I'm very excited to see what this particular game is going to be like. I just think we're going to have a really great group that have fun.

As for a new dynamic, well, it will be interesting. I look forward to really figuring out Mikael's personality, and trying to avoid having him play too much like Spoony. (I'm thinking more ponce and less reason.)
I think it'll be really funny if he turns out to be a non-Spoony Spoony. Maybe he should Fork or Knife, instead?
I'm still figuring out Ausk's personality and how to go with his low Wisdom score. I think he's very trusting that pirates will act the way sailors and people "up North" have, and when theyre not, he will be upset.
Amazingly, Horatio isn't the spooniest bard I've ever seen. I once had the pleasure of running a table through The Confirmation, and one of the lucky PCs was Charles Mustard. He was a bard with 20 charisma, 8 strength, +15 to diplomacy at 1st level. He wore a tux, no armour, and had a toy piano as his instrument of choice. He had me in stitches the whole session, and I'm disappointed the guy never came to another table.
But depending on how things turn out, Mik could well be Spoony v2.0. I try to make my characters distinct, but dammit, some of them are too much fun.

Ok, sorry I've been silent here for a couple days. My wife is pregnant and my time had dwindled a bit. Good news is I have one module I'm running ending now and two others ending relatively soon so my number of games I'm responsible for will go down to 3. I plan to have an update done in here in the morning (or around 9 hours from now).

The hell? The discussion thread didn't update for me at all. Only opened it up on a whim, and found out I'd missed some pretty big news from last gorram month! Looks like some congratulations are in order, belated as they may be!
My availability through the weekend will be spotty. I'll still be checking in but there may be gaps.
I'm going to be completely transparent for a minute here, because when I signed up for this game, I made a commitment to sick it out. So, way I see it, you guys deserve to know what's going on.
My life isn't going so well at the moment. My depression has been worsening due to a series of circumstances, most of which revolve around my family. My stepfather and stepsister are nearly impossible to peacefully coexist with, and it's only gotten worse over the last few months.
Last week, my mother and stepfather got into an argument so bad and so hostile, I didn't feel safe. I walked out, saying I was going to see a friend for a few hours, and m mother followed me out. "Come back, and pack what you need for a week. We'll go stay somewhere else for a while."
So, well, we did. We were in motels for a while, and now I'm staying with my fiancé. I don't know yet whether I'll be going home soon, or just packing up my things and moving in here. It puts me in a pretty tight spot, and I don't know if it will get better.
Am I safe/alright? Safe, yes. Alright, not really.
Am I still going to play? Yes, if you'll still have me. I signed up with the intention of sticking this out, and I don't intend to let a rough patch stop me completely. I might just be sporadic for a while. I hope you understand, and I'll try to get an in-character post later today.
Oh, you're always welcome. Absolutely welcome in my book. Life sounds like it's a rough patch right now, but you will make it through. I promise, you will make it through.
