Rd 2:
.
INITIATIVE:
3 Dark Slayers in Inner Chamber = Cast spells on themselves
Knowledge Local for creature info
Gregary = Casts Light, creating Low Light condition in much of the Inner Chamber. Checks and sees that Cora is unconscious.
Wulfrun = (Sorry, I know it sucks.) Decided to sit out most of this fight, blinded & stunned, when she chose to fail her Will Save, ...but she DID draw first blood!
Cora = unconscious
Lilitahs the Sin Spawn =
unconscious & bleeding out Stabilize: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Cayosin = TBD
Terra Minora = TBD
Raggo = Moves into the room and (I assume) with his Readied weapon, treats one of the creatures he sees with the same love and kindness he showed Lilitah's.
Cutie = Guards outside (I'm assuming Readied Action for attack)
Aerodus Aluain = TBD
- - - -
Logistics:
Raggo is in the circular, inner chamber with the 3 Dark Slayers.
Aerodus Aluain is at the inner door next to the fallen Sin Spawn.
Wulfrun, Cora, Gregary & Terra Minora are in the crowded Foyer, just behind Aerodus Aluain.
Cayosin, our sage-like, er, Viking-Blooded-Barbarian-hybrid, wisely and ponderously stands outside with Cutie (the rhino-looking elephant), enjoys the setting sun, the fireflies, and rereads the sign on Rudwilla's door, "Go Away."

DM Ray |

If someone who acts before Raggo in Rd 2 enters and Flanks with the mighty Dwarf, it will give him a +2 to his attack. Doing such WILL provoke an AoO from a Dark Slayer as you exit a square that the one Raggo attacked is threatening.
The Dark Folk are wielding Falchion-looking weapons.
.
.
.
If you guys could do a "Rd 1" something-or-other ahead of Actions in combat, I think it may help fight confusion and ambiguity.
Do you guys think it'll help, or if there is even any need?

Terra Minora |

Rd. 2
With the monstrosity dead, Terra catches sight of the strange creatures that were in the shadows. She grasps her holy symbol and sends up a prayer finishing with a crack of her whip in the direction of one of the figures, "Kill your friend there, he offends my sight."
I cast Murderous Command (dc 15 will negates) on the creature furthest to the right of his compatriots (hard to give better than that without a map to reference.

Non_Player Character |
Dark Slayer
Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Looking at the beautiful Calistrian who tripped his Mistress, one of the Dark Slayers doesn't even really try to resist her bewitchments -- and looks to his now former companion engaging the Dwarf with ambitious malice in his shadowy visage. He can't wait 'till the top of round three to prove his worth to the lovely spellcaster.

DM Ray |

Just to reiterate...
Room 1) The foyer is 12 feet long and there are two alcoves in the left wall and two alcoves in the right wall. Each of the four alcoves, covered in cobwebs, contains a bust of one of Rudwilla's past four husbands.
Cora, a young girl who cast Sleep on the Sin Spawn when Wulfrun charged in to attack, is unconscious and "stuck" to the floor with some kind of arcane residue/slime. Gregary is kneeling by her, assessing her injuries (rather unsuccessfully do to an unfortunate Heal check).
Room 2) The Inner Chamber is circular and there are three Dark Stalkers in there with Raggo. Raggo is adjacent to ONE of them.
On Terra Minora's turn in Initiative, another of them fails his Will Save and will attack the one on Raggo next round.
The inner chamber is considerably larger than the foyer, but it is in Low Light conditions and there are plenty of objects on the floor -- including a massive (a full square) cauldron in the center.
One can flank with Raggo, who actually goes late in the round so the +2 bonus would go to whomever goes second in initiative, but that will provoke an AoO. If you go before Raggo, Raggo provokes when he come in and gets the Flank bonus -- if you go after Raggo, you provoke the AoO and you get the +2 flanking bonus.
Or you can attack another Dark Stalker (presumably on one that Terra Minora doesn't (or hasn't) cast a spell.

