The Veteran's Vault: MAP

Surrounded by cultists Gareth makes a desperate move. Reaching out the ranger grabs the priest in front of him by the collar of his robes and pulls him forward. There priest and herald flanking Gareth take advantage of his lowered defenses and both are able to sink their blades deep into the rangers side. Severely wounded Gareth drops his bow and reaches for his sword, as he steps back into the secret door. The second priest is too fast though and with a quick thrust catches the ranger just under the arm. With a cry of anger and pain Gareth falls to the floor at the priest’s feet.
Seeing his companion fall Deschain rushes forward, pushing past friend and foe the rogue makes his way over to the downed ranger. Easily darting around the clumsy swings of the priest Deschain now stands, blades drawn, over Gareth’s body.
The cultist cheers of triumph quickly die as the rogue moves in quickly to take the place of their vanquished foe. Cursing in rage the Herald pushed the priest in front of him forward back into the hallway intersection. All three cultists lash out at Deschain with their blades, the Herald and one Priest having to attack around the corner. Ready of the attacks Deschain turns the blades aside just as Sillithid steps forward, taking his masters space. The monster lashes out at the priest in the intersection but even with the man distracted it is unable to land a solid blow.
Charging around the corner to see what all the commotion is about Steve finds that the tables have been turned on him. Now he is stuck in the back of the fight looking over everyone’s shoulders hoping to find an opening.

Gareth, I tried to get a hold of you to have you change your action but never heard back. Even if you had stayed put though your chances of surviving would have been low. According to my math the three sneak attacks and the one attack from last round adds up to 40hp of damage, that should put you at -4 right? Please make a stabilization check.
Deschain: You said you wanted to move forward… Hope this is ok spot for you, you get sneak attacks and might just be in the right place to save Gareth’s life.

Grand Lodge

Male Human Fighter 3

Steve turns the corner to see Gareth down and Deschain closed off by cultists.

Deschain, you can do this! We're right here! Lis, get that creature back. I need in!

Steve waits for the opportunity before rushing in, swinging his shield.

Attack:

AC: 23

Shield Bash
Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Alright, this is Steve patiently waiting to kill things! Once he gets the chance, he'll move to where Silly was (N6) and flank with Deschain. Flank is not counted in the numbers

Grand Lodge

Male Human Ranger - 4

I actually have 40 HP

Level 1: 10 base + 2 CON + 1 Favored Class = 13
Level 2: +6 base +2 CON + 1 Favored Class = 22
Level 3: +6 base +2 CON + 1 Favored Class = 31
Level 4: +6 base +2 CON + 1 Favored Class = 40

So I guess I am staggered. Do I still make it to the spot? Sorry about not responding to the change of action. I didn't see it. Did you email me?

The Veteran's Vault: MAP

Forgot about Favored Class. I'll put you in the square right behind Deschain so you can heal yourself up.
I emailed and tried to message you.

Sczarni

Male Human Rogue/2

Deschain throws back his hood and smiles.

Now it's time to play!

Shifting his stance Deschain slashes out at the first priest between him and his ally with both swords.

Full Attack:

Damage w/ Sneak Attack:1d6 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + (3) + 1 = 10

Grand Lodge

Male Human Ranger - 4

Okay. In that case, I'll pull out my wand as a move action and use it as a standard. I know that would normally make me fall unconscious, but the healing covers me for that, right?

Managing to escape the predicament, but admittedly bloodied, Gareth pulls out his wand, heals himself, and begins to regroup.

Wand of Cure Light Wounds:

The Veteran's Vault: MAP

Barely standing, Gareth digs into his pouch, removes a wand and begins to heal himself. Meanwhile Deschain stands guard in front of the ranger, slashing at the grey robed priest. Though distracted by enemies on both side the priest is able to dodge the rogue’s swords and counterattacks with his own blade and shield. From around their corners the Herald and the other priest lash out at Deschain with their rapiers. While able to deflect the priest sword with his own Deschain is dodge the shield and it hits him hard in the shoulder. This created enough of an opening for the second priest land a blow with his sword which leaves a deep cut in Deshiains left side. Luckily the Heralds blade comes up just short of the now wounded rogue.
With Steve behind her Lisbeth moves back calling her Sillithid with her. The monster swings wildly at the priest he facing, tough unable to land a blow, before dutifully stepping back. With an opening Steve charges forward and with a quick sweep of his shield catches the priest at the intersection in the small of his back sending him to the floor. As Steve rejoins the fray and it looks like the fight is almost won Lisbeth is about to take a deep breath of relief when she feels hot breath on her neck and a hash voice whispers in her ear Hello pretty!
Before she can call for help Lisbeth feels a sharp pain in her back as the Herald, Steve was fighting before, materializes at the rear of the party and drives his sword into the summoner.

Scarab Sages

Female Human Summoner 3

Lisbeth lets her shoulders slump, drawing in a deep breath of relief. She is just about to rally Silithid for a final push when she hears the Herald's word. Unable to react in time, she cries out in pain as the sharp blade pierces through her robes. Almost immediately, Silithid whirls around, stepping in front of his master to face her attacker head on.

Silithid and Lisbeth will switch places. Silithid full attacks the Herald while Lisbeth uses a wand of cure light (DC20?) to heal herself

That's a bit better. One more should do the trick.

Gareth gives himself one more charge of the wand before stowing the item and loading his bow.

Wand of Cure Light Wounds:

Matt, if I'm still standing after they take their next attack on me, I'm probably going to be just barely up so if Gareth is able to we might need to switch places with a 5 ft step so that I can do some healing of my own
