The other one steps down into the boat and attacks Derantil.

Derantil may need to change his action for this round cause I think he was just grappled.

I do not see a link to the map. If it makes sense for Deranthil to wait for a flank he calls for one and readies, otherwise he just attacks.

Seeing the shapechanger head into the water Joshua looks down at Albert and says "Get him! That's gator bait!" and the alligator splashes into the water chasing the creature.

Jordy nods at Diomedes as he goes through the 'sailors' pockets and clothes to see if there was anything to identify where they were coming from. He gestures at the rowboat they had been in. "Could someone check to see if we can figure out where they were? They were out getting drunk somewhere."

They were likely at the newly opened Tavern. Most of the colonist gather there once the days work is over to relax a bit before bed but the place is likely empty now.

I meant where were they rowing from, like another island or something. Would they have needed a rowboat to get to the tavern?

The rowboat is used to travel from and to the Ship which is anchored not far from the coast and is to large to get to the dock.

You check the tavern and find it mostly deserted. Cattenbury the man who reopen the tavern and has been running is still there cleaning up. If you ask about the sailors he is surprised and says that they were indeed here most of the night celebrating their safe return and having a good time with everyone, nothing about them seemed strange.

Gizmo could use a few drinks, but also thinks it is worth a tour around the tavern talking with the sailors to see who could remember what about the three impostors.


Everyone is gone, At this stage your next move would be to rest for tonight, make some inquiries the next day and most likely you will need to return to the goblin cave to interrogate the queen again

I just don't understand where these guys were coming from. They were drunk, so they came from the tavern, but why were they in a rowboat? We're on land at the dock, so they should've been walking? Am I just misunderstanding something?


They took the rowboat from the longship to the village went to the tavern, spent the night drinking and were returning to the dock to take the rowboat back to the ship afterwards.

You go and get some rest and the next day meet with the expedition leader and the ship captain and explain to them what happened.

"There is still some hope that the sailors are still prisoners then. For now we will keep this under wraps as much as possible I don't want panic in town with everyone suspecting each other of being doppelgangers."

"When your ready I will give you a ship and you can return to the cave to have another talk with their queen. This time we cant take them at their word. Try to find out more about who or what this bigger fish they were talking about it."

Getting ready for bed, Gizmo downs one of the CLW extracts he had for the day. Feeling much better, he hands the other to Derathil. "Drink this... you'll feel better in the morning."

Gizmo CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Derathil CLW: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8

With a night's rest as well, that should put Gizmo at full hp, and Derathil at 22/24.

"Eww. Well, let's wrap them tight and drag them with a rope. I don't want to get caught in a fight underwater while wrestling with a body..."

Preparing extracts for the day, Gizmo works quietly until the rest of the group is ready to go.
