Eukaeros Shadowstep |

Eukaeros will convey the inormation out loud. Shall I carry the other, master dwarf, for safekeeping or would you like to carry them both?
As Max moves to go, Should we not wait for Malaki to return? Rather than follow I mean?

Roman Andari |

Roman stares at the hammers with a blissful look on his face for a moment, but then shakes his head to clear the greedy thoughts dancing in his head.
"If anyone feels they can be quiet, I suppose they should go. Personally, I'm as silent as an earthquake, so it's best I don't."

didn't realize what was going on.
Right, I should probably wait, if he is going alone for a stealth mission. And Max waits.
Roman Andari |

"Oh, I'll take those off his hands," Roman says to Eukaeros nonchalantly as he plucks the hammers from his hands and puts them in his magical bag.
"Quite heavy and cumbersome. Better if I hold onto them anyway."
Roman then hiccuped for some odd reason.
"Pardon me."

Oskar Lutgehr |

" hmm What, aye, ahem... Sorry, musta dozed off a little. Best not to waste these little moments of inactivity don't you know. Old veterans trick bein' able to catch a few winks like that. Keeps the energy up. "
Oskar blusters,
" Can I examine the 'other' hammer while we wait Roman? "
Oskar looks over the unidentified hammer, examining any engravings or runes.
Int check for lore?: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Failing that he gives it a few test swings.

Roman Andari |

Intelligence: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Nice.
"Someone is playing a trick. This is a Magic Mouth spell. I knew a wizard who liked to cast this sort of thing all the time. It was infuriating. But it doesn't seem like the kind of thing a giant might cast."

Oskar Lutgehr |

" Damn, let's just hope it didn't alert the giants. We should probably move from here quickly. "
Oskar listens out for any approaching enemies.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

"The Lucky Halfling" |

"I agree that we should be ready, but to move from here could cause us to leave Malaki to fend for himself. I'm sure he'll return if he finds it necessary for us to quicken our pace."

Eukaeros Shadowstep |

Sorry that I didn't post yesterday, work has been a bit *AAGGH!*, also I will be heading out of town for a conference tomorrow so my posting will be spotty through next friday. I should still be able to get in fairly regularly but I wanted to give a heads up. Bot me as needed.
Mages can be odd fellows. The elf doesn't offer any emotion to suggest he is joking or not.
Looking around the space the elf beings to fidget ever so slightly, I am not usually the one left behind to wait. It is in times like this I wish that I might have taken a familiar but alas I did not pursue that course of action...

Max gain will use a perception check to determine where the growl is exactly direction wise and how far away it is. perception: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (17) = 23
He will also use a nature check to determine what animal the growl came from or even if the growl is man madenature: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (1) = 4

![]() |

Max will speak in a low voice, whispering loudly. Guys, this thing is like at the entrance, not further out

![]() |

Max Gain goes in first with his Maul equipped and readies an attack for whatever comes at him.

Malaki Davont |

Sorry for the holdup, family life has been hectic...
Malaki would have went back and warned the others, then moved up with Max. As Max prepares to force his way in, Malaki hides and prepares to rush forward and cut down whatever beast lies on the other side.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24

Eukaeros Shadowstep |

Smashed phone, overlong conference, crummy hotel with crappy (read horrid) internet and flights up and down the west coast later...here I am...
Sorry for the delay. Glad to be back.
Eukaeros nods as the fighter moves with the maul, the illusionist knocking and arrow and covering the human as he moves forward.

What is the door made out of? If it is wood, I can borrow someone's dagger or short sword piercing it through the wood and start cutting a hole in the middle of the door in a circular motion

DM Nerk |

It's wood, but probably a good 6" thick.
To be clear, I am assuming that you're pushing the door relatively normally, not trying to force it. If you want to try to force it, that's fine, and possibly doable, but nobody said anything about it. With things like "I open the door" I don't like to add "by any means necessary."

Roman Andari |

"Let's move onto another door. Perhaps these are the wolves from your last foray. No need to unleash them right now. We can come back and check for treasure -- I mean, survivors -- later."
Roman then awkwardly cleared his throat.
"Malaki? Max? Next room?"

![]() |

anyone have a short sword I can borrow? I can piercing through the wood driving the sword in slowly and cutting all the way around the wood in a circle, give me about 30 minutes and it will be done.
to be clear on what I'm doing, you know how you have those people that use tools to cut through glass, instead of breaking the window, they cut a circle in the middle of the glass and go through, I piercing the sword through 6 inches of wood slowly and I'm slowly sawing in a circular motion.

DM Nerk |

I see what you're doing Max, but I'm betting an axe used in the traditional overhand fashion will be much faster and not a whole lot louder than trying to push a blade through 6" of wood and then sawing a circular hole through with a straight blade.
Malaki from room 6 (after this, I'm putting the map in the campaign info tab, which a smarter GM would've done forever ago)... there's the hall that goes north, which has a set of double doors at the end, and a set that leads to 22 (the direwolves courtyard). There is a set of double doors at the south end of room 6, and a single door going south at the intersection of the halls just before room 6.

Malaki Davont |

Or find a way around.
With that simple statement Malaki darts back into the shadows, attempting to press on through the double doors to the north.
Stealth: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14
Search Door for Traps: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

![]() |

Max just tags along hanging in the back.

Eukaeros Shadowstep |

Yeah I think it might make sense at this point for the lot of us to move behind Malaki, even if he is "ahead". Not only is boring to guard an empty room but I'd rather not just be a sitting duck for some giant patrol to walk in on me.

![]() |

Max throws 2 pounds worth of kitchen food over way their heads to distract the wolves with food.

Roman Andari |

Unless I'm mistaken we should all still have Bless up.
Whenever a target makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, your blessing allows it to add a d4 to the result.
"So much for stealth. Put them down quickly!"
Sacred Flame (Dex Save DC 15): 2d8 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6

DM Nerk |

Wolves have good noses, and Malaki rolled horribly for once.
1d20 ⇒ 2
1d20 ⇒ 13
1d20 ⇒ 6
1d20 ⇒ 12
1d20 ⇒ 11
Two of the wolves turn and snap at the halfling arm that Max throws over their head, distracted, and the other howls in pain as Roman's flames blast it. A moment later, that wolf has charged the cleric, snapping at him to no effect.
Players up.

![]() |

Max will stand back and cast guidance on the closest person to him. He will move away slowly after that like oh well, not my problem.

Roman Andari |

Roman blocks the wolf's bite with his shield, The Maiden's Song. He then takes out his silvered mace channels radiant energy and brings it crashing down on the snapping maw before him.
Divine Strike with Mace: 1d20 + 5 + 1d4 ⇒ (6) + 5 + (1) = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 2 + 1d8 ⇒ (4) + 2 + (1) = 7
He then backs away slowly, and prepares to use the light of the Morninglord to keep him safe.
Flare: When a creature that you can see attacks you, you can use your reaction to cause light to flare before the attacker. This light imposes disadvantage on the attack roll. An attacker that cannot be blinded is immune to this feature.

Killing wolves makes me so sad, they are like dogs, pets I enjoy. But I Can't hurt the party either, it is a good thing I took a neutral position on this.
also I didn't specify, but my guidance was casted on whoever calls dibs for it, not even the player knows, but Max knows and whoever calls dibs knows.