Cayosin Ormr I Auga |

ROUND 1
Cayosin seeing no room to enter waits outside until the bottleneck clears up enough to squeeze through.
ROUND 2
Finally seeing an opening, he enters and his eyes adjust to the lighting level. After he enters, Cayosin attacks the closest Dark Stalker that will not provoke an AoO, and he attacks the darker twice to test its defenses, RRRUSSSHHH!!!
Attack1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage1: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
RRRUSSSHHH!!!
Attack2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Damage2: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

Aliesah Leafborn |

starting to feel a bit left out, Ray, as you recapped everyone's actions (including cuties) but didn't mention aliesah. :(. Just joking
Aliesah looks for a shot at the stalkers, moving into the doorway if she can. If she cannot get a shot, she will ready an action waiting for a clear shot.
comp longbow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 -4 cover + -4 in combat = miss by miles. May have missed the door

DM Ray |

Sorry, Chillblame; I forgot about Aliesah.
With unmitigated gall Aliesah fires into the relative dark of the inner chamber, missing embarrassingly.
.
.
.
Choosing not to flank with the one on Raggo of Gorum, Cayosin enters the inner chamber and attacks one of the other two Dark Slayers, having as much "un"success as the Dwarf.

3 Dark Slayers in Inner Chamber =
One in melee with Raggo.
One in melee with Cayosin
One that failed a Save from Terra Minora's spell
Gregary = Attempts to Heal Cora and casts Light
Wulfrun = Blinded and Stunned
Cora = Unconscious and prone
Lilitahs the Sin Spawn = unconscious but stable
Aliesah Leafborn = Shoots an arrow at a creature but misses
Cayosin = In melee with a Dark Slayer
Terra Minora = Casts Murderous Command
Raggo = In melee with a Dark Slayer

Aerodus Aluain = tbd

Aerodus stopped over the unconscious Foe at his feet before moving deeper in to the house, stepping around his allies deftly and positioning himself to attack the Stalker furthest from the one who looks goofy and love struck taking advantage of any possible misstep or advantage he can.
Flank if Possible/PA1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 122d6 + 12 ⇒ (6, 1) + 12 = 19
His blade flies over the head of the enemy and bites deep in to the wall of the house. He pulled hard, ripping it back Out with a growl.
"Kann ihre vorfahren Aufschub verweigert werden!"
I'm not fluent in German so it is just a translator job but... Yeah I went German for Dwarven. Hope that is okay. And that it says what I intend... And that I didn't just order some form of strudle!

Creature / Fiend / Monster |
Dark Slayer AoO
Aerodus Aluain, are you flanking the Dark Slayer with Raggo -- or are you flanking the Dark Slayer with Cayosin? (Either way you provoke one AoO to get into the Flank, but which PC do you want to join?)
Upon seeing himself becoming surrounded by the new thieves, Kirapetsh the Dark Slayer lashes out with his masterfully crafted Dark Sword (falchion) to slay the impertinent human with eyes like a lizard. Those odd eyes -- Kirapetsh aims for those odd eyes.)
Dark Slayer AoO: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 . . . . Out Vile Jelly: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 4) + 3 = 9

DM Ray |

@Aliesah Leafborn,
You know that the Holy Symbol on Lilitahs is that of a famous Demon Lord of whom you've learned, but you just can't remember which one. Maybe Rudwilla, Alakart or even The Scarlet Knight will be able to answer.
Regarding Dark Slayers, You know that they are often Rogues and Assassins that often learn tricks of arcane magic (Rogue Talent Magic). (You also know the Fluff in the Link.)
You know that while Dark Stalkers are usually leaders and that Dark Creepers revere Dark Stalkers as almost godlike, Dark Slayers have been known to rebel from Dark Stalker clans.
You know that not only do they prefer Darkness (or Low Light), they actually have EX & SU abilities that can only function in Darkness AND they are Dazzled in Daylight conditions.
You also remember something Hibiscus told you once about Dark Folk when there were some creatures from the Underdark threatening the Verduran -- when they die they release some kind of vile, probably necromantic energy. Each Dark Folk species would be different, Hibiscus surmised, but expect that upon each Dark Slayer death, some noxious something will be released into the air.
You also have one question regarding the basic stats of the Dark Slayers (strong & poor Saves, resistances, a specific SP, SU or EX, etc.)

![]() |

I'm flanking Raggo, as I assume the order went Enthralled Stalker - Cayosin Threatened Stalker - Raggo Threatened Stalker.

