Weapon and Armor Proficiency:

A fighter is proficient with all simple and martial weapons and with all armor (heavy, light, and medium) and shields (including tower shields).

Bonus Feats:
At 1st level, and at every even level thereafter, a fighter gains a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement (meaning that the fighter gains a feat at every level). These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats, sometimes also called “fighter bonus feats.”

Upon reaching 4th level, and every four levels thereafter (8th, 12th, and so on), a fighter can choose to learn a new bonus feat in place of a bonus feat he has already learned. In effect, the fighter loses the bonus feat in exchange for the new one. The old feat cannot be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat, prestige class, or other ability. A fighter can only change one feat at any given level and must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time he gains a new bonus feat for the level.

Physical Description
Bastien has the well muscled body of a trained athlete. His long back hair is cut short in the front, and braided in the back in a warrior's braid. His strong hands have short fingernails and show the calluses of a trained fighter. While his face has so far been blessed with no scars, his body has enough for a runaway slave, a legacy of 10 years of daily training with blade and mace, polearm and bow, sling and dirk.


As the oldest brother of seven children Bastien learned from a young age on to belong to a big group and take responsibility. He enjoys the presence of other people and the sense of comradeship a group can offer. As a trained pathfinder and with two minor expeditions already completed he knows things go wrong and do go wrong, but he likes to think that with hard work and training, one can minimize the problems that befall any one.
He is a firm believer in Abadar and he carries a holy symbol around his neck he sometimes kisses for good luck. His strongest asset is patience, he developped a combat style to wear out his enemys.
His biggest flaw is when he made up his mind he sticks to it, when he is attached to something he feels uncomfortable without it.
He is an warden at heart, loyal to his friends and comrades and with a healthy dose of wanderlust!


Bastien de Navarre was born into the pathfinder. His father Etienne des Navarre, a tall dark-haired native of Taldor, is a veteran of many years. His mother Giselle Malvoise, a petite woman from Galt, whose family had fled when the Red hand of Doom had started, was a young scribe and clerc, joining the pathfinder and usually joined an expedition as chronicler.
She fell for the big man-at-arms, with his broad shoulders and silent competence, who was unbribeable and his testemonys always on the point. After six months, she decided that they should marry. Etienne´s opinion was not really asked and while he was a Rock on the battlefield, socially he was really shy and a bit awkward. It was not difficult for the girl to steamroll him and drag him to the church.
In a Temple of Abadar they made their vows.
Almost two years later Bastien was born. Over the next few years their life was good, she bore him another 2 sons, Perre and Valad, and the daughters Sophona, Merlena and Jassca.
Bastien comes straight after his father, with strong bones and a huge back.
His father taught him of sword and shield, mace and bow, spear and dagger. As soon as he was old enough, he joined his father as a pathfinder aspirant, dueing duty all over Taldor, watching the market, hunting bandits and stood guard in the night at the camp.
Now after his confirmation he heard of the chance to join an expedition towards an uncharted island. Thrilled, he applied, ready to make his name.
