Still working on updates, this will be fully operational once more no later than Sunday. Once more, my apologies for the delays. :-(

Updating now.
There are some stragglers who I believe did not respond to some posts early August, go ahead and chime in now. I am as back as I am going to be :-)

Yeah sorry bad month there. Tomorrow I will dedicate the afternoon to getting my games up and running once more.

Storyteller Shadow |

It sounds like it was a heck of a month.
Had its ups and downs mostly downs.
Adjusting to the new Kindergarten schedule and having to have the child up early has been the toughest part as now my day needs to start and hour or two earlier, finally adjusting to that pattern, well almost anyway!

I got a new doggo a month ago. Now I have to get up at 4:30 with my husband to keep an eye on her. It's killing me. I have time in the mornings to post, but my brain just isn't working too well at that time.
That's what has been happening to me, I get home at night and I am just too damned tired to think so I go to bed. Luckily tonight I am feeling ok. I am sure being sick and the cough itself lingering along with crappy rainy weather for two weeks did not help. I am sure it is no coincidence that after two sunny days the cough is gone.
What type of pup did y'all get?

Storyteller Shadow |

OK, getting to late to update this one. I will get this reset tomorrow.
Thanks again for the patience.

Sorry guys and gals, lot of kiddie crap to do tonight.
I will update tomorrow at lunch.

hey Ranerius,
The renaissance didn't really get started until around 1406. The city states of Italy particularly Venice and Florance and Milan being at constant war and being major points of trade were uniquely positioned with wealth and power for such a thing to occur. The Peace of Lodi in 1454 cemented the renaissance between these three major powers.
Anywho. The ideas you are playing with in your songs could be one of the very sparks that gets the above ideals going most especially the Greek versus Roman ideals that Milan being a monarchy and Florence being run by the Medici.
It wasn't until the sudden death (who knows how this really happened in the world of darkness) of Giangaleazzo (somewhere at the beginning of the 1400's although I don't remember the exact date) where his empire collapsed and the seige of Florence was ended that got things moving in many historians eyes.
I am such the geek.

No worries I too have fallen behind once more.
Yes please update Maria!
I will be posting tomorrow night when I have a good stretch of time to myself. I have have contracted the amount of games I play in once more hopefully that will help me timewise.

Just to be straight Menelaus was with the Greeks whom attacked Troy due to the taking of his wife Helene of Troy(who becomes a Toreador). Manelaus's mortal life ends at the base of Troy when Hector Tamer of horses kills him during a duel which was supposed to be with Paris.
Attend to me muses and hear the tale.

I get the idea that folks in this game like vampires and other nameless, timeless horrors. A 1 player rpg game where you play such a creature is currently up on kickstarter - Thousand Year Old Vampire (link) - that I found fun. There's a free pdf of the playtest version of the rules linked on the page. It's basically a guided writing game, where you create characters and events based on prompts the game provides.
Anyway, I found the free version a great way to spend an evening, and thought some of you might too!

I find amusing that the Brujah has to worry about not frenzying and drinking someone dry at the same time the Toreador is worried about romantic complications in his life. It's almost like the ST is trying to test characters where they might be vulnerable :)

Weird right? :-)

I may have mentioned this before but in playing tabletop with ST close to 20 years we learned not to buy/enjoy houses/castles/etc in game as they always seemed to burn down, crumble, etc.....
LMAO, it's longer than 20 years so it's clear you cannot believe a word this man says!
