From outside of the cave you see a pair of guards, expertly hidden. They're human, armed with spears, but look rather primitive otherwise. The cavern behind them is cleanly worked stone, but there is a ton of vines that stretch across the cave (which looks to have an opening almost 40' high.) One of them dashes inside at the party's approach.

Osric lays into his calling. His first cluster of arrows drops the red savage. The next arrow takes grey through the eye and out the back of his singed skull. His third leaves yellow to the same fate. His remaining arrows take orange out.
The lord of rangers exhales calmly as he looks upon his work... A bellowing voice from deeper in the cave begins chanting the words of magic, but they're too muffled to make out over the din of combat.

I was looking for a cool effect for the blade barrier, and I came across a .gif after just searching google. I was't sure a Google doc would support the animation, but it does! That immediately sent me to the internet looking for all manner of .gif, but I haven't had much luck yet.
