Ignatius can feel the spell's strength, but the Pathfinder elite's strength is stronger still. The Blade barrier drops, giving a clear view to the room beyond...

The most noticeable and harrowing feature of this room is the 60-foot-tall statue of Angazhan carved into the west wall. At its feet stands a candle-laden altar, upon which a female human lies bound. Two giant murals flank the statue, painted with mud, blood, and more unmentionable substances. Like much of the rest of the cave, vines cover the ceiling, though these vines hang fifty feet or more above the ground.

Dominating it all is a HUGE armored ape. He is gaunt and corpse-like. Frightening intelligence burns in his eyes and a bubble of magic surrounds his form. (Include a Knowledge (Religion) check on your next post.) He wields a terrible looking spear, but the words of magic escape his lips.

Hiding in the vines above is a powerful silverback gorilla.

The massive ape speaks a few simple words to his god and Ignatius feels his body withering under the unholy magic. Ignatius take 86 points of damage or 60 on a DC 21 WILL save.

This was tricky. There was no good way to engage the enemy this round.

Roakar will swiftly move up 50 ft to plant himself at the front of battle. As he is moving he drops his longbow and draws his hammer. Upon reaching his chosen spot, Roakar sets his feet and braces his lucerne hammer in case the gorilla charges him (ready attack when gorilla in range). Roakar will also activate come and get me, hoping to lure the gorilla into overextending itself on its attack.

Question: How far out does the magic bubble extend from the huge armored lich?

Technically they fit in it, but the corners are a bit weird.

The Ape, magically inclined as he is, thinks he's better than any hairless cousin, he stays on the defensive and does not take the AoOs

The antilife shell shatters under the barbarian's fury and skill. Then Roakar batters the ape with such force that Roos will write an epic poem about it after all is said and done. The Huge ape shudders and whimpers in pain, but does not drop!

My Favored Class Bonus is: Cleric Add +1/2 to damage when using positive energy against undead or using Alignment Channel to damage evil outsiders.
I also have the Sun Domain: Sun's Blessing (Su): Whenever you channel positive energy to harm undead creatures, add your cleric level to the damage dealt. Undead do not add their channel resistance to their saves when you channel positive energy.

No need to roll

The Pathfinders rush the Great Ape after Roakar's onslaught. Osric follow sup with an arrow that almost drops the beast. Knowing it will likely be it's last it tries to stab Ignatius, the Seeker of Flame as he approaches (using his very long reach) AoO: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (8) + 21 = 29 for 3d6 + 10 + 2d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) + 10 + (5, 1) = 25 damage. (Leaving him at 2 HP

Despite the pain Ignatius fights through the spear wound and delivers his blast which almost instantly consumes the lich in glorious heavenfire.

Armor, spear, and praeda fall to the ground where the body once was. The silverback immediately unshackles itself from the arcane hold. She quickly retreats into the vines and flees to the jungle, utterly terrified.

Out of Combat

We still have some decisions to make, and story to unfold, but I'll be reporting the game shortly and rolling boons! Well done yet again!

Roakar spends an entire round raging and stomping through the ashes of his foe before calming down enough to exit rage.

Roakar takes a seat as the post battle fatigue washes over him. "You can be my cheerleader anyday Roos. I will take a swig. Though if we ever get back to Absolom I am taking you on a true binger, especially when the drinks are on the house."

I've been waiting to do that for a long, long time. I managed to pull it off once in Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment.

I was at a little less danger that it might seem. I have the Dawnflower Sash, which 1/day auto casts Cure Light Wounds +5 on me if I reach -1 HP, as well as the DM Star Aegis of Recovery that does the same thing for 2d8+3, and finally, I just got Regeneration 1/10 mins, so I really can't die from HP damage at all. It was a big risk that might have taken me out of the fight, and that could potentially have gotten others killed.

Despite her vile transformation, she remains clearly human—at least physically. On her finger is her signet ring. You are sure this is her.

At the altar above her, you find four candles, melted down to the stone slab, each consisting of one of the four humors: red blood, green phlegm, yellow bile, and black bile. The eviscerated corpse of a shaven baboon lies at the foot of the altar, drained of all bodily fluids; there is no indication where these fluids are now.

That's what they said abou Gamin the MisReforged, and then it turned out to be a whopping 2nd Level Spell Make Whole at a Caster Level of 10. My Cleric could have done that himself!!! But, at least we know as an established canon fact that there are no 3rd level or higher Cleric/Oracle/Wizards/Sorcerers/Magus/etc in the entire Pathfinder Society. Oh, wait. . .

Since you collected Eddington Keel’s remains, when presented to Eliza and Osprey, the venture-captains shake their heads in dismay but ensure you that they will work with the Society’s best clerics to restore the fallen venture-captain to a life and full health. When told of the broken portal in Corentyn, Eliza promises to send a team to repair it, restoring access to the Maze from the Chelish city.

For your gallantry, each character earned the maximum number of campaign points.
