Thirzin, can you put you AC, Saves, perception, and Init in the Class, Race, or sex fields? this will help me out and make it a little easier in combat or when you need to make a perception check.
How much of Horatio's backstory have you read? There's at least some ammo there, and one big phobia you could have fun with. Might have to read between the lines and make a few connections, but it's there.
I know I tried to build some (admittedly vague) hooks into Pavanna and Quinta’s history, especially the portion of it that took place in Cheliax itself. ;)
Olivius has some not-so-subtle hooks. :P

Fo'getaboutit! I enjoy coming up with stories and it's even more fun when I can tie them to someone else's. That's the best part about this game is that the players and the GM are telling a story together. I'd rather be writing an entertaining story that requires me to improvise than one where I'm bored out of my skull.

Like when they had a long week of inclement weather, and asked Oleg to order in some books for them. Books. So they could read up on history, geography, and siege weaponry while they waited out storms. The Desnan cleric has ordered holy texts from all the other gods so she can find out what they're all on about. The monk asked for a nice blank journal so he could start writing the history of his code and future monastic order.
It's nice, but more than a little bizarre.

After reviewing more videos, I realize that Olivius's style will drastically change around level 3. There's a reason he has a Str of 19. You probably couldn't handle a polearm one handed with anything less. :)
Most polearms like the Guisarme were held with the butt end, the spear point, forward and the ax head back. One would engage with the spear and bring the ax head to bear once engaged.
However, since my spear tip and ax head are on the same end of the weapon, It'll probably produce a style must like this Very theatrical one consisting of sweeps and stabs from reach combined with bull rushes and shield bashes when enemies close.

That's because it's most always two handed in real life. It would take massive strength to control a weapon like that one-handed. Thank goodness this isn't real life. ;)

BTW real Muay Thai fighting seldom gets a kick to the head. usually lots of attempts and manuvering then a few punches (looks alot like regular boxing.
but if there is the actual kick to the head, it usually is a one hit knock down.

Truth be told, I built Yuto so he could go toe to toe with Noro and win handily. Noro is that much of a beast that I went a little overboard. ^^;
