Osric's eyes get wide as he takes in the extremely dangerous situation he's in. He hurriedly sends arrows away, aiming first for orange, then dark red.

Modifiers: PBS, Inspire, Haste, Rapid Shot, Deadly Aim

Confirm Iterative #2?: 1d20 + 18 - 3 ⇒ (7) + 18 - 3 = 22
Xtra Damage?: 2d8 + 30 ⇒ (5, 8) + 30 = 43

I do have a number of decent results. If by any luck both orange and dark red fall, I'd switch to yellow.

Osric's arrow drive home, but without the white flash of their holy power. The first volley drops one girallon. The rest of his arrows clump together to drop another.

Kol Voss charges the remaining four-armed ape with his bastard sword coming down in a powerful arc. The ape wastes no time trying to sneak in a hit AoO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (7) + 15 = 22 and snags him for DMG: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16. ATK: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (1) + 18 = 19. It's enough to mess up his attack. The girallon keeps up the pressure.

Claw 1: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23 for 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Claw 2: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26 for 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11
Claw 3: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33 for 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Claw 4: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32 for 1d10 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
Rend: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Bite: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21 for 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (5, 1) + 8 = 14

The carnage is astonishing, yet somehow your new "friend" withstands the violence.

The red giant laughs at Roakar, speaking in Azlanti - but the meaning is clear, he's still the largest one in the arena. The fist aims at Ignatious: Fist: 1d20 + 24 ⇒ (12) + 24 = 36. The fist slams into the man 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12. Fort DC 24 or be stunned for a round.

The giant himself laughs again as the dust cloud dissipates. He aims at Roakar with a massive sword:

ATK 1: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (17) + 26 = 43 DMG: 3d6 + 19 ⇒ (4, 4, 3) + 19 = 30
ATK 2: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (9) + 21 = 30 DMG: 3d6 + 19 ⇒ (2, 5, 4) + 19 = 30

Not sure how I could have missed that post...

Darius brings the fight to the girallon. The assault nearly drops the beast, but when Roos adds a couple feet of steel, it's too much. The final enemy falls. Ignatious channels, but finds it not his best work.

Out of combat, everyone take one round of actions before...

Adril’s thrilled laughter echoes throughout the arena. “Well done, my little apprentices. You’ve bested my pets. Now face my CHAMPION!”

At that moment, doors open on the north side of the arena, just below the luxury box. A human male, dressed in the regalia of an Ulfen jarl, and two multi-legged beasts step from the darkness.

The man gives a sonorous laugh before speaking, “Ignatious my old friend. If you could have foreseen this, I bet I would have frozen to death! I can’t wait to share the story of your demise with Natalya. I'm sorry it has to be this way, but it appears we are now enemies. I promise to kill you last.”[/b]

Kol Voss looks at you all, his face covered in blood, much of it his. He then turns towards Adril and snarls...

"The Ripper!" utterly shocked. "How can this be? And where is your beautiful wife, Natalya Yagevna? You two, you where my greatest triumph. Stop this. Join us and turn, again, from the darkness. Turning back to the rest of the party, "Whatever is affecting his mind, Skelg was a friend. He is not to die, no matter what. I will not let it end this way."

Finally, turning to look at Adril in the eye, "You! Bastard. I have been defending you, hoping against hope that you, one we counted as a friend, where not a cowardly, backstabbing, traitor. For this, for what you have done to The Ripper, you will die! If you have corrupted Natalya too, . . ."

Darius dashes towards the massive beast. Limbs fall and blood splatters. The magus finds himself standing by the eviscerated corpse of a behir. The crowd goes wild.

Kol Voss shouts in Azlanti:

Azlanti:

To Adril, "I challenge you! By the ancient law I challenge you. We will fight the Right of Ascension for control of the Starsword!"

After his shouting, the crowd slowly quiets and murmurs rumble even as you fight.. Adril ignores this, but the crowd begins to shout at him in Azlanti:

Azlanti:

To Adril, "It's Kol Voss!" "He has demanded the right!" "You MUST oblige!" and chants of Kol Voss! Kol Voss

I can count on one hand how many times my 15-20 scimitar has critted since like lever 3 with this character, and I'm pretty sure one of those times was in this game. I have a Longspear Reach Cleric with a x3 at level 8 or 9, and have never once gotten a crit off with him. I hate the Paizo dice roller with a passion. Now that I'm deployed, I swear it has gotten even worse. My Thor character is about to die because I have not rolled anything higher than like a 7.

Does anyone know for sure if the Implanting Ioun Stones rules from Seeker of Secrets is legal, and if so, how is it noted? It's something I was going to ask at the start of part 2 and forgot.

<Moving the above to the Discussion Thread>

To the others, "Kol Voss just challenged Adril for something called the Star Sword. Adril didn't respond, but it looks like the people did, and are demanding that Adril answer the challenge."

Yes, they're legal (assuming you own the source.) I simply note them on the item tracking sheet (or chronicle.)

Its legal and free I think.. As long as you own the source..

Man I am so going to implant all of mine when Roakar can get some downtime.

I have alternative plans if Osric attacks and kills the other Behir. I spoilered my actions into a if/then

Roakar reacts as the Behir moves around the edge of the arena, taking an AoO in response (combat reflexes, 20 ft reach).
Attack AoO - R, RA, PA, H, IC: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (18) + 28 = 46
Damage AoO - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3) + 31 + (6, 2) = 53
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 5

Reflex: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Roakar is able to partially dodge the lightning bolt from the Bethir.

If Osric kills the Behir with his attacks:

Seeing as Osric was able to finish off the Behir. Roakar readies an attack in case diplomacy fails and Skelg moves in to attack (20 ft away).

"While I am all for making friends, if he moves towards us, I am putting him down."

If Skelg moves in, here is my readied attack @ 20 ft away, activating dazing assault.
Attack @ 20ft - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (5) + 23 = 28
Damage @ 20ft - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) + 31 + (5, 2) = 49
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 3

If Skelg continues to advance through 20 ft, here is my AoO.
Attack AoO - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (16) + 23 = 39
Damage AoO - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 6) + 31 + (4, 2) = 51
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Skelg will need to make a DC 23 Fort save for each hit or be dazed for 1 round.

If Osric does not kill the Behir:

Seeing that the Bethir is still standing, Roakar engages the Behir with a full attack. He activates his dazing assault power for the next round.

Attack 1 - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (15) + 23 = 38
Damage 1 - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) + 31 + (3, 5) = 49
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Attack 2 - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (7) + 18 = 25
Damage 2 - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) + 31 + (4, 4) = 52
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Attack 3 - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
Damage 3 - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 4) + 31 + (6, 3) = 49
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Attack H - R, RA, PA, H, IC, DA: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (18) + 23 = 41
Damage H - R, PA, IC: 3d6 + 31 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4) + 31 + (4, 1) = 47
Vicious: 1d6 ⇒ 2

If it is still alive it needs to make a DC23 Fort save for each hit or be dazed for a rnd.

No worries, I figure I'd keep a good balance between progress and opportunity. :-)

I hate when that happens, especially after a long or complicated post.

Osric's arrows mostly land. Even as the pierce the man's flesh he continues to be defiant. "Ignatious! You're better than this. See the truth of it! Watch your friends die!"

He turns towards Roos and begins hacking at the bard. The very grip of the Ripper's cuts into his hands as he swings. Blood falls from this fists. He makes no attempt to keep a defensive posture, focusing only on killing.
