Kenza looks around for any more danger or clues...

After the battle is over, Vello takes a look around.
Perception DC20: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Spotting the chest, he moves over to it and kicks it open. "I found some loot. Come look."

![]() |

Kenza follows Vello's orders and looks in the chest. "Yes, sir."
She examines the objects, then makes way for the others to do the same.
Does any of the jewelry look like it might have belonged to the Pathfinder we're looking for?

![]() |

Kenza picks up the bracelet and shows it to her superiors. "She was either robbed, taken, or killed. Although I pray for her safety, I doubt we will find her still whole."
Then she goes back to keeping watch while her betters decide their next move.

![]() |

Vello frowns, "I'm afraid she is probably dead. If she is not, that might be worse. From what we have seen from these cultist, death might be the best option. Either way, it seems that is all to this barn. Shall we head back to the mansion and check the room we left unchecked or try to find clues for elsewhere?"

![]() |

"She's dead. Stop deluding yourself with wishful thinking and start thinking on how to give her the justice she deserves!" Thror tells Kenza with his usual blunt manner.

![]() |

"Lets head to the corn maze. Maybe that will lead to something. We should be careful though. They can set easy traps for us in such a thing."

![]() |

Kenza leads the way into the corn maze, alert for trouble.

DM Feral |

Remy finds that the corn has gone rotten on the the stalk. It appears this crop hasn't been tended in some time.
As the party moves through the maze, everyone eventually becomes aware of sheets of webbing and pallid fungus growing throughout the corn marking the corn as far from healthy.
Chanting can be heard as the party gets closer to the maze's center. An intense buzzing sound rises to meet the chanting until it's all the party can hear. The source of the noise reveals itself as a cloud of mosquitos rises from the corn to attack!

Not going to bother with a map. Black Maiden, Remy, Kenza, and Frostwind are up.

...I totally posted an attack yesterday. Not sure what happened to it.
Kenza pulls an acid out of her belt pouch and throws it at the swarm.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Acid Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Well that's way worse than my missing post. Dang. Haha.

![]() |

Kenza holds another acid ready. "Move, Remy."
She waits for Remy to move out of the way of the swarm, then she lobs her acid at the bugs.
Readied Attack Roll:
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Acid Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2 And 1 splash damage.

![]() |

Vello gets out of the way of those who have attacks that can work on the swarm.

![]() |

Vello steps back to give more room for those that can attack it but is otherwise unable to do much.

![]() |

Kenza waits until everyone's out of the way then tosses another vial of acid at the swarm.
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Acid Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Seeing Vello and the Maiden doing nothing, Kenza says, "There's more in my belt pouches."
After throwing this one I have five more acid and two more alchemist's fire. You guys are welcome to reach into my belt pouch and take one.
"Kinetic Blast (Sp)
At 1st level, a kineticist gains a kinetic blast wild talent of her choice. This kinetic blast must be a simple blast that matches her element. Simple blasts are listed with their corresponding elements.
As a standard action, the kineticist can unleash a kinetic blast at a single target up to a range of 30 feet. She must have at least one hand free to aim the blast (or one prehensile appendage, if she doesn’t have hands). All damage from a kinetic blast is treated as magic for the purpose of bypassing damage reduction. Kinetic blasts count as a type of weapon for the purpose of feats such as Weapon Focus. The kineticist is never considered to be wielding or gripping the kinetic blast (regardless of effects from form infusions; see Infusion), and she can’t use Vital Strike feats with kinetic blasts. Even the weakest kinetic blast involves a sizable mass of elemental matter or energy, so kinetic blasts always deal full damage to swarms of any size (though only area blasts deal extra damage to swarms). A readied kinetic blast can be used to counterspell any spell of equal or lower level that shares its descriptor. A kinetic blast that deals energy damage of any type (including force) has the corresponding descriptor."

Relieved the mosquitoes are gone, he then looks at those that got bitten. "No healing potions or such on me. Can someone heal them before we continue on."

![]() |

Kenza hands one of the healing potions they found earlier over to the Maiden. If no one has a way to heal Remy I can give him one of Kenza's personal healing potions as well.

![]() |

"Agreed" Thror nods grimly.
Unfortunately Thror can't use Lay on Hands on others due to the special rule "Alone in the Dark". Sorry for that. He will now spend 2 uses of lay on hands to be activated automatically "When I reach 0 hp or less"

![]() |

"The healing seems to be done. Good." He turns to Thror and Black Maiden. "Agreed. Lets move on. Perhaps end what is going on here."

Kenza continues deeper into the corn maze, alert for more enemies...
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

DM Feral |

Kenza and Remy hear ominous chanting from nearer the center of the maze.
After a few more twists and turns through the rows of corn stalks, the party finds their way to the source of a chanting.
A thirty-foot diameter glade sits at the center of the field of looming vegetation. The ground is stripped down to bare earth and soil is heaped in a ring around the glade’s perimeter. Two large piles of wood stand at the eastern and western sides of the glade, while an enormous, twisted mass of roots topped by thick slabs of timber sits at the glade’s center.
Ornigaard, the boy the party encountered when they entered Ravenmoor, is bound and gagged at the glade's center. The mayor, clad in dark robes, stands over the boy's bound form leading the ominous chant. Several more masked villagers stand in a row at the clearing's edge following along. Unlike the mayor, the villagers are clothed in gauzy diaphanous robes that closer inspection reveals to be thousands of buzzing mosquitoes.
One of the villagers calls out in a daze. "Join us!"
"Yes! Shed the shackles of your big city living and embrace the Gossamer King!" the mayor almost screams.

Kenza stays near her allies, ready to protect them from the villagers and their strange customs.

Seeing the boy is about to be sacrificed, Vello yells "SCREW THAT!" and suddenly fires a blast of energy at the mayor.

Frostwind looks suspicious and steps a bit back, just to be not targeted.
But then Vello casts his spell and with a shrug Frostwind grabs a flask of acid and throws it at the mayor too.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 261d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Frostwind, don't forget to try to confirm your crit!
The black maiden wastes no time. If there is a clear path the the Mayor, she runs up to him with her sword... If any villager gets in her way or tries to stop her, she attacks them with a vicious blow.
