I think folks should realise that likely one or two characters at most should know of Syntira and none should note ever being in her presence.
As she is a VERY rare NPC to know of and even less to be interacted with.
Mr Summers might be the only one I would even considering say he has interacted with Syntira due to him being a fey himself.

Should of made note of that in the NPC list when I made it.

I'm assuming my NPC section having to do with her is appropriate?

I just had a hard time with that given the NPCs given and with my backstory. There's not a ton of space for barbarians to live in Andoran and I like the concept of a descendant of whatever dwarves lived in the region before they fell.

I dunno, if you have any notes to spice up my submission, I'd appreciate them, even if you don't accept me for the game. It can only help me get in another game later.

The backstory works and does not work.

Yes, there were dwarves in the region, but lived where now ruins remain.

A tribe living for generations in the forest you would likely learn the name of Syntira, but odds are she would not of wanted a fight with people living off the land and would of likely asked your tribe to be intermediaries between the Fey and the People of Falcon's Hollow, unless there was another factor that stopped that, and I'm betting odds are it was someone from the Lumber Consortium. Heck I would not be surprised if the Lumber Consortium had a hand in the fall of your tribe.

Summers would likely know of Syntira because of his fey heritage but probably wouldn't have actually met her himself.
If he was really unlucky then Syntira might have heard of him ;)
Btw, what WOULD a tribe of Fey Satyrs know about Syntira the Eternal Queen?

But, what a twist!

I get where you're coming from. I was imagining a tribe that had managed, through being migratory, small, and relatively low impact, had managed to go unnoticed for a long time in the DEEPS of the forest. Mixed race with a few families of dwarves, mostly humans, and maybe a smattering of the other core races that only really had contact with the beasts of Darkmoon Vale and the fey.

Boreas Summers:

Syntira is 1 of 11 Eternal Monarchs ,
She Rules the fey of the Darkmoon Vale region,
She has a Sister,
She Prefers Diplomacy over fighting,

And you also know Nymphs are the Nobility of Fey in the region.

Tribe is the wrong scale to use now that I think about it.

And the Deep of the Forest is likely controlled and heavily populated with Fey.

Realistically the group would of been somewhere between 15-50 people,
So it would of pretty much been like a mobile Thorp or Hamlet.

Moved List to new Page...

Current Character sub List

Dugan Dwarf Barbarian.
Darion Human Wizard
Kinshara Human Cleric
Ulark Half-Orc Paladin
Inconu Human Bard - Alternate Submission
Bastian Human Bard
Boreas Satyr

Tomorrow both I and Vayelan will list, in order, the 6-7 characters we want sans the two decided beforehand (see above).

The lists well be sequenced top to bottom in order alternating between the two lists. If a character is already taken the next one in the current list is taken instead.

This will allow both GMs to equally have the characters they wish to have in their game.

I need Vayelan's Player pick List
Then the groups can be decided

AZ Player Pick List Order:

Kinshara Medaan

Okay then, here's my pick list.

Good to have a group! I'm new to PbP, but happy to try it out. My background probably still needs a few refinements. Given what was said above, I'll probably assume that my character doesn't know of Syntira's existence, and so forth. I'll review the backgrounds of the other characters in the party as well.

Discussion Thread for AZ Group is Open
Please dot in it if your in the AZ Group.

Once everyone has posted in their Discussion threads they can start.

Everyone should aim for one or two posts per day to get a good pace and player retention.

Here is the campaign discussion thread for the other group

See you on the other side, team!

Hey, all. I'm new to this site and new to lawful alignment, but I'm gonna give it a go with Wu Chen the Fighting Nun of Yet-to-be-Determined-in-Game-Goddess! If there's a goddess of dancing (or a Lord of the Dance), that'll do. Wu Chen will either appear human or actually be human, and being a monk, she won't cut into the party's weapon/armor budget. Unless there's a really nice cestus available, so she can double her crit range and punch sharks.

Anyway, it's late. I'll check out the game thread tomorrow and hopefully finalize my character soon so I can jump in the game, if Wu Chen is welcome.

Your In,
Hop into the discussion thread and we'll help fill you in on the campaign setting.

