Kulik

KULIK declines the proffered smoke but does not leave the gathered group of Pathfinders. He appears thoughtful, and gradually speaks aloud, though perhaps to no one in particular. KULIK wonder, should Erin person have let Markus person go? Deshna teach freedom but teach doing right alsho. Like fetching Zarta person...maybe finish not enough to ignore path to get there.

Regardless of titillating conversation held, the trip is otherwise uneventful aside from Sascha talking to Cledwyn about getting her share of her group's treasure out of the sewers of Korvosa. He say's he'll get a team together whenever he can.
Before entering Korvosa, Sascha bids you all farewell and gives her thanks.
Afterwards, the paracountess is whisked away by a team of Pathfinder grunts for immediate (and likely expensive) medial treatment in the Asmoedan temple in Korvosa and the Venture Captain invites you all for a celebratory drink at the Shoreline Drinkhall. His treat!
---
At the bar, he's given a missive (that he passes along, if nobody joins him.) The venture-captain reveals that according to the Society’s most recent intelligence, Chelish Queen Abrogail II has placed a bounty on the head of Tancred Desimire. It’s unclear whether his crime prompted this or if he angered the queen in another way.
---
Within a week, each of you receive a personalized letter from the paracountess mentioning details of his or her character that the paracountess wouldn’t be expected to know. I wrote letters for all my local players, since I've pretty much run every game they've ever played. I, unfortunately, do no know enough about your characters to do the same for you. It's imagination time for you guys on that. In addition to her profuse thanks and traditional innuendo, the letters also offers the PCs a reward in thanks for their efforts, paid out of the paracountess’s personal wealth rather than the Cheliax faction’s assets. This reward takes the form of a single item of the PC’s choice, granted at no cost. In Subtier 5–6, this item must have a regular market price of 1,500 gp or less; in Subtier 8–9 the item must cost no more than 3,000 gp. This item is not restricted by the normal limits of Fame, and can be selected from any legal source. Denote the selected item on each PC’s respective Chronicle sheet.

See you later, freedom cowboys.

Erin replies to Kulik suddenly from the back of the cart.
"I am a believer in freedom. However I was placed in the dilemma of life or freedom in that man's case. I tried to give him the option of both, and he would not take it. In the end I really could not consciously make the choice between the two for him and live with it."
She then lazily points to Marduk among the gathered smokers just outside the cart and continues on.
"He seemed to want the man to have both those things too. In a way I passed the decision on to him. It was the cowards way out, and I am a little ashamed at what I have done. In the end you can bring a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink."
She finishes, with a somber look on her face.

But Markus person a person, not horsh, KULIK replies, a bit vexed. He is silent a moment, then continues.
Hard to pick freedom over life, not free if dead. But alsho hard to pick life over freedom, alive but shlave not worth living.
