Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I can definitely use the rods." Abomentolor tells, collecting the items. "This cube might be nice. It keps things out. might work to keep the water out. Those ioun stones are for sure nice too. But we'd have to sort through them first."

Brother Grergof Varsk |

I was actually going to talk about the demon when we were finished here. If it is still bound to the room forever, I have no problem leaving it as it can’t do any harm, as nobody can get there without the Sihedron and we are keeping that. Better than it being free to tempt beings when back loose in the planes.
Now if it is free we need to remove it from the Plane.

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I wonder if we could send it back to the bottom of the sea where it came from." Abopmentolor muses. "Would that cause another tsunami?"

Brother Grergof Varsk |

I would think that depends on how fast we could drop it into the water.

Ardan Kiel |

"No, although the Sihedron is the easy method of traversing the teleporters it is not the only one. I believe that casting spells of the appropriate thassilonian schools into the points of the teleport circle, you could trigger the circles... I would suggest killing the demon, or banishing it from this plane at minimum. "
"I wonder if we could send it back to the bottom of the sea where it came from." Abopmentolor muses. "Would that cause another tsunami?"
"It might, but I would say these are both tomorrow's problems, I think... I can return us to the temple of Desna with a word of recall, in Magnimar, we can rest and make a plan."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"Resting always sounds good. Not that this fight was hard on me. It was mostly watching Grergof getting beaten up and you spamming the whole place with oversized tigers."

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Ahh, so someone could stumble into this Fiend. Ok then we should remove it. I am not as blessed against demons as the living dead, but I can still hold my own.
I think I used up every favor I have to keep me from dying. But other than that and the memory of being extremely beat up, I could probably take on another fight. Just be ready to heal me if I take a ton of hits again.

Ardan Kiel |

"Are we going down there to settle her now, or are we going back to Magnimar and settling her tomorrow? If we are going after her today, I want to pray for a bit, so we can be protected from the abyssinium in the air...
If we're going back there today, I want to prep a life bubble in an empty slot...

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Lets do it while we have the honor of Aria’s assiatance
I assume even with the 10 min to fill the slot we can keep the minutes per level buffs as it hasn’t been that long?

Foxy Quickpaw |

Ardan prepares and cast life bubble, to make sure the poisonous star metal in the room won't hurt anyone. Then the group moves to visit the Marilith again.
As you open the door and step into the room you are greeted.
"Oh, you return. Am I finally getting the entertainment I crave for?"

Ardan looks at the firepower being launched, and decides to wait; it's quite possible that anything he'd do is completely superfluous...

As suggested after the first attack Grergof send the Sihedron to whoever is getting Full Attacked (if not him). Assuming of course it actually gets a second round. :)

Foxy Quickpaw |

With Atua's critical hit and Grergof's very painful hit on top, the marilith is destroyed.
The collection of swords is impressive: A +2 abysium longsword of life stealing, an adamantine longsword, a horacalcum longsword, a +3 inubrix longsword, a +1 construct-bane noqual longsword, and a +1 flaming burst
hot siccatite longsword.

Ardan Kiel |

"Well, that was short. Spugnoir, do you have any idea on how to collect all the Abyssinium dust and vapor out of the air here - I wouldn't want to leave it lying around..."
Maybe Abo with Prestigidation? Might take him a while though, if it's a big room...

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Well that was easy. Do we want to try under the water now?

Ardan Kiel |

Hmm..I think there should only be the mechanical soldiers down there. With Xin gone, they won't be a problem.
"I hate it when people say things like that... The lower level(s) are flooded. Let's come back tomorrow with everyone set up with a swim speed."

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Also Xin was complaining about Slithering from the halls below. My guess is there is more down there then just more soldiers.

Foxy Quickpaw |

After the crystal is taken and stashed away together with all the other good, nothing spectacular happens, but the lava rain in the damaged room stops.
As all agree to prepare better and not rush into the deep blue sea - or what is caught of it in the palace - the group returns to Magnimar.
And Lini gets the feeling there will be business coming soon.

Ardan Kiel |

Ardan whisks the group back to Magnimar with a word of recall...
In the evening the group gathers at Abo's bar to celebrate their victory (
and perhaps to plan their next foray into Xin's palace) ...
Are we doing this second boss fight or not?

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"Yes. It is not enough to kill the dead guy again, we also need to wipe the floor with his friends." Abomentolor comments. "These lands have a lot of problems with guys who don't stay dead as they should."

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Things not staying Dead does seem to be a theme for us.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Grergof tosses some of the Ioun stones up and starts them floating around his head.
Maybe we sell some of the sky metals we picked up, then pick up anything we want, and maybe plan spells….
Hey there are some interesting stones here. Who wants what?
Stones added to discussion for people to ask for. Like the not beading air could be useful under water.

Brother Grergof Varsk |

Bad very Bad. Greregof shakes his head but can't stop a smile.
Father Keil and Mr. Spugnoir, you two are probably the ones best able to tell us what you can do to aid us with dealing with the water, so I'm guessing we need you to start on the plan.

Ardan Kiel |

"Well, Bevaluu told us there is a huge aboleth out there; they like water... I can protect us against mind control effects." (communal protection from evil).
"Perhaps the first thing we should do would be figure out how each of us functions in an underwater environment. I can summon environment appropriate creatures, and there are environment appropriate control spells available to me. So, given magical protections against drowning and underwater movement capabilities (both of which I can provide) I am little hindered."

Abomentolor Goblinburner |

"I haven't met aboleths. But if they can do magic, can they destroy our magic? It would be bad style to walk in prepped and then be turned into a floater with an antimagic field or something leaving us drowning."
"Also, I never liked water and I have no clue what will or will not work of my magic. I guess fire not so well and lightning will shock us all? And are aboleths susceptible to my magic, or will they shake it off anyway?"

Brother Grergof Varsk |

My ring allows me to move and attack in the water, and the Sihedron can change any of us into sharks. So I can work in the water. There is a stone in this batch that allows people to survive without air. But there is only one, so we need something to let whoever doesn’t have the stone breathe. But I am not great at swimming, so something that lets me swim better would be most welcome.