We have a spot or two for a new player(s),

I do recommend reading through the Recruitment OP and thread for Notes on what I'm looking for in a submission if you intend on applying.

I'll be keeping it open for a week or two

Assuming you are recruiting for new to your game and not specifically new to pathfinder, I would like to submit "Thorion Trepador" for consideration. I originally created him for a skulls and shackles game that I was unfortunately pulled away from by an unavoidable (RL) circumstance. Now that things have settled, I am once again interested in getting into a game. I believe Thorion’s original build meets the character creation format of your game, but I’m not 100% positive. Take a look over his profile and let me know if anything seems off or needs to be corrected. If drawbacks are allowed, I will need to select another trait. If not, disregard the drawback.

Background, personality, and reason for adventuring are included in his profile.

No drawbacks

While the Layout of the alias is good this
Sample Warpriest Layout is better at checking if everything is written in the alias,
as I don't see your racial traits even though your human.

Your Backstory does Nothing to mention Falcon's Hollow, how you got there and what you've done,
that and Pharasma does not have any churches or Lore for the area at all. Local religions are Mainly; Iomedae, Erastil, Calistria, Cayden Cailean, and Kurgess.

The Character would of likely arrived during the game's first time skip that is about 7 years of time, which means your character should of developed a relationship with the Locals,

---- TO ALL NEW POTENTAL NEW PLAYERS ------

I recommend adding this as a spoiler in your alias'; so I understand and use this bit for extra NPC actions and interactions.

History/Other with town Locals:

Name:
Relationship:
History:

Other:

------------------------------

Name:

History:

Other:

The Other entry is basically notes for the GM to better understand the NPC's thoughts and actions towards your character.

List of Locals:

Boss Payden “Pay Day” Teedum (male human), overboss of the Lumber Consortium
Gavel Thuldrin Kreed (male human), leader of the Lumber Consortium
Kabran Bloodeye (male half-orc), Rouge Lady owner, leader of Redrock Guild
Lady Cirthana (female human Cleric), priestess of Iomedae
Lord Locksly (male human Paladin), Captain of Iomedae

Namdrin Quinn (male half-elf), Quinn’s Carnival owner

Now since more time skips are planned for this game, with the planned being about 9 more years to the Beginning of the last module Hungry are the Dead.

New players can start the game as young adults (14-18), *Start as a child of one of the custom NPC's, or **start the game married to an NPC with some children.
* Character is pretty much done and made just get to add/change one or two things. Only time this option will be open due to the nature of this current module.
Ask to see which NPC are open to be used as PCs
** NPC marriage partners are selected from a few basic NPCs I generate, then that selection will influence the children generated,
the player would only need to fill in a few things.

If you need help building your character's background as a local, ask and I'll answer or help you the best I can.

The stat block (Crunch) I am using is the BBC export from hero labs. I’m not sure why it didn’t include the racial trait in the crunch.

Drawback has been removed.

Human trait has been added (Under special abilities).

NPC contact tab has been added. NPC contacts will be added to the list as I flush out a little more detail in the background.

The background I Included on the profile was somewhat vague in regards to location and contacts so that the character could be fit into a number of game hooks (GM’s discretion of course). I wasn’t sure how much liberty you wanted me to take on filling in the specific campaign contacts / hooks. I will work on some more specific details that will tie Thorion to Falcon’s Hollow and work them into his background. This might take a couple days for me to do a small amount of research and articulate the details correctly.

Some of the NPCs in the list are Custom NPCs and one has changed position.
And some of the Content is changed from what is up in the wiki

Noted

OK, I have extended Thorion's background into a second background tab Labeled "Falcon's Hollow Background." Hopefully this should explain his presence in Falcon's Hollow and connect him to a number of NPC's

I have also updated the NPC tab to reflect this background. Let me know if I missed anything or need further updating.

Might want to be careful, Mary Droven is the wife of one of the PCs and the current shrieff.
Also her ferry/boat tend to go more up and down the river.

LoL, I never said anything about having my baby! Only simply that he felt comfortable talking with her.

Wasn't sure, as text lacks tone and other things that help with context...

And every NPC you put on your relations list is taller then you, except for Lady Cirthana.......