DM Ray |

Rd 3:
.
INITIATIVE:
3 Dark Slayers in Inner Chamber =
One in melee with Raggo of Gorum and Aerodus Aluain: (In the language of Dark Folk) Dwarf! You shall fall first!
slashing at Raggo's beard: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23 . . . . 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5
And takes a 5' step out of flanking; is still adjacent to Raggo but NOT the winged Aasimar.
One in melee with Cayosin:
(In absolute silence)
slashing at Cayosin's draconic eyes: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 . . . . 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 2) + 3 = 7
One that failed a Save from Terra Minora's spell:
(Calmly and confidently strides to the Dark Slayer adjacent to Raggo & Aerodus and proves his mettle to Terra Minora by Flanking with the PCs)
slashing at the Dark Slayer: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20 . . . . 2d4 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 + (1, 6) = 13
Gregary =
Wulfrun = CAN SEE!!!! But is still Stunned.
Cora = Unconscious and prone
Lilitahs the Sin Spawn = unconscious but stable
Aliesah Leafborn =
Cayosin = In melee with a Dark Slayer
Terra Minora =
Raggo = Flanking a Dark Slayer with Aerodus
Cutie = Guards outside (I'm assuming Readied Action for attack)
Aerodus Aluain = Flanking a Dark Slayer with Raggo

Cayosin Ormr I Auga |

Round 3
Cayosin seeing the Dark Slayers being hard to hit changes the choke on his quarterstaff, "YOU WANT TO HIT MY EYES, DON'T YE?" TWO CAN PLAY AT THAT GAME!"
Cayosin attacks the Dark Slayer in his eyes in return with a single more focus staff jab to the eyes, "RUSSHHH!
Attack1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
DAMAGE1: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
Cayosin is visibly angry now.

DM Ray |

Dark Slayer "blood" squirts from the cowl where Cayosin HITS Kirapetsh!
.
Meanwhile, Kekwheral prepares to slay the filthy dwarf in front of him but is quite unnerved about being attacked by his ally, Khalylrok.
.
Khalyrok, for his part, shakes off the bewitchments of the Calistrian's vile spell and is horrified at the atrocity he has committed: Attacking a fellow sacrosanct is heresy! He spits at Terra Minora's direction and plans a special, torturous death for her -- one that will make the Kytons envious.
...After he deals with the dwarf and aasimar in front of him.

Gregary Belias Crowley VII |

Gregary uncorks the vial of troll styptic in his hand and begins to spread it on the unconscious girl at his feet, trying to ensure that she wakes and is okay as soon as possible.
Cora gains fast healing 2 for 2d4 ⇒ (4, 2) = 6 rounds.

Aliesah Leafborn |

Seeing the crowded room, aliesah changes tactics.
Aprehendit persona
Ray, my question is what are the resistances of these creatures?

DM Ray |

Gregary applies the salve to the young girl and she immediately awakes to consciousness, though she is weak.
.
Aliesah targets the Dark Slayer in melee with her dragon-blooded friend Cayosin, with her Hold Person spell, and Kirapetsh tries desperately to ward off the mental attack on his WIll:
Come On...NAT 20!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Kirapetsh now looks at Aliesah Leafborn with the same malevolence that Khalylrok has for Terra Minora.
.
Dark Slayers are nearly immune to most Poisons (+4 bonus & can reroll once) but magical energies such as fire, lightning, acid and frost harm them as easily as they harm people not of the Plane of Ethereal Shadow-Stuffs.

Raggo |

Round 3
PA: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (3, 1) + 16 = 20
Raggo whips his head back and forth between Aerodus and Cayosin "Aerodus... Cayosin... fancy seeing you here HA HAA." The burly dwarf laughs at loud as he heaves his blade up and over his head in a devastating arc.

One that failed a Save from Terra Minora's spell:
(Calmly and confidently strides to the Dark Slayer adjacent to Raggo & Aerodus and proves his mettle to Terra Minora by Flanking with the PCs)
HITS THE DARK SLAYER FOR 13 HP
Gregary = Brings Cora back to consciousness, in all likelihood saving her life!
Wulfrun = CAN SEE!!!! But is still Stunned.
Cora = Conscious and healing, but weak and stuck to the floor of the foyer.
Lilitahs the Sin Spawn = unconscious but stable
Aliesah Leafborn = Casts Hold Person but the Dark Slayer resists!
Cayosin = Does about half as good as Raggo of Gorum against his Dark Slayer. ;)
Terra Minora = Calls the Divine Favor of the Savored Sting upon herself.
Raggo = In a cleaving arc, Raggo's blade comes down hard on the Dark Slayer's shoulder blade, cutting deep enough for him to wonder if he wants to continue this fight.
Cutie = Guards outside (I'm assuming Readied Action for attack)
Aerodus Aluain = Yet to Act in Rd 3!

Terra Minora |

Rnd 3
Seeing her spell working beautifully, Terra casts another prayer to her goddess and feels the favor of Calistria flow through her.
I cast divine favor on myself and otherwise stay where I am.

Round 3
Aerodus steps to the side, flanking the Stalker with Raggo once again, before swinging his blade with all of his might.

