@Gregary, Yes I remember you recommended that a month ago. In the PbP in which I play we roll separately and I like it. I'm going to try it this way and see what you all think. I think it should be fine.

Round The First:

(It is unknown what is the source of the sullen moans or pungent smell, but the door is ajar.)
Gregary & Wulfrun, you are roughly 30 feet from the entrance and a Swift Action can finish opening the front door since it's already ajar.
Immediate Actions can be used to communicate simple information.

Wish me luck on trying DMing my first PbP encounter; let's see if combat erupts or not...

You'll do great GM Ray ... :-)

Do either Gregary or Wulfrun want to do anything in the next 6 seconds, after Cayosin abruptly said he smelled blood?

male human magus (kensai) 4 | hp 40/40, AC 18, touch 17, ff 11, CMD 18 | Fort +6, Ref +5, Will +3 | Init +4, Perception -1 (status: nothing)

Gregary strides confidently forward, drawing his sword (an elegantly curved short sword, with the sharp edge on the concave side of the curve) and throwing open the door with his free hand. He readies himself to defend himself should anybody come leaping out, raising his sword in combat posture.

"Whoever is in there - come out and show yourselves now!"

Intimidate Check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18

Move action: Move forward to the door.
Standard action: Ready an attack should something attack me Falcata Slice: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27, Damage?: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Swift action: Throw open the door

If something should attempt a hit on me:
Gregary will spend a point from his arcane pool and his immediate action to use opportune parry and riposte and try to parry the attack. It eats up his attack of opportunity.

Parry Attempt: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 This needs to meet or beat their attack roll.
Riposte Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26 If the above parry is successful, this is versus their AC like a regular attack.
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Opening Rudwilla's front door the rest of the way, Gregary first sees a square-shaped foyer of sorts. On the left wall are two alcoves and on the right wall are two alcoves. Each small alcove contains a pedestal with a cobwebbed bust of a human male. Each of the four busts is labelled; apparently Rudwilla likes to keep the visages of her past husbands visible, cobwebs notwithstanding.

At the end of this twelve-feet-deep foyer is another sturdy door, this one recently blasted open by some force. Beyond these doors, Gregary can just make out the circular, inner chamber that Rudwilla calls her bower, complete with a cauldron in the center.

creatures:
Twelve feet in front of Gregary, barely conscious on the floor at the end of the foyer, is a young girl (10-11 years old) with mangy dark hair and a long face. Some sticky, viscous-like substance is slimed over her, apparently "gluing" her to the floor and perhaps draining her life. Roll a d20 if you have some knowledge skills; I will go to your PC sheet to find the appropriate modifier and inform you if you have the applicable Knowledge and sufficient DC.)

Hovering over the girl, just in the doorway 12 feet from Gregary, is this creature. It is wearing a Holy Symbol to its Dark Deity.(Knowledge Arcane for the creature, Religion for the Holy Symbol)

Finally, Gregary sees some shadowy movement in Rudwilla's circular chamber, and hears the rustling sounds that reminds one of the distinct noise of burglars plying their trade. (Perception DC 24 for a good look)

The Foyer with the alcoves & busts is in Low Light conditions
The inner chamber is in relative
Darkness.

"Somebody bring some light in here! There's some sort of... multi-mouthed monstrosity in here, accosting a small girl. And Terra, if you have a curative I'd bring it now."

Knowledge (arcana) for the creature: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24

Gregary knows that the sticky, viscous ooze on the young girl is magical in nature (requiring a Knowledge Arcana check) but is unsure of what it is, precisely.

Gregary also knows that the creature is a unique Sin Spawn, apparently formerly a human (or like) woman, perhaps a priestess, oracle or adept, who chose to undergo a ritual transformation on behalf of her deity. Considering that the Sin Spawn's pheromones are palpable even from 12 feet away, and its skin is the sanguine color of lusts fulfilled, you surmise that either the female or the deity (or both) are dedicated to perverse sexual taboo.

With a 24 total on Gregary's check, you may ask 3 questions about the mechanics of what this Sin Spawn can do, racially. Finally, one can also roll a Knowledge Local for Class-Level information once you see the Sin Spawn act. -See Discussion for explanation.

Logistics
With Lilitahs standing now in the door frame, only two adjacent PCs can reach her with non-reach weapons: Wulfrun if she takes a 5-feet-step (or someone who gets in fron of Wulfrun, and Aerodus Aluain who is directly in front of the Sin Spawn.

When someone brings in light this chamber will go from Low Light to Light and the inner chamber (where the other NPC is) will go from essential darkness to Low Light.

Of course, one could always tumble behind Lilitahs into the inner chamber beyond -- my "Dark Figure/s" may not even attack you ;)

Can you help me out a bit on Terra Minora's CMB?... You have +3 BAB and +2 DEX, yes? And then, do you have a penalty for some reason? Lilitahs has no cover, but, um, she is in melee though I don't know how that affects this.

+3 Bab +1 Enhancement on the whip. If I have a clear shot there is no penalty and it is straight cmb to cmd. If I hit her Cmd she falls prone. If I don't have a clear attack then subtract 4 from my total. I try for a clear line of attack and can move if needed to get it.

Okay, what about your DEX of +2? Shouldn't it be +6 total? There is no penalty.

Ah, I thought Weapon Finesse did that for you -- got it.

Terra Minora moves just inside the front door of Rudwilla's hovel and, from 12 feet away, lashes out with her whip, catching the Sin Spawns left leg and pulling it out from under her.

Adeptly, the Sin Spawn recovers, and awkwardly hobbles on her right foot as she tries to regain her balance, still standing.

Until the whip, on its return flight, catches the Sin Spawn's right foot as well and is just enough to make her completely lose her balance, falling prone.
