the fastest ship in the best of time. My unanswered question is how long should the journey take for her ship. If Xambria has an 18-hour head start on a 19-hour journey, then there is little to do but arrive afterwards...

Are we all back together?

Stephan DeWir (Black Market Arms Dealer) Hp 53/53 AC 25 (+7 Perc; +1 Init; Fort +2, Ref +3, Will +4)

we should indeed regroup at some point during the day/afternoon/evening. in order to get our info around. And yes DM we would indeed like to do the scrolls if possible. here are the rolls in advance

Caster Level check DC 7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 for Lemond
Caster Level check DC 7: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 for Angus

Shot Putter Funkmeister

It should take a few days by ship. Of course you need a crew.

Once Falko joins with his colleagues, he tells them of missing Xambria and of the map. "She- It took a ship. We know where it's going. A few days from here. Now, she has a bead start, but if we can requisition a fast ship, may be we can get there before it! We need to gang up on Delft if we wish to get a ship fast. What do you say?" he asks, visibly excited.

Tiefling map Armiger (Machinehead) 9/ Aristocrat 1 // AC 26/22/15 / HP 62/84 / F +10 R +11 W +9 / Init. +3 / Perc. +15 / Sense Motive +13

"Excellent." the Professor says, visibly feeling better after a night of true rest.

"Hello Cretien," Johnathan says quietly, smiling. "Let's see Delft."

Lemond and Angus can eliminate one of their negative levels and are cured of the mental illnesses they have been suffering from since the ziggurat.

It is late afternoon, when you all meet up back at HQ and you knock on Delft's office door and he says, "Come in."

Standing inside is Delft wearing a uniform remniscient of the Yerasol War adjusting the sash of a beautiful red headed woman in her mid-forties also wearing a costume from the period. He then says, "Asher, you should be preparing for this evening, no?"

He then stops helping the woman and spits a load of chaw into the spittoon and says, "This is my wife, Konstanze Delft."

Knowledge History DC 15

Spoiler:
Delft and his wife are dressed in the clothes that King Kelland II and his wife Jenfipera wore after the defeating the Cauldron Hill witches. DC20 The costumes are from different time periods, although the ACI's is the correct time period, his wife's costume matches more that of King Kelland I which is 150 years earlier.

Claude Waithe M Human Sorcerer (6) AC 15+2/14t/13+2ff, HP 53/53, Fort+6, Ref+5, Will+6, Init+7, Perc+4