Shifting 5 ft to flank with the other Dark Slayer, no longer under Terra Minora's spell:
Murderhobo the Dwarf!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 .... Death to Dwarves: 2d4 + 3 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) + 3 + (1, 6) = 16

Flanking Raggo with Kekwheral:

Gregary Belias Crowley VII |

Gregary looks at the little girl. "You ok?"
He has confidence that Wulfrun, Raggo and Aerodus all together can defeat the three sinspawn, but he can be there for them in a moment if he's wrong. "What did they do to you? Where did all of this...glue come from?"
I'll spend my turn trying to help her get out of the glue and out the door.

Cayosin Ormr I Auga |

ROUND 4
Cayosin uses his staff to block Kirapetsh's assault, then using the whole staff , he strikes towards Kirapetsh.
Bash Kirapetsh: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Put the Kabosh on Kirapetsh: 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Kirapetsh remembers how much the last strike hurt and dodges the blow.
Rats! Don't be giving your dice to me GM Ray :-) Passing the evil loaded dice to Aerodus

Terra Minora |

Terra moves into the room to try for a clear lane to attack Khalylrok, and cracks her whip at his legs in an attempt to trip him as she did the hideous creature from before.
CMB Trip: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
I'll stay 15 feet away if at all possible.

Raggo |

"These guys seem friendly, do you think they'd like to go grab a pint?"
Raggo swings again, coming from the side with a wide slash.
PA: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 Damage: 2d6 + 16 ⇒ (1, 3) + 16 = 20

Aerodus laughed softly before stepping in to another flank, driving his blade deep and hard in to the back of the Stalker.

Khalylrok (who earlier failed a Save from Terra Minora's spell but is now in control of his mind once again)
I will kill that vile lady who attacked my mind as soon as I finish off this dwarf and aasimar!
Flanking Raggo with Kekwheral .... Misses Raggo
Gregary = Helps Cora and is Readied to help in combat if needed. Please Roll Diplomacy for Cora's reaction; obviously you have a pretty good circumstance bonus!
Wulfrun = Runs in and attacks the Dark Slayer engaged in melee with Cayosin Dragon-Eyes. (And like her allies, misses embarrassingly on her first swing.)
Strike One!
Cora = That red lady-thing came out of nowhere; I thought it was Rudwilla coming back from collecting the troll warts. She cast a spell that reminded me of that Web spell that Rudwilla's trying to teach me. But it wasn't Web. This magical goo was just all over me and I fell. Then her hands started burning and this spout of flame came from her hands. I blacked out just as these three shadow-mummies came in....Oh Pharasma, there still in there! Cora panics as she realizes the Dark Slayers (which she misidentifies as "shadow mummies") are still in the inner chamber.
Lilitahs the Sin Spawn = unconscious but stable
Aliesah Leafborn = TBD
Cayosin = Now flanking with Wulfrun, misses!
Terra Minora = Lashes her whip at the Dark Slayer flanking Raggo of Gorum and, perhaps because he is now ready for her attack, shuffles his feet over the whip, avoiding the trip.
Raggo = Wields a mighty blow, killing the Dark Slayer where he stands!
Cutie = Guards outside Readied Action
Aerodus Aluain = Sinks his blade deep into Khalylrok as the Dark Slayer must be a bit off balance having dodged Terra Minora' trip attempt.

DM Ray |

At Kekwheral's death at the hands of the dwarf, the Dark Slayer's corpse, covered in the shadowy wrappings of Ethereality, shudders and deflates -- unleashing a hissing sound of invisible, inodorous, poison gas, that permeates the air to an area of 60 feet.

EDIT:
Lilitahs Saves vs poison.
Cora Fails, sinking back into unconsciousness as her skin takes on a sickly gray color as the gas invades her bloodstream!
Gregary -- had you not given her FH, she would have gone from mostly dead to all dead. And looking through her pockets wouldn't even turn up any loose change. Well done!

Gregary Belias Crowley VII |

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Diplomacy Check? (probably unnecessary): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Gregary coughs as the smoke envelops a large area around them, although he leans down to try and shield the girl beneath him from whatever he can, folding his body over hers.

DM Ray |

Raggo of Gorum feels rather than smells the poison inundating his beard and flowing into his nostrils, ....feels his blood slowly turning cold and deteriorating & coagulating in necromantic death. Then, almost as an afterthought, Raggo of Gorum remembers that he is, after all, still a Dwarf -- and digs deep into his inner constitution, fighting off the poison at the moment before his life drains away!
