Straight chestnut colored hair sweeps back from a regal youthful face. Her eyes are mysterious but also sincere and her skin is smooth and alluring. She keep her armor perfect and shining, even in the darkness it reflects trace light like a mirror polish. A flawless sword hangs from her hilt, and the red and silver fabrics of her clothes flutter beautifully in the wind. However, no one of consequential skill gains an Order of the Star Banner like the one draped from her magnificent steed that walks, unguided at side her.
Wulfrun Taverner, or Wulf as many have come to know her by, is an affectionate, energetic, and perhaps a little too idealistic Cavalier of the Star, having sworn oath to protect families and the charitable from those that would prey on them.
Wulf was born in Cassomir with a loving family, daughter to Thon a lumberjack and Cyneth a business woman that co-owns one of the local taverns. Wulf lived in peace until she was about 14 years old when her older brother, Tellias, finally returned home to share news of his induction into the church of Iomedae his dedication allowing him to channel his deity's divine energy only solidified Wulf's idolization of him as her personal hero. Unfortunately Tellias wasn’t home to carry on in his father’s footsteps and so soured his relationship with Thon.
When Tellias eventually parted to return to Oppara, Wulf stowed away in secret to him. By the time Wulf was discovered, it was far too late to simply return her home; deadlines for important matters were far more pressing. So instead of returning her home, Tellias arranged to have her cared for at the church until the next opportunity, but he made sure to send word home that she was safe and would be returned as soon as possible. Unfortunately, a family friend sent a reply informing Tellias and Wulfrun that Thon was killed in a logging accident and Cyneth was so stricken with grief that she committed suicide and neither of the bodies were recovered for burial. Wulf's temporary adventure had instantly turned into her new life, a dark day that Wulf still relives in her nightmares.
While at the church, Wulfrun gained responsibilities, learned more of Iomedae and was humored with weapon training- until she started to show considerable promise. With the help of great friends, she went beyond expectations but with her talent for the sword and sense of humor, she unfortunately could not follow in her brothers footsteps which is what she truly wanted. However, her talent for combat showed enough promise that when a friend of the faith was visiting, he would vouch to tutor her to join the Order of the Star. Wulf would shortly thereafter become squire to Epistor Corentyn, a Taldoran hero not only because of blood but on his own merits, and Wulf quickly became a somebody.
However, Epistor did not supposedly survive to see Wulf take her vows, he disappeared mysteriously upon his return from a tournament in Oregent. Since taking her vows she has been lending her sword and aid to those in need all the while trying to look into Epistor’s disappearance, and her parents demise. Tellias has gained some measure of influence within the church over the last year with his sister at his side, but with his recent assignment he is removed from Oppara, giving Wulf time to return to her birthplace, and look into the strange circumstances surrounding her parents disappearance.
