Id like to try to talk to the Naga and search for the vanished woman. Also maybe search bodies for clues.

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Sure! The bodies are easy (see below.) The naga left the way you entered, so she presumably is back at the lodge. Searching for the vanished woman is a Perception check.

The cultists have little of note on them, but they do each bear an amulet that proves to be Amulets of Nature Armor +1. The amulets are in the shape of a boar's head. One of them, however, has something REALLY interesting

Does he recognize any of the names? Taking 10 on Local garners a 31 check..

He'll tap himself with lesser infernal healing while we talk about it.. Shirley looks displeased with her master..

MAP TEMPLATES | Social Combat | War for the Crown | Campaign Tracker |

Darius, Shirley, and the rest of the Pathfinders search through the maze. Hear and there you catch the sound of rustling foliage, or a mostly muffled exhale. Magic auras are there one second, and gone the next.

But you are not merely fresh agents right out of training.

In time you spread just right to start herding the source of these disturbances. In a few minutes, you manage to drive the source into a corner, yet still there is nothing there. A narrow set of thin stairs leads some 20 feet up to the surface of a large raised platform just off the main causeway. The white marble structure bears significantly less damage than most of the other buildings in the courtyard. Dozens of humanoid statues crowd the open space around the foot of the stairs.

She's not going to go quietly, and you know she's got a fair amount of magic to keep her hard to catch, As you prepare to close the snare, she changes tactics and her form becomes visible as she finishes a spell of Slow!

Botting Osric

Osric keeps his distance from the medusa, opting for the bow at range:

Her snake hair begins to writhe and hiss. Fort save from Roos DC 19 or become just another statue in the Maze for all time.

Darius dashes in and lands a solid blow. The woman is bleeding, but still hale enough to fight.

Ignatius charges the medusa with power and skill, delivering a wicked hit. A split second behind him comes Osric's arrows. She can't withstand the attack and is dead in a matter of seconds.

Yeah paizo.com has been intermittent the last couple of days. I'm going to move on to maintain our efficient clip.

The medusa corpse eventually comes to rest, the final snakes slowing down over a few seconds. She did possess a couple of items of note: bracers of armor +4 and a +1 shocking burst longbow.

There is nothing between you and the exit now. Your search of the Maze which led to her leaves you confident that it holds no more secrets.

Everyone ready?

The end of the Maze is a portal similar to the one you entered. The view beyond shimmers and stretches. It looks like you'll be stepping through to either a hallway or narrow tunnel. It's hard to determine.

Osric grabs the enchanted longbow and fits it his efficient quiver. He takes whatever arrows may be left. Then he bexkons to Grimtooth and gives the wolf a few gentle pats.

He is quiet as the party searches, and now after the fight he grows even more somber.

His thoughts drift, and he is clearly trying to work out all he has to take in. He again followsthe group to the end ofthe maze. As the party makes their final adjustments he checks his vow and quiver, rhen saysquoetly:

Was the woman I saw earlier with the Ape this Medusa? If so, I'm ready. If not, I want to try to find her. I feel like we where brought here for a reason, (which might have just been a trap), but still, with a name of what seems like assassination targets, I wonder if there is anyone here that was meant to be, or has been killed.

Also, I'm rather happy that that Ape wasn't what I thought it might have been (from Before the Dawn 2). That would have wrecked us, but if we survived, been bloody epic.

The tunnel soon begins to wind and wend. It goes on for some time, eventually opening up onto a high platform overlooking an enormous chamber lit by distant torches and small clumps of phosphorescent fungi. A relatively flat floor about 20 feet below falls away into a black abyss at the center of the huge chamber, bridged by a thin natural span at the center of the room about 40 feet away. Several torches light the bridge, illuminating a tall human warrior in red plate armor pacing nervously, sword in hand. You can just make out the forms of archers along the far ledge, and lurking shadows near the close edge suggest skulking humanoids somewhat larger than an average man. Immediately east of your high platform, about 20 feet below, is a pool of dark liquid, perhaps fed from some natural spring.

Standing on the span is a man holding a longsword so comfortably, that it looks like an extension of his arm. He shouts in Galtan accented Taldane, "Who are you? State your business and be quick about it!" As if to emphasize his point a pair of bugbears on guard below heft javelins and eye you from distance.