Other NPCs you'll likely meet via contact or location of contact;
Lady Cirthana is also married to Lord Locksly....so likely to meet him at the Kirk (Church)
Eve Holdfast works at the Busty Minotaur as a Barmaid, and Cook.
Luk goes to the Kirk every now and then to give report(s) of his findings on something(s).....

some NPC heights:

Eve: 5'9" Changeling
Lady Cirthana: 5' 10" Human
Noya: 6'0" Half-?? ?Half-elf?
Vona 6'6" Changeling
Mary: 6'9" Human
Mina: 7'6" Half-Minotaur, ?Half-Elf?

Hu Wang: 5'9" Human
Luk: 6'3" Human
Duke: 6'5" Human
Locksly: 6'7" Human

Also Choose one as this will influence things for the character;
Character will remain single?
or
Character will get married?

Dotting for interest - I have been wanting to game in Falcon's Hollow, and this sounds like a great opportunity.

If I understand correctly, we start at level 2 and it is assumed we have been living in Falcon's Hollow for some time? Or would it also be acceptable if we were newly arrived?

While that's a GM call, I can tell you that when I joined mid-game (when the party was still Lv.1), I came in as a new arrival, which made more sense to me than being born and raised a local. Other players knew the history and major events that happened in-game, while I could play a clueless little girl. Immersing myself into the game felt natural since I lacked so much knowledge out-of-character.

Yes, Level 2.

Do assume living in the Hollow for some time (min 4 years), and I do prefer new Player Characters being a local of the Town.

Their are reasons for this....one of which may happen...

Good God! Mary is a 6'9" tall human? Now that's an amazing gene pool.

Do to Thorion's lack of personality, which is a direct result of his background, he will remain (single). It would take a woman with extraordinary patience and intuition to see past Thorion's rigged exterior and find value in who he truly is. Presumably, something like that would take time, so for now single.

Mary is that Tall primarily due to her Ulfen Heritage and
Yeah, When I make NPCs I randomise a lot of parts.....
But that randomisation helps in building the NPC's persona and background.

This definitely has the contours to be a great game - I am just not feeling the necessary inspiration to write up the character in as much detail and background as seems to be required from the get go.

So will not pursue this one further - great gaming to all of you!

I sure hope my unusually long background doesn't lead anyone to believe that a long background is expected. The reason mine is so long is that I had created a personal background for Thorion before submitting him to anything. This background was more designed to reflect his personal story, which doesn't reflect any connection with any specific story line. The second background that I put together is more tied to this storyline, but its length was not a requirement by the GM. Simply, I wanted to smooth it onto his original background, which meant a little more explaining. This should not reflect a necessity to create a wall of text.

The only request I have received from the GM is, why is your character in Falcon's Hollow, is he an already existing part of the community, what connections does he have with the existing NPC's, and is he married. All the rest of the fluff I decided to add.

@Albion, The Eye

Thorion is right, I don't need a detailed background covering every year of the character's life, just one to three paragraphs and some connection info to 2 or 3 NPCs.

Link to post with NPC notes.

Also if you don't want to make a background there are NPCs available to use, but you take their pre-defined data.
This is also the only way to get started with the family perks (i.e. start with a bonus feat above normal) and maybe know things other character's don't know.

I'll keep this open for another week and see.

Seems No one else applied.....

Ya, it has me scratching my head. Well at least your "PrC Power" game is filling up. A lot of people looking to play something different.

well head on Over to the Discussion thread

New Spots have opened.

What’s current party composition look like? Also, still level 2?

Currently have a Ranger and a Wizard.

Level 3.

Dotting

Looks like you might could use some skill support and trapfinding. So I'm thinking probably a Slayer, or maybe an Alchemist.

Might want to read the campaign and get an idea of what you may be getting into......

@ snapzilla22 and Ouachitonian
Are you still interested in joining the game?

I'm currently reading through the gameplay. I'm considering an Astral Deva if that is what you meant by angel. I'm at about 600 of 1700 posts.

Yes, Astral Deva is open, but it'll need a character background where it is raised by mortal hands and not know of it's heritage.
Also your gonna have more nightmares then most currently if you choose it.

Still interested, when do you need character info by? I am somewhat familiar with the scenarios, I have read through crown of the kobold king
