Oooh! Oooh! I could go down saving an ally from deadly harm! Then they can cry, everyone can mourn me, it'll be a tender RP-focused moment... then they can dump me unceremoniously over the side of the ship and get back to pillaging! :D

Sorry I've been silent. My job has been working me to the bone, my back has not improved, and my doctor is unwilling to do anything but routine blood tests and give me a half hearted "hope you're feeling better; go see your specialist or call us back if you're not." Right now, my head is not in any sort of positive place, and I'm just having to temporarily take a breather. Sorry for slowing things down.

I might be able to eventually, but a) I'm having a great time playing, and b) I still owe people Iron Gods >.>
You do! ;) I want to play my arcanist with the sentient tumor.

Psionics are a hard 'maybe' at this stage. Mainly because I'd need to reread the AP to see if there'd be any funky interactions with established challenges and obstacles - I don't want to bring in things that completely invalidate existing parts of the adventure.
At any rate, this is stuff that can wait for me to get my s$*$ together :P

Hey guys I'm still here. These last few months have been the craziest that I can recall. Just when I thought I was going to get back to normal my father had a heart attack and things are chaotic once again. Anyway, just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and attempting to once again to return to normal posting soon :/

Shameless promotion:
If you aren't using This guy's Browser extension, you should probably go get it. It's fantastic.

The next two weeks my presence will be diminished due a crazy schedule as I ramp up towards my annual BocceFest event. I'll be checking in when I can, I'm not going away. I appreciate your patience and understanding!

I've had a rather rough few weeks. My home situation is growing ever more hostile due to a particular family member moving back in, and I've found out that I won't have my job much longer due to there being no funding for it. So I'm looking for a job and a house, both of which are pretty unattainable right now - I can't get a home loan because I have no reliable income, and I can't get a job because I'm inexperienced in everything that's hiring. I've been stressed to high heaven at work, and when I get home, I've wanted to do nothing but sleep.
I'm still around, but I'm pretty absent right now, and trying to get my life back on track, and to not post when I'm feeling so depressed (which is pretty frequently). Please be patient with me. I'm trying to work my way back into everything.

Ok. Announcement time. I'm just not feeling this. And we have little to no activity.
Firstly, who's here still?
Secondly, who would like first spots in a module. I have come to the realization that I am a module man, and this AP thing just doesn't light my fire like it used to. This isn't your fault, more of a need for me to be honest with youall.
I'm open to suggestions on where to go from here, but this stagnation cannot stand, man.
GM Choon
Exactly. That is why in proposing a switch. I have a wide variety of modules at almost every level available to me. Youall could use these characters or switch entirely. I plan on allowing psionics, Path of War, even the Multi-Class Archetypes, if you want. Fast, Loose, and fun.

I have an idea but it may sound kind of weird.
I was looking over the occult stuff you know, this stuff...
anyway I was talking to real live human last night (yest I do know some of them) and we discovered that the Kineticist is a lot like benders.
so we could all be a bender, I mean Kineticist, in the world of Avatar.
just a thought really..
but I have noticed that many AP's really need lots of extra stuff from the DM to keep the interest up. the base AP as written are lacking somewhat. there is not lots of motivating factors built in and the GM really has to put that in.
GM Choon
It's true. AP's are really made for table games. Normally I can keep an ap going through one book at least, but this one was just not happening.
That bender thing could work. It'd be homebrew, so I'd have a lot more control. What do the rest of you think?
(I have seen Avatar and Korra, so I am pretty solid on the world)
Mikael de Triana
I'll admit, I'll be glad to see this go. I was looking forward to Mickey finally getting to slip the girls in Scourge's kidneys. (And perhaps an Iron Chef-style cook-off at some point.) That said, you're right - activity has slowed, and if you're just not feeling it, then there isn't much point.
If we switch to a module, I don't know whether I'd continue playing Mickey or not. I'll admit I'm not sold on the "all kineticists" idea, having not watched Avatar at all. But I do have a lot of character ideas I'd like to test-run...

That's one of the advantages of modules. They only last a few months on pbp whereas AP's take Years. We can try out all those fun classes (like the Bend...Kinetecist).
I'll just go ahead and roll a few modules and see what you think.
random modules: 3d30 ⇒ (29, 18, 5) = 52
- Emerald Spire Supersungeon. Kinda defeats our purpose, I think, but here it is.
- Broken Chains (lvl 6)
- City of golden death (lvl 5)
Alternatively, youall give me what you want to play, and I'll choose a module.
Luke Kawaii Caine
emerald spire is lots of work.. I am Dming it now for table-top.
and we have just reached level 10 and already have had at least 3 TPK's (had to fudge the rolls to survive)
We played the enemies exactly as written.
don't know anything about the other two
I also have a huge amount of 3.0 & 3.5 mods on pdf from various publishers. I may even have a few 1st and 2nd edition mods on PDF as well
GM Choon
Ok, I've taken an honest look at my time and I don't think my life can handle a homebrew. It'll have to be a module if I want to keep my life in anything resembling a balance.
So, here's what I got. Let me know if you have a preference.
